Chen Jian had held this side of his back from Yun Anong when they had dated back in high school. He was afraid she would run away the moment he boldly made a move on her. Though, it wasn't like Yun Anong had met him as the sweet and kind Chen Jian.

"Smoking is forbidden on the school ground."

Chen Jian spun around to find a fourteen-year-old girl with pinchable cheeks. She had long black hair pulled into a ponytail and big round eyes. She gazed him up and down with her mouth dropped.

Tch, he blew his last puff without caring that he was caught red-handed. Dropping the cigarette on the ground, he used his feet to kill the fire.

"Ho, who knew the gentleman and all rule following Chen Jian was really like this."

Everyone knew him as the kind-hearted and gentleman type. But he knew he was not what they had perceived him as. He had created the image himself, but sometimes it was annoying to keep up the facade.

"What will you do about?" Chen Jian sneered, crossing his arms.

If he recalls, she was the student who entered Winterville high school based on a scholarship, Yun Anong. She was the hottest topic of the year when the school had finally let a commoner enter. Something about trying to get along with society, more like trying to gain a good name for the school. It was all his father and older brother ideas.

"Nothing." Yun Anong shrugged, leaning on the edge of the rail squinting her eyes for a better view at the garden club. "Aren't those flowers beautiful? It'll look amazing on a dress. Imagine, real flowers sewed onto a dress."

Chen Jian had a confused look. She sounded like she was putting up some sort of justice earlier, only to merely ignore him right now. Really, was she doing it on purpose to get his attention?

Yun Anong sighed, "Hmm, though it wouldn't work because the flowers will not last a day after being picked. How annoying! Tsk, I wish Yi can see how gorgeous this place is with me."

Was she talking to herself or to him indirectly? He wasn't sure if he was supposed to answer her when she seemed to be talking to herself. Chen Jian became amused with the unique way she had used to get him to notice her.

Yun Anong raised an eyebrow when she found Chen Jian still standing behind her. "Huh? Why are you still here?"

"Me?" Chen Jian pointed a finger to himself.

"Duh." Yun Anong's eyes scanned the rooftop as if she was looking for someone. "I don't see anyone else here."

What! Chen Jian sighed and rubbed his forehead. First of all, he was here first. Second, she was the one who interrupted him when he was trying to enjoy his cigarette. Third, she sounded like she was talking to him. Fourth... Looks like the list can keep going.

"Then why were you trying to sound like a goody two shoes a moment ago?"

"OH, that!" Yun Anong exclaimed, seems like she realized what she just did. "I hate the smell of cigarette, and I have a really sensitive nose."

She dared get rid of his last cigarette because of this reason! "Aren't you afraid I'll report you for trespa.s.sing the rooftop?"

"You won't, or I'll drag you down with me as well." Yun Anong replied back confidently with her head held high.

Chen Jian was starting to get more intrigued by Yun Anong's att.i.tude. She wasn't like the other girls here who did things intentionally to get his attention. "Don't you know who I am?"

"Sure, sure. Winterville prestige high school second son. A gentleman that is known by all and one of the top ten most eligible husband." Somehow, Yun Anong sounded like she was insulting him instead of praising him. Especially when she was waving her arms about at every sentence.

"Pft." Chen Jian burst out laughing. She was interesting indeed.

Chen Jian gazed at Yun Anong's face who had her eyes wide open.

"Just kidding, my tsundere princess." Chen Jian teased, placing a kiss on Yun Anong hair strands he held in his hand.

Chen Jian's eyes glistened with a hint of danger momentarily. He turned away from her, grabbing the ice pack wrapped in a towel and placing it on her swollen cheek.

Eek, what was up with that? I straight up cussing out loud. I did not mean anything else by it! Where was all this luck with handsome men seven years ago? I mean, my gosh why am I meeting such shameless men ever since I returned. My star must be moving towards marriage this year or something.

"This is for you too," Chen Jian handed me a bag filled with all sort of delicious junk food.

"I can't... Ouch!" My mouth was in pain whenever I move it. Those goodies in the bag were all my favorites too.

"Eat it when your mouth heal," Chen Jian patted me on the head like I was a little child. "Should we get going?"

The vibrating noise was coming from my purse, someone had texted me back. I knew who it was, so I bid Chen Jian farewell. He stopped me from leaving, stating that he'll take me back. Without a doubt, I denied him and promised I would treat him out to repay him for today. I dislike owing someone a favor.

I got into the taxi that was waiting for me outside the motel, closing the door I dialed the next person on my to contact list.

"Hui Yin, cancel all contracts with Mu's company if they refuse to change the spokesperson."

"Got it, CEO Yun."
