Boruto - Naruto Generations Chapter 6: Ninja Academy Part 2

("Wait a minute, Isn't Uncle Sasuke after me!!") Boruto thought as he looked at Sasuke standing apart from the group with an uninterested look across his face.

Boruto then turned to look at the field where Shino stood with about four shurikens in his hand.

"Here I go," Shino said in a low voice as he spun the shurikens in his hand.

*tk!*

*tk!* *tk!*

*tk!*

The four shurikens. .h.i.t a cleanly cut tree log that stood few meters away…

"Hmm…" Boruto observed the way the four shurikens landed.

Although they hit the log, the shurikens were all over and not concentrated on the same spot.

"Not bad," Iruka said as he marked Shino's scores in his notebook.

"Mm," Shino put his hands into his pocket and walked away from the scene.

"Next," Iruka called out for the next person to show up.

Boruto silently stared at Shino, walking away.

Shino then stopped walking and turned towards Boruto.

"You've got a problem, Naruto?" Shino asked emotionlessly.

"huh," The people around looked silently as they stared at Naruto and Shino.

To the others who were not used to communicating with Shino thought Naruto probably p.i.s.sed off Shino but, Boruto who was used to Shino felt otherwise.

"Nothin,"

"You probably have to work more on that skills of yours -ttebasa," Boruto replied calmly.

"Whoah!" A boy backed away from Shino as he couldn't believe what he had just heard.

The cla.s.s failure, Naruto advised Shino?

"I see…" Shino acknowledged Boruto's words and walked away…

Boruto also turned away from Shino only to see the cla.s.s staring at him.

"What is it? you guys?" Boruto asked.

"…" The crowd stared silently at Boruto.

"Next," Iruka called out again.

A few minutes pa.s.sed with most of the names being called out.

Iruka turned the page in his notebook to stare at the last two names.

"Next,"

"Uchiha Sasuke," Iruka called out.

Sasuke slowly walked out.

"Look, look, It's Sasuke-Kun's turn,"

"Sasuke-kun, it's me, it's me, LOOK!!!"

"Kyaaa!!!" The girls went wild as Sasuke approached the middle of the field.

Boruto however, wasn't bothered at all.

At this point, his only focus was to see how his teacher in his young days had performed.

Sasuke stopped walking and reached into his pocket to grab some shurikens.

He then collected two shurikens in both hands and started to spin them.

Boruto felt his heartbeat quicken upon seeing the Shurikens spin.

"hah,"

Sasuke threw out the Shurikens quickly following which he ended up retracting his hands back in a ninja run style after throwing them.

All four Shurikens lined up straight on the tree log.

"KYAAA!!!!" The Girls went wild once again, leaving the boys behind to gnash their teeth in helplessness.

"Good job, Sasuke," Iruka complimented as he saw Sasuke walk past him.

"Hmph," Sasuke acknowledged the words as he continued to walk without stopping.

However, Boruto was left a bit disappointed knowing that Sasuke hadn't shown his real skill at all.

"Next,"

"Uzumaki Naruto!" Iruka called out.

"…"

Iruka looked up only to see Boruto staring at Sasuke, not giving him any response at all.

"OY NARUTO!!!" Iruka called out once again.

("s.h.i.t,") Boruto quickly turned towards Iruka to show that he had heard him.

Boruto started walking towards the field.

"Oy, Shikamaru," Kiba called out.

"What is it?" Shikamaru asked in a lazy voice.

"Don't you think it was about time that Naruto had gone nuts from seeing Sasuke do something?" Kiba asked.

"Now that you mention it…" Shikamaru also turned to look at Naruto who silently walked towards the middle of the field.

Boruto finally reached the middle and stopped walking.

He then turned back to take a look at the crowd only to see that other than a few boys, the majority had already turned their backs on him.

("Is this what dad had to face…") Boruto thought as he looked at the scene behind.

Iruka looked at Boruto, observing the others.

("He's been s.p.a.cing out a lot lately…") Iruka was concerned for Naruto.

"Naruto,"

"take out your shurikens," Iruka reminded gently.

"Oh," Boruto immediately shifted his focus back to the task at hand.

("Uncle Sasuke already taught me some cool shuriken skills,") Boruto thought as he turned around to see Sasuke staring somewhere else.

