After that day, Max trained Harry almost everyday. Now that the new semester is about to begin in two days Max said to Harry, "Harry, tomorrow you practice by yourself, I have somethings to take care of. I'll be back by tomorrow evening so, try not to go to the Forbidden Forest. Going there alone is still dangerous."

Harry nodded and continued walking. Max after training him went to see Snape.

Snape who saw Max coming towards him was surprised. As far as he knew, this new Professor never did get himself involved much with others.

Max found his way towards Snape and asked, "Professor Snape, could you do me a favor?"

Snape snorted and said, "What kind a favor would our new talented professor might require of me?"

Max knew that Snape had a extreme character so he didn't bother to beat around the bush and said, "I need a couple bottles of Veritaserum. Could you make it?"

Snape looked at him sharply and said, "I can make it, but I won't."

Max smiled at him and said, "What if I say that I'll use it on one of the Marauders?"

Snape hearing this was interested, "I'm listening."

Max then continued, "Well, I was planning to use it on one of the Marauders after the sorting ceremony. You know they used to prank everyone in their school days, so it's about time somebody played them."

Snape hearing this smiled and said, "I'm willing to help you, but only this once. Could you tell me why do you need two Veritaserum?"

Max said, "I need it for back up."

Snape shook his head and said, "Well, whatever. But you didn't get this from me."

Max nodded hearing this and said, "Well, I'll be gone for a while. Could you make it before the school starts?"

Snape thought about it and said, "To make it, it's gonna take more time. I believe I have some in my stock, I'll get that."

Max was happy hearing this, after that Max went out of Hogwarts.

After two days the first year he students and all the old students made their way towards Hogwarts. Hermione and Ron were talking about the Dementors that they saw in the train.

Professor Lupin directly went to meet Dumbledore. Dumbledore who was talking with Max noticed Lupin walking towards his office, so he opened the stairway door.

Lupin who entered saw Dumbledore and Max sitting and chatting. He went there and before he could say anything, Dumbledore started talking, "Ah, Professor Lupin. So nice of you to join us. Here, let me introduce you to your a.s.sistant. This is Professor Max Argent. He'll be you're a.s.sistant in DADA cla.s.ses."

Lupin who saw Max was a bit hesitant. He wasn't bothered that Max was young, he was just afraid that Max will find out about his other ident.i.ty and treat him differently. He looked at Dumbledore and asked, "Professor, do you think that it's really a good idea to appoint an a.s.sistant to me? You know that people aren't comfortable around me."

Max smiled at him and said, "You don't need to worry about being a Werewolf. I don't mind it."

Hearing this Lupin was shocked, but Dumbledore just smiled. Lupin asked, "How did you know?"

Max just said, "It's easy to recognize a Werewolf, when you're living with one."

Dumbledore looked at Max and asked, "Are you also one, Professor Argent?"

Max simply glanced at Dumbledore and said, "No, but my girlfriend and some of me friends are."

Lupin sighed in relief hearing this. He looked at both of them and said, "Thank you."

Dumbledore simply waved his hand and said, "Well, it's getting late. I don't think we would want to miss the sorting ceremony this year."

Max interrupted him and said, "Professor, I'll be coming in a little late. So, would you mind excusing my absences for a while?"

Dumbledore didn't mind this. So he went out with Lupin.

Max just simply took another route to the dinning hall, but he didn't enter there. He stood near the door as he watched everything. He saw Harry and his friends talking excitedly about the new DADA teachers, he saw the nervous first year's. And when he was looking around, he noticed Luna looking towards him, he just motioned her to be quiet and continued looking for his target.

By the time he found his target the sorting ceremony was finished and Dumbledore started to give his speech telling students to stay away from the Forbidden Forest.

At this time Max pointed his finger below the Gryffindor table and silently chanted the Levitation charm as he made his way towards Dumbledore and said, "Sorry for interrupting this, Professor, but I think it's about time I let everyone know something."

Hearing this Snape was happy thinking that he'll expose Lupin being a Werewolf. Looking at Max's serious expression Dumbledore nodded to him, as much as he didn't like this, he trusted Max enough to comply when things get serious.

Max thanked him and flickered his finger as a rat was dragged from under the table of the Gryffindor's.

Ron who saw this started to shout, "Hey, let go of Scabbers!"

Max simply muttered [silencio] and no sound came out of Ron. Minerva who saw this angrily said, "Professor Argent, we don't use spells to punish students."

Max who brought the rat near him glanced at her and said, "It had to be done, Head mistress."

Then he looked at Dumbledore and said, "Professor, did you notice this Animagus?"

As soon as everyone heard this, they got curious and tried to sense the magic in the rat, then all the teachers were shocked as they sensed magic hidden deep within the rat.

Max then took the Veritaserum and shoved it into it's mouth and chanted a spell, as soon as he did that, that rat turned into a man, but the man looked at them with lifeless eyes as the Veritaserum had taken effect.

Some of the teachers immediately recognized him and we're shocked to see him alive. Lupin tried to make a move, but Snape pointed his wand at him and asked, "What do you think you're doing? Let him finish what he started. All your Marauders were a menace. Now it seems like one of you even faked their own death."

Max nodded at him as asked the man who was kneeling there, "What's your full name?"

The man said in a blank voice, "Peter Pettigrew."
