Saksham was lying on his bed, thinking about various things. Recently, many things popped up one after another. First was the investigation team from IOEA. They found Rhytham and interrogated him about the disappearance of the 100 people. Such a big disappearance was bound to raise storm no matter what and Saksham expected that from the very beginning. He also knew that normal police wouldn't be able to find out any clues because there was no blood on the sight of disappearance, neither were there any signs of fights or resistance. Just the clothes worn by the people who disappeared were on the sight. The forensic experts said that it was like 100 people came there and then just 'disappeared'.
So, Saksham had been expecting the people from IOEA from the very beginning. But he was no afraid of them suddenly arresting him because the people he killed were all criminals with at least one criminal record on their names. And Saksham was pretty sure that big gangs in India had power-users. If power-users can work for the mafia and IOEA won't care about them, then a gang-war between gangs shouldn't be something they would care about. If anything, IOEA would want to know who did it and give them a warning. So, Saksham had nothing to fear about. Even if something went wrong, Saksham had his 14 EP left. Although it was not enough to deal with IOEA, it was enough to brainwash the people from IOEA or change some facts with his power.
And indeed, the people from IOEA reached out to Rhytham and asked him about the ins and outs of the situation. Rhytham didn't utter a single word about Saksham from the very beginning but when they a.s.sured him that they won't do anything, only then did he called Saksham with some hesitation and told him about the situation. Saksham heard this and took off from his home with an excuse. He wore his a.s.sa.s.sin's suit and reached Rhytham's home in about 5 minutes. When Saksham entered through the balcony, he saw 2 people sitting on the sofa in front of Rhytham and 3 people standing behind them. 3 of them wore a strange combat uniform with various equipment. One wore a pair of gauntlets, one had a sword hung by his side, and the last one had nun-chucks. Saksham could feel a distinct breath from them which was different from ordinary people. If he was not wrong, these 3 people were physical power users.
The other 2 people were ordinary people. Saksham saw this and shook his head. With just the equipment and weapon he had, he could easily kill the 3. But he was not ready to make enemies with IOEA. He went towards them and snapped lightly. As soon as they heard an unknown sound, everyone's eyes turned towards Saksham. They saw a person standing in front of them. They didn't even hear or see him coming in. As soon as this thought crossed the heads of the 3 people in combat uniform, cold sweat flowed down their heads. Suddenly they drew all their weapons and stared at Saksham with vigilant eyes.
The person standing in front of them was wearing something weird. The thing he wore had a black, collared tunic underneath a silver-white vest, loose dark brown pants, and knee-high leather boots. His look became complete with a black robe and a brown-red shoulder cape secured by a leather clasp. There were also some black lines running on his chest in some mysterious way, like veins. From time to time, one would see the light flash on those lines, as if beating of a heart. The more they looked at the mysterious glowing lines, the dizzier they felt. The hood he wore made it impossible for them to see the complete face of the person. Only the portion underneath his nose bridge could be seen.
Seeing the dazed expression of the people, Saksham shook his head at their professionalism. If he had any bad intentions, everyone would have been dead. He doubted whether the 3 people in combat uniform were from IOEA or did they just catch them to act as a bodyguard. Well, you can't blame the 3 people about this. They were peak [Physical Trainee]. They were 10 much stronger than the average person. And as they were from the physical power user system, their senses were much stronger than other power users. But they still didn't hear or see him entering the house. This fact made them dazed for a moment. But after the daze came the shame. The one who had his gantlets on suddenly rushed out.
He thought that he was from IOEA and the person standing in front of him was just a gangster, even if he was an awakened. So, if he taught him a lesson, he won't be able to anything back because unless he wants to become enemies with IOEA, he would just swallow it in. With these thoughts, he punched towards Saksham. But he was deeply misunderstanding many things here. Saksham was never afraid of IOEA because of his powers. He just didn't want to become enemies right now. But that didn't mean he would let them have their own way.
Saksham looked at the rushing man and said in his uniquely hoa.r.s.e voice, "Is this how IOEA treats power-users?"
As soon as his words fell, the person rushing at him fell down on the ground face first. After that, there was no movement from him. Not just him, all 5 people had a horrified expression on their faces. They felt as if the whole world was trying to crush their body and soul. They couldn't breathe and neither were they able to think straight. They felt as if strength was fleeing their body and if they didn't do anything about it, their deaths were certain. At this time, one of the 2 ordinary people suddenly bit his tongue and forced himself to open his mouth with his sheer willpower, "W-We are really s-sorry about this. P-please, forgive t-these p-people. They are new."
As Saksham heard this, he looked at them for a moment before taking back his [Soul Suppression]. He looked at the 5 taking in breathe with their mouths wide open and their whole bodies soaked with sweat. He walked ahead and sat in front of then, putting his right leg on top of his left and leaning back into the sofa. His cape flowed down his left side, making him look like a royal person for some reason. Just the normal sitting posture gave the 5 people an unimaginable pressure in their hearts. Saksham looked at the 2 people in the front and said, "Shall we talk now?"
