"Are you sure that's all you need for the operation?"
"Positive."
Bin spent another minute fixing his clothes and pulling a black cloth on his face, just like the one the invisible woman wore. It hid his mouth and nose and wasn't as bothersome as a real mask.
Seeing confidence, Melissa nodded and handed him a small beige earpiece.
"Put this and don't remove it. I'll be instructing you from here and whatever I say, you must do, understood?"
"Sure."
Melissa was confused by his obedience, which was opposite of his usual temperament but she ended up brushing it off as Bin wanting to do good in order to be paid handsomely.
"Your 'a.s.sociates' will arrive in a few minutes. I repeat, don't trust them too much as they work for my brother."
Just like she said, nearly three minutes later, three tall men entered the villa, all armed to the teeth and hiding their faces with an oversized hood.
"Miss, is he the one?"
The middle one spoke to Melissa, his tone containing a bit of mockery as he noticed that Bin looked young and inexperienced.
"Yes. There is not much time left so hurry up!"
The blond girl waved her hands dismissively before turning around and leaving.
"Lad, stay behind us, and don't interfere."
Once the boss was out of the scene, the three men dropped their sort of respectful att.i.tude and spoke coldly to Bin, who just shrugged his shoulders.
Soon, the four boarded a black van and left the vicinities. Bin sat on the back, quietly watching the three men, which were bigger than him in terms of size and although they didn't emit any Mana, they seemed like seasoned fighters, perhaps even veteran soldiers.
In comparison, he was a young man a bit good at handling guns, that's all. This made him wonder why Melissa put so much trust in him despite their brief and not-so-friendly interactions. Perhaps she needed an outsider as she's pressured by her brother, who Bin a.s.sumed doesn't have a good relationship with his double-faced snake sister.
'Yup, I can totally imagine that.'
Anyway, he just needed to obtain the aforementioned doc.u.ments, that's all. If things go awry, he'll retreat to safety and let these big men deal with the rest.
In about forty to fifty minutes, the black vehicle stopped at a port full of large and small container, mainly colored red, blue, or white. The van stopped at a hidden spot and all four stepped off and readied themselves. The leader of Bin's companions faced him and sternly said
"Do not interfere with us and just stay at the back! If you cause any mishap then you'll receive all the blame."
One of the other two clicked his tongue and barked, "Tsk! To begin with, we didn't want any 'helpers', much less kids!"
Bin accepted the insults or whatever they may be called, unwilling to be bothered by such remarks as he didn't want to complicate things. Despite his outward nonchalance, he took this world very seriously as he was promised that he'll be paid handsomely if he succeeds.
"B-bin, c…. can you hear me?"
At first, an inaudible voice cout be heard from the earpiece but it quickly cleared up and Melissa could be heard properly.
"Yes."
Bin replied with a low voice as he checked his handguns before following the three men, staying three meters behind them. They made their way toward the port, specifically toward one of the large ship half-loaded with containers. The Servant spotted four black cars parked right next to the boat, men were guarding the place. They all wore black suits and had guns on their waists, indicating that they belonged to some gang or organization.
"Follow them and make sure to get your hands on the doc.u.ments first."
Melissa talked to Bin as he was sneaking up with the other three big men. A few minutes pa.s.sed and the four managed to close down on the four cars while hiding behind the nearest containers.
Bin's a.s.sociates whispered something to each other before suddenly showing themselves and darting toward the enemies. Their performance was flawless, to say the least, as they finished off the four guards in just under fifteen seconds.
The targets couldn't sound the alarm and were killed without putting any resistance. Two were stabbed in the chest and the other tip hit with a bullet in their forehead.
Bin quietly followed them and after making sure all the enemies are dead, he followed them to the edge of the large ship and took the staircase leading to it.
His a.s.sociates already went ahead but he kept a distance and after getting on board the ship, took the opposite direction. It wasn't as safe without them but neither of them knew where the doc.u.ments are, except that they are definitely on the ship so, in the end, they have to search every nook and cranny.
Bin headed toward the open deck of the ship, where the containers were, a bit curious about what's inside and expecting to find the doc.u.ments in a hidden room at the front rather at a cliché place like the captain's office, for example.
"Where you right now?"
"Abord the ship, heading toward the open deck, where the containers are."
"Ah? Why are you going there? Go bain and enter the cabines, the doc.u.ments must be there."
"Wait a second, maybe they are in one of the containers."
"No, they're not! Don't mind with the containers and go back! Right now!"
Melissa raised her tone but Bin's didn't reply with the expected obedience. He trusted his gut and although he promised to follow her orders, his curiosity got the better of him, especially after he got closer to one of the containers and started hearing weird sounds.
Two minutes after he got aboard the container ship, Bin arrived in front of the relatively larger container, a red one with white English words on its sides, saying 'Care Society'.
Unfortunately, the container was tightly locked using metal chains and trying to open them will alert the enemies. Furthermore, he heard faint footsteps coming from the back. Bin raised his handgun, fixed the silencer, and hid at the side then patiently waited.
Ten or so seconds later, a tall black-skinned man holding a large rifle appeared. He was nonchalantly chewing some gum while looking at the port. Bin held his breath and raised his gun then aimed at the back of the man's knee.
He fired two times successively then dashed toward the large black man and wrapped his arm around his neck and then tightening his grip. With both his knees hurt, suffocating and his mouth blocked by Bin's other hand, the man fell unconscious a bit later.
With a bit of difficulty, Bin dragged the man's body to a darker corner before going around the deck and checking if there were more.
Indeed, there was one additional guard but he was sitting next to the edge of the ship, large headphones on his ears… the loud music could be heard from ten meters away.
Bin lightly banged on the container a few times to see if he could hear it but the man didn't even flinch. After making sure it was relatively safe, Bin went back to the first container and turned around the chain in a very slow and careful manner.
A creaking sound could be heard as the container's doors, which seemed to be broken, started opening on their own the moment the chains were undone. Bin took a step backward then peeked at the dark interior of the red container only to be shocked.
What met his gaze were at least a dozen pairs of eyes, all belonging to small children, barely ten or twelve years old. They were wearing ragged and dirty clothes, were as skinny as skeletons, and looked malnourished, to say the least.
"Bin, what are you doing? Have you found them yet?"
Melissa's voice sobered him up as he pressed the earpiece against his ear and mumbled
"I found something else."
His subtle action made the children back away in fear. Their eyes contained nothing but dread as they even let out a squeak.
"There are children here. Are they trafficking humans?"
Hearing this, Melissa, who was sitting on the sofa with Secretary Park next to her, pressed her hands against her temples as she started having a headache from Bin's actions.
"I told you to locate the doc.u.ments! Nevermind the children."
"..."
Bin didn't reply, causing Melissa to bite her lower teeth and insistently repeat
"You promised to follow my orders! I trust that I hired a competent Servant so do your job properly, okay?"
