The Kings 22 It Stings!

"anong, are you okay?" Chen Jian stuttered, he was fl.u.s.tered when she suddenly fell down but happy that he was able to catch up to her.

He saw that the right side of Yun Anong's cheek was swelled up. Her shirt was torn and tied back together to hold it in place. Chen Jian reached out to touch her cheek, but it caused her to yelp out in pain when he came in contact with it.

"What happened to you?" He asked, taking off his blazer and wrapped it around her shoulders.

"None of your business." I tried to take off his blazer, but he held my hand to stop me from removing his blazer. I was too embarra.s.sed for him to see me in this condition. Why does he always have to run into me in my worst state?

"Keep it on," Chen Jian blushed, he could see Yun Anong's bra through the holes that weren't tied together.

Chen Jian helped Yun Anong stand up by holding her arm and hand. She winced in pain, her knees were bleeding due to being sc.r.a.ped by the cement sidewalk.

Suddenly, I was lifted up from the ground. In the arms of Chen Jian, I was in a princess carry back to his car. Now, this was more embarra.s.sing than my half-torn shirt. At least it can be mistaken for a fashion trend or something.

"Put me down!" I struggled to get out of his arms.

However, Chen Jian did not let her go and held her more tightly in his arms. He opened the pa.s.senger door and tucked her in, making sure to seat belt her as well.

"Where are you going?" I asked, blowing on my peeled skin. Having a cold breeze against it was soothing.

"We, are going to the hospital." Chen Jian gave me his usual warm smile before turning his focus back on the road.

"No need for something like this," I muttered. These injuries of mine can be effortlessly taken care of at home.

Chen Jian glanced at me at the corner of his eyes, "Where would you like to go then?"

Well, I'm not sure where he should take me. I didn't want to give him my actual address or my temporary apartment address either. When I didn't answer Chen Jian, he came to a stop at a drug store.

"Wait here for me."

He left the car and walked into the store. It didn't take him long to walk back out holding two white plastic bags. He opened the back seat to put down the bags before getting in the driver seat. Then he made another stop at a clothing store nearby. The last stop was at a small motel in a corner.

"Let's go," Chen Jian got out of the car and grabbed the bags in the back.

Seeing that I did not move or open the door, he came around and opened my door. I narrowed my eyes in suspiciousness. "Why did you take me here?"

"I can't treat your wounds when you're wearing jeans, right?" Chen Jian gave me his warm smile again. "I bought you a pair of shorts and a shirt to change into. Unless you wanted to be treated by just wearing your underwear..."

I wanted to smack that innocent smile off his face, "I don't need your help."

I really didn't. I was just about to call for a taxi until I "coincidentally" b.u.mped into Chen Jian. I'm not one of those main characters who are helpless and needed a.s.sistant twenty-four seven.

"We can do this the easy way or the hard way." Chen Jian rolled up his sleeves.

"I'll go! I'll go!" I unbuckled myself and followed Chen Jian into one of the room. Lately, wherever I go is either causing a scene or about to have a scene. Yikes! I probably have to go cleanse my lousy luck away as soon as possible.

"Here, change into these." Chen Jian handed me the bag with the clothing.

When I got out of the bathroom, he already took out the items to clean up my wounds. I was touched Chen Jian went through the trouble of helping me. When we didn't have anything with each other anymore, not even friendship.

"Done?" Chen Jian turned around to look at me, taking me by the hand he brought me back to the bathroom. "Sit here."

I sat down at the edge of the bathtub as told. Chen Jian turned on the bathtub water and tested the temperature before grabbing my legs. He ran the rushing warm water down my legs to wash away any dirt. Right next to him, Chen Jian grabbed a towel out of the bag to dry my legs. I told him I'll do it myself, but he wouldn't let me.

We returned back to the bedroom, I sat on the edge of the bed while Chen Jian grabbed the other items.

"f.u.c.k!" I roared when he dabbed hydrogen peroxide onto my wounds. It stings! My immediate reaction was to fan my knees hoping to dry it faster.

Chen Jian was taken back when he heard Yun Anong swear. Not only did she swear, but she roared in the process as if someone had hit her. Such a soft tigress.

"What? Never heard me swear before?" I laughed with watery eyes, trying to keep myself from crying due to the pain. Thinking about it, I don't believe Chen Jian had ever heard me swear before.

Chen Jian had sparkles in his eyes when he heard Yun Anong laughing. It's been a long time. The corner of his mouth lifted up, she dared to tease me.

"No," Chen Jian bandage up her wounds. "I thought you mean 'f.u.c.k' as in... f.u.c.king?"

Without any warning, he pushed Yun Anong down on the bed. "Is this an invitation?"
