Chapter 694: [694] Kizmal(6).

The duel began, and unlike what Alan had expected, Olivia had rushed in first, Edward stayed back, whilst Sabrina seemed completely uninterested in the duel.

Alan preferred that, he liked it if she stayed away, Abalak had p.i.s.sed him off, even more than he already was.

He would have preferred if Edward also joined in, so he could take care of the two of them quickly and easily, but he couldn't hope for it.

"I don't think I should have said that..."

Abalak muttered, as he lunged at Alan, he attacked his feet, trying to make Alan lose his balance. It was a good idea, but the choice of opponent could be better.

Vastly better.

Alan withstood the tackle, and Abalak jumped back the moment he realized Alan wouldn't budge, Alan kicked him in the stomach, but the spirit jumped back, reducing the blow.

"Well, lizards are known to have bad hearing..."

"Oh, I'm gonna f.u.c.king kill you."

Alan went on the offensive, punching Abalak in the face with all his strength, the spirit blocked it with both his hands, though they were reduced to a sorry state. If it had bones, they would have shattered.

But because he was a spirit, he regenerated quite easily, using Olivia's mana. A hawk descended from the sky, like a missile encased in a small tornado of wind, Abalak tried to get his attention, but failed.

Alan jumped up, catching the hawk in his mouth. No matter how much force it packed, with all of its skills and speed, it wasn't much to him. He almost felt bad for it.

A beam of blue light escaped from his mouth, evaporating the hawk.

'That should take care of it...'

He was unaware if spirits truly died or not, but if it could regenerate, it should take some time, and if needed, he would destroy it as many times as it would take for Olivia to realize how weak she was, and how finite her mana reserves were.

He engaged Abalak, who had a.s.sumed a strange stance, Abalak punched him in the face, but Alan caught the fist, Alan punched back, however, his fist was also caught.

He had wanted this, he knew the spirit would just regenerate if he destroyed some of it. He had wanted to make this a struggle for strength, and make sure Abalak couldn't escape.

If it was strength, he was confident in his own. Even without using mana or aura, his strength far surpa.s.sed whatever Abalak could come up with Olivia's limited reserves of mana.

"You know... Most of my abilities require a weapon..."

Abalak muttered, clearly losing the battle of strength, his knees of his touched the ground as Alan opened his mouth, a blue light began to form.

He was planning on doing the same thing to Abalak as he did with the hawk, destroying the entire body.

"Oh no..."

[Dragon breath has been used.]

His dragon breath evaporated Abalak as well, but it was to Alan's dismay that he did not know what to say, he was so annoyed by the word 'Lizard', that he wanted to say something

derogatory to the spirit, before annihilating it.

Unfortunately, he did not know what he should say, what would he even say? He couldn't think of anything derogatory, and it put him in an even worse mood.

The hawk and Knight were gone, and now only the summoner and her snake were left. Alan used [Instantaneous teleportation] to appear behind her.

But to his surprise, she actually reacted fast enough, she jumped away just in time, and Edward stepped in.

Olivia knew Alan's trick, his [Instantaneous Teleportation] had a flaw, Alexander had told her a while back.

'Always pay attention to his eyes, his eyes indicate the direction where he will appear next if he teleports, you can't really predict the location, but the direction is good enough.'

It was a conversation she had a while back, but she remembered it as clear as day. If Alan was looking right at you, he would appear in front of you, or behind you.

It was a gamble, and she simply guessed where he would appear, but it had worked.

Her snake erupted from the blade and tried to bite Alan, Olivia screamed.

"No!"

It seemed she could not control her lowest ranking spirit very well, or was it an issue that arose from him destroying her other spirits? She should be low on mana...

Or it could have simply been an honest spirit trying to protect its master from the threat that was him, Alan simply swatted the snake away, and it reduced to ash.

However, Edward stepped in before he could get closer to Olivia, blocking his field of vision with his shields. He had tackled Alan, but was careful not to get caught with his iron grip.

Alan planted his right foot firmly into the ground, and punched Edward. Edward blocked it with his shield, the one capable of absorption.

Alan knew about it, and as sure as he was that the artifact had a limit to how much it could absorb, he was not keen on wasting time trying to destroy it. Alan tried to grab Edward, but his efforts were futile.

Edward knew he would be in deep trouble if he let that happen, and he was surprisingly agile, and slippery despite his shields. Alan failed to grab him, and he could see Abalak forming once more from the corner of his eye.

However, that gave Edward an opening, a small one. He raised one of his shields, the one capable of releasing the absorbed energy, and slammed it right in Alan's face.

A thud was heard, as Alan spat out a tooth, along with some blood. His own punches were really powerful. He looked down at Edward with a cold gaze.

Edward looked up in fear, and was clearly shaking.

"I'm sorry, I should not have done that..."

Alan grabbed him by the throat with shocking speed and slammed him into the floor, although he was angry, he was still careful enough to not hurt Edward too much.

He took special care in making sure his head didn't collide with solid bone, he knew by experience how tough it was.

He let go, and used the very same hand to catch a lance, one Abalak had thrown at him. The lance was ethereal, not material. It wasn't a solid object, but felt like one, although he had caught the lance, he could not really grip onto it with as much force as he would like.

It sifted through his fingers, like it was iron sand, and soon encased Alan's arm. The weight of the ethereal lance increased, but he could withstand it.

"That should be about a few tonnes..."

Abalak muttered, his voice full of shock, as Olivia turned deathly pale, [Mana Sense] told him that she was running out of mana. Alan moved forward, ignoring the weight of the lance.

He would have teleported, but the thing encasing his arm was identified as a foreign object, and thus, he could not cast [Instantaneous Teleportation]. He did not try to remove it with his other hand as well, in case it would cover it as well.

"A few tonnes?"

His voice was cold, and his steps were loud. He approached Olivia slowly, and Abalak prepared

himself.

"I'm sure you know what we were travelling on above, right? A supreme giant, that was the skeleton of a supreme giant, as big as entire continents! You want to know what is inside

there?"

He took a deep breath, and began his a.s.sault on Abalak, the spirit of Knightly Values was twice his size, yet still, he was helpless. Olivia was consuming mana potions every second to

maintain it, but it was useless.

"It's a fragment of Kizmal, the very giant we are inside. A fragment, the size of mountains. Unlike me, it won't be going easy on you. As soon you step inside, you want to know what you

will meet?"

Everyone paid close attention to his words, as Alan destroyed Abalak once more, this time, he knew Olivia had no more mana. No spirit would obstruct his path now.

None.

"A beam, several times powerful than my mightiest breath. So great, that even I can't help

but be reduced to ash if I try to take it on. It's happened, ask Kazikato. Seven times, it'll unleash that eviscerating beam, it's as big as an island!"

He was near Olivia now, and Edward had woken up, He had jumped at Alan, trying to offer Olivia some respite, but he failed. Alan let Olivia's rapier and Edwards shield hit him, yet he

was unfazed.

"You can't even make a dent on me, and you want to take on a giant the size of mountains?

No."

He whacked both of them on the head, knocking them unconscious. Alan had gotten rid of two of his opponents, now only one was left.

The oppressive aura, his cold gaze, and his heavy steps disappeared as he stared at Sabrina,

and asked.

"Will you please give up?"

Instead of answering, the girl simply smiled, closing her eyes. Alan let out a sigh.

"Al, please jump into the sea below."

She said, Alan looked at her with a confused expression, and was shocked to find himself...