Just as Boruto was about to call him, he was reminded of Sakura's scary face from earlier.

("I should probably avoid calling Sasuke as Uncle…") Boruto thought.

"Sasuke," Boruto called out.

"Hmm…?" Sasuke raised an eyebrow as he looked from the side of his eyes at Naruto.

"You might wanna see this -ttebasa," Boruto said as he turned around.

Sasuke wasn't about to turn around, but something reminded him that Naruto was a bit different today, thus out of curiosity Sasuke turned back to watch Naruto.

Boruto looked at Iruka with a smile on his face.

"huh?" Iruka stared at Boruto grinning at his face while spinning up the four Shurikens in his right hand.

"What are you doing, Naruto?" Iruka asked.

"Just wait for it," Boruto said as he started to spin the shurikens faster.

"Oy, oy, oy, oy…" Iruka took two steps only to have his retreat stopped by a tree.

"Nothing is gonna happen sensei," Boruto grinned following which he threw the Shurikens.

"AAAHHHH!!!" Iruka brought his arms towards him in an attempt to cover up the rest of his body.

He then tried to look on between the gap of his arms only to see the shurikens approaching him.

"NARUTO ARE YOU MAD?" Kiba and Shikamaru got up with shocked expressions.

"…" Sasuke also watched with silence as the shurikens closed in on Iruka.

("Am I going to die…") Iruka stared at the shurikens.

Shino brought his hands out of the jacket as he summoned his insects around him.

"let's g-" just as Shino was about to command his insects, he stopped to observe the Shurikens.

*sh*

The shurikens curved away from Iruka.

"What?" Shikamaru and Kiba's jaws dropped, while Sasuke's eyes widened.

The four shurikens landed on the log next to Sasuke's tree log with all four shurikens in a straight line and at the center of all the targets that were on the log.

"WHAT?" Iruka was more surprised to see this development than the second ago where his life was in danger.

Sasuke was completely shocked.

"What happened?" Ino and Sakura appeared by Shikamaru and Kiba's side only to see them staring at the target with wide-eyes.

"Naruto…"

"he got…" Kiba stammered to explain to Ino, which the remaining people also tried to listen in on the action that they had just missed out on.

(Bang!)

Boruto got hit on his head.

"Ouch!" Boruto turned back to see Iruka staring at him with an angry face.

"Don't try to kill your teacher, you idiot," Iruka scolded with a fist towards Boruto.

"Sorry, sensei…" Boruto scratched his head.

"Geez…" Iruka sighed as he turned to look at Naruto's tree log which was next to Sasuke's own.

("How in the world did Naruto manage to do that…") Iruka thought as he stared at it.

Boruto turned back only to see the cla.s.s staring at him with wide eyes.

"Must be luck," a person said.

"Yeah, it must've been some dumb-luck" a girl also commented.

("What the h.e.l.l is this,") Boruto felt despair as he looked at the other's faces who seemed to overwrite his skill as luck.

However, he soon calmed himself down.

("Dad was a loser back then...")

("Obviously there's no way they would acknowledge this one,")

("But, Only I know how much handwork I had put in for that…") Boruto clenched his fists in anger.

Iruka looked at his students.

"Take an hour's break,"

"Don't overeat, we're going to have sparring session next," Iruka said.

Shikamaru looked at Chōji.

"Just stick to the potato chips," Shikamaru patted Chōji.

"wu…" Chōji sighed dejectedly since he had planned to have a fine feast during the break only to hear that he had to give up.

("Why couldn't the sparring session take place first...") Chōji sighed as he looked in another direction only to see Naruto walking away.

"Should we call him?" Chōji asked.

"Hmm?"

"Naruto?" Shikamaru asked.

"mm!" Chōji nodded.

"…" Shikamaru also stared at Naruto who was walking away…

A few minutes later, Boruto sighed in defeat while staring at the academy.

("I forgot, the academy didn't even have a d.a.m.ned cafeteria,")

("And here, I was expecting to eat some sweet-buns,") Boruto thought as he turned towards the gate.

"Shikamaru, Chōji" Boruto called out upon seeing Shikamaru and Chōji.

"Naruto,"

"You wanna join us for the break?" Shikamaru asked.
