The Author Reincarnated?! ~I’ll Become an Amazing Villain!~ Chapter 2

「May you show me the mirror?」

「Just a moment. Reina, bring the mirror immediately. 」

The pretty maid, Reina, brought the mirror on Melissa’s instructions.

「Please. See it.」

When I took a look at the mirror that Reina gave to me, I saw a man who had his face dressed up in bandages.

Within the reflection of the mirror I saw a completely different face from my own. (TL Note: he is talking about his face in his IRL world)

I had stunning blond hair and blue eyes. I looked like I was impatient but gentle at the same time.

These were the characteristics that suit Lord Carlo-De-Medici from my novel 「Yuusha Tensei」.

After all it seems that I am Carlo here.

「Ouch」

I placed my hand on my cheek as pain ran through it. As he looks at what I’m doing Pikaru begins to speak apologetically.

「You got injured when you hit a stone after falling off the horse you were riding. I managed to st.i.tch the injury but unfortunately the doctors said that the scar will remain for the rest of your life.」

It was the kind of setting used to create the big scar on the right cheek of Carlo’s face. But did it really happen when Carlo fell off a horse?

As the author I didn’t write details for this setting. .

I wanted it to be a scar from a battle but in the end it was the result of an awkward accident  setting.

「To think a scar would remain on that handsome face. It’s a unbearable pity.」

Melissa was shedding tears while looking at me.

Other than that, Carlo was a good looking handsome man.

He does whatever he wants. He’s a bit violent, but he’s handsome and hes got skills. That’s why he’s popular with girls.

Of course there aren’t any moments for girls to play with him later on the story (as far as I planned).

However, Melissa was really a good person.

「What year is it?」

I asked Pickaru as an experiment.

「Its the 194th year of the old calendar. 」

Because of my lack of knowledge Pickaru answered the question with an apologetic face.

In the 199th year of the old calendar the hero reincarnates and meets Carlo. that means the meeting happens 5 years from now.

Five years later Carlo is 27 years old. Right now he’s 22, the same age as me.

Consequently I have transferred to this timeline.

「Why did you say 『old calendar』.」

「Because we have been using the old calendar since 200 years ago 」

Pickaru answered with a warm gaze as I enquired about the origin of the calender..

But it wasn’t a mistake.

The year that the hero defeats the demon king and builds a new country is the 「first year of the solar calendar」, before that the「old calendar」 was used instead.

This is why there are people in this world that know about the「old calendar」without knowing the word lunar.

I was slightly satisfied when I thought about how I was the only one who knew the reason behind it.

Because I’m the author that invented the reason for the calender change.

It was as I thought, I’m not in a situation where I can be carefree.

The abnormal situation of having the author reincarnate into the novel he wrote.

I was convinced that I would be given some kind of cheat power because I’m the author, but when I tried gripping the bed’s wooden rail as hard as I could it wouldn’t break or anything and when I tried to see if I could see through Reina-chan’s maid uniform by staring at it, I couldn’t see anything.

I may not return to the original world. When I thought about that I felt a sudden pain in my chest.

Certainly, people would be worried about me.

But in reality I didnt even have a close friend, let alone a girlfriend.

I didn’t even have a close relation with my colleagues in the company as well.

So the only person there is to worry about me is my mother.

Ah, but I guess it will be alright because I have a bright younger brother who is the complete opposite of me.

Huh?

Its unexpected but even if I am not there, there are no people to worry about me. (TL Note: He forgot his loyal reader’s ; w ;  who will be sad due to the series being dropped)

Its a real tragedy.

「Can you leave me alone for a while.」

I spoke out in a lonely voice. Melissa lowered her head and said.

「Understood, I’ll leave the drinks here. Please use the bell if you need something.」

Everybody left the room and I was left alone with my thoughts.

But I’m sure that there will be a lot of people who will grieve for me.

Especially the readers of 「Yuusha Tensei」.

「Becoming an author」 was hard. I was at the bottom of the popularity rankings until I made the readers happy by writing the novel 「Yuusha Tensei」 .

Don’t you think its interesting!! That every time a favorite b.u.t.ton is clicked it becomes a vital force for ones life. (TL Note: For publishing and some sorts which leads to author earning more money. )

Carlo was popular, people have listed his pros and cons as a villain. Having the decision on what to do next with him made me excited.

Indeed, I have encountered an accident on the sale date of my first book and ended up being reincarnated in the novel world.

But the story is not over yet.

It remained unfinished.

There was still a lot more material in my thoughts.

There were various things I wanted to do with Carlo.

Yet I cannot update my story anymore. (TL Note: he is saying that he cannot continue posting his chapters anymore in IRL world since he got reincarnated )

Even though it was supposed to get really interesting in the future.

When these thoughts swam through my mind I started to cry.

I can’t write my novel anymore.

I can’t end my 「Yuusha Tensei」novel.

I had already planned the future developments.

Of Carlo getting betrayed by his companions one by one.

So Carlo starts to hate human beings and ends up being the demon lord’s subordinate.

And this ends up increasing the difficulty for the hero when Carlo sets traps for him and annoys him.

But at end when he confronts the hero he still loses.

This makes Carlo change his heart for the first time and from then on he decides to follow the hero on his journey to defeat the demon lord.

The hero and the princess, Carlo’s previous fiancee, start to build a new country

Carlo, as the senior statesmen, helps them make the new country. (TL NOTE: So the author is destinated  to be friend zoned here as well ……sad life )

Thinking about the plot that I’d made reminded me that my novel wouldn’t have a chance of becoming famous anymore.

Even though it was the first work I’d ever done that got recognised..

I got praised by large number of people which made me happy.

For the novel to be ending in such an incomplete state was too harsh.

But I’m not in a situation where I can cry.

As the author of the story, I still have something to do.

With my own effort I will bring the story and world that I created to a close.

To be able to end my novel, isn’t that the reason why I’m here?

I made this world.

I’m the only one who knows what will happen in this world from now on.

I am the author, producer, director and the villain Carlo-De-Medici at the same time.

Lord Carlo-De-Medici’s role is to make the story more interesting.

There is still 5 years before the hero reincarnates and meets Carlo.

In the meantime, I will prepare the best stage to compete in.

Therefore first I should become an attractive villain.

It is with this resolution that I started to live in this world.

From this moment I will become the villain, Lord Carlo-De-Medici.

Not ordinary villain, but an excellent villain!
