My Way To You 249 Welcome Back

"Vasu go help her. I'll try to kill this thing." A husky voice called out. Ariana's eyes were starting to close and a hand started to slap her face. "Don't fall asleep now. Just give Vasu a second he's coming." The male voice called out. 'Ariana hold on!' Vasu called out as he changed back into his chibi deer self and landed gently on Ariana's abdomen. Instantly the burning sensation dulled and a gentle warmth enveloped her body. Her wounds started to heal and Ariana let out a sigh of relief. She started to squirm wanting to sit up but someone was holding her down. She looked up and saw Lobo.

"I should have never said those things to you! I'm sorry, I know what you went through and I still said it! I'm so sorry!" Lobo said as his face twisted with concern and panic. Ariana averted her gaze, it wasn't the time or place for an apology. She searched for the orange blurs she had seen before and spotted them almost instantly. The mist creature laughed as it clashed with the light. Ariana's eyes widened. "Cayden get away from him!" Ariana called out.

"Cayden, Cayden, why call out for Cayden? Is this flesh bag important to you? How would you act if he died before your eyes? How much power would surge through your veins just so you could help him? I want a feast! Show me how much you care!" The creature howled with delight as it's claws extended upwards and his speed increased. 

"No! Don't hurt him!" Ariana yelled as she struggled to break free from Lobo's hold. "Cayden, you can't kill it. It has a host, if you kill that creature who knows who will die!" Ariana shouted. "A host? A student, is the host a student?!" Lobo asked as he quickly released Ariana and she sat up. "I don't know but it's host may have been unwilling in whatever deal they made." Ariana said as she grabbed Vasu and scrambled to stand up.

"We need to stop Cayden!" Ariana shouted as she finally got up. She started to run towards Cayden and the mist creature. "Don't hurt him!" Ariana shouted as she jumped towards Cayden. She held Vasu in one arm and wrapped her free arm around Cayden's body. The mist creature laughed at its good fortune. Cayden was subdued and the creature had a chance to strike. He raised his claw like hand into the air as his red eyes glowed with excitement.

Cayden's eyes grew wide as he tried to pull off Ariana. The claw like hand descend and was about to strike Ariana's back. "No!" Cayden yelled as he turned his body round, protecting Ariana from the attack. Suddenly the creatures claw screeched to a stop. Ariana peeked over Cayden's shoulder and spotted a barrier. It had successfully blocked the mist creature's attack. 'Honestly we can't leave you alone for a minute!' Aroha shouted as the rest of the Lumas charged towards the mist creature.

While Lobo had changed into his wolf form and jumped into the air. Ariana had created the perfect distraction and he used the confusion to land on top on the mist creature, pinning it to the ground. His jaw held the mist creature's neck in place, threatening to clamp shut if the mist creature moved. "You can't stop me." The creature laughed and instantly dissolved it's body into the air. "I finally found food that is very nutritious.... Food stay safe until I come for you then I will reunite with my angel." The mist creature's voice echoed among the trees.

Lobo shook his whole body as if it was soaked by the mist. The Lumas reverted back into their chibi forms and Cayden searched the area with his eyes. "You're here! Welcome back!" Ariana cried as she buried her face into Cayden's neck. Seeing that the mist creature was finally gone Cayden allowed himself to enjoy the moment.

"I'm back." Cayden sighed as he gently hugged Ariana. "Now, what the h.e.l.l do you think you were doing?! Do you have an idea how reckless you are?! Why didn't you change into the jewel eyed priestess? You've damaged that thing before why did you hesitate?! My G*d! Can't you stay safe for at least one night? One night?! But no! The moment you think you have everything planned out, sh*t hits the fan! You can not go out and find danger like some sort of-ugh-you! You! Y-o-u!!!!" Cayden yelled as he pried Ariana off his body. He took one look at her face and forgot everything he wanted to say, he couldn't help himself, she looked so happy that he was instantly defeated.

"I missed you." Ariana whispered as she smiled brightly. "Don't act so d.a.m.n cute!" Cayden growled and instantly sealed her lips with his own. Ariana's heart soared, every bad memory of that night instantly disappeared. Cayden slightly pulled away, his breathing started to become shallow and he looked into Ariana's eyes. "Not enough." Ariana mumbled as she pulled Cayden towards her mouth again and deepened their kiss.

A small moan escaped from Ariana and Cayden couldn't resist, it was so sweet and addicting that he lost his resolve and grabbed the back of her head. He slipped his tongue into her mouth and started to taste her feverishly. A loud cough broke their bubble and Ariana pulled away. "Shut up Lobo just turn around." Cayden growled and pulled Ariana into an embrace. Her ear laid against his chest and she could hear the beating of Cayden's heart, it was fast and strong and it comforted her so much she couldn't help but snuggle against him.

"The two of you are unbelievable." Lobo said with a deadpan look. "You suck as her guard. I had to come out earlier then planned." Cayden said as he placed a small kiss on the top of Ariana's head. "Cayden what are you talking about?" Ariana asked as she tried to look up at his face but Cayden kept her firmly in place. "We will talk tomorrow. Right now I'm taking you back to the dorms." Cayden said as he scooped Ariana up in a princess carry. Ariana blushed as Cayden carried her, Lobo walked beside Cayden while the Lumas silently returned to Ariana's ears. Except for Vasu, he refused to budge from Ariana's arms. He glared at Cayden as they walked. "Cayden are we officially together now?" Ariana asked bashfully as she laid her head on Cayden's shoulder.
