A Hero's Multiverse 15 Chapter 14: World Breaker

Seeing Tonja come flying at full speed, Ethen already gets a pretty bad feeling. That feeling only gets worst, as he sees parts of her armor fall of exposing her soft skin get exposed to the temperatures of the outer s.p.a.ce. Before Tonja is able to even reach the Multiverse Gate, a swarm of Wyern like Symbiotes suddenly appeared behind her.

Instantly Ethen realizes the full extent of the danger for Tonja, as a ma.s.sive dragon rises from the planet's surface and joins the wyverns in their chases. As the wyverns are nearly reaching Tonja, Ethen starts shooting short heat vision blasts at them. Seeing the first monster instantly succ.u.mb to the pain of being roasted alive, his heat vision is unexpectantly effective.

Shooting down one wyvern after another, by the time the Iron Maiden armor comes through the Gate and enters the temple, Ethen as decimated the entire swarm, only the dragon remaining. With Tonja safely though, Deadpool instinctively closes the gate. The moment the gate is closed, Ethen is already opening up the armor like a tin can.

Using his index finger like a hock, he swiftly finds out, that Tonja is infected by a very aggressive symbiote.

Looking to the altar questioning, Deadpool tells him. ''Symbiotes have only two weaknesses Fire and sound. Since we don't have a steeple and a church bell neat by fire it has to be.''

Reluctant Ethen says. ''If I do this, she will lose her arm, leg and an eye!''

''Still better than the alternative. Everything beats having once brain being taken over by a symbiote!''

With that said, Ethen does his best to specifically hit the symbiote cells that have already taken over Tonjas. Despite his perfect aim, he still has to cut off a rage portions of Tonjas right arm and left le, while having to totally remove her left eye. Cauterising all cut the moment they are made, Tonja suffers a minimal amount of blood, while Ethen internally gives himself and Knull(mostly Knull) for her current situation. If not for Knull having infected her with this ultraggressive symbiote, she would still have both her arms and legs as well as two beautiful brown eyes.

While Ethen is taking care of Tonja, Knull still residing in the center of Klyntar goes mad. Not only was that woman able to leave his claws, but she also had the audacity to take his precious companion, All-Black. Being mad and without a weapon, the G.o.d of the Symbiotes takes a sword from his trophies as a replacement, that sword being the Asgardian Oversword or Odinsword. This weapon despite its name was never even unsheathed by Odin himself, out of fear doing so would inadvertently trigger Ragnarok. Contrary to Odin, Knull doesn't care about the end of the world, as he only wants to fight his enemy.

Drawing the sword from its sheath, the self-proclaimed G.o.d is satisfied seeing a bluish aura emanating from the blade. As Knull is still staring down at his replacement blade, he suddenly loses contact with the dragon symbiote he sends after the woman the moment he realized that he would not be able to take over her mind.

Repeating the last moments of his dragon in his mind, he is shocked by what he discovers, -Burning Red Eyes-. Before Knull can contemplate over the new information, he is informed by his symbiotes, that their planet is under attack, as the red glowing eyes are slicing through the planet.

While Knull is trying to cope with this sudden attack on Klyntar, Ethen's rage knows no bounds, as he flies high above the planet's surface and slices the plant in two with his heat vision. Still being supercharged destroying the planet is easily dome. Despite his seemingly obvious goal, the destruction of Klyntar is not his end game. The destruction of the planet is more a means to an end them its own purpose, that end being to force Knull to face him.

As he is slicing through the planet like a hot knife through b.u.t.ter, Ethen is disappointed as his only opponent is the dragon symbiote that chased after Tonja. Remembering the woman's now-crippled body, his rage is only more fueled, because, in the end, even he was unable to eliminate all the cells infected by the symbiote.

Shooting a mad beam of heat vision Ethen doesn't even needs to move, as the symbiote is already burned to ash even before it reaches him. With the dragon gone, the mad superhero continues to cut the planet in half. Before Ethen can appreciate his handy work he suddenly sees a gigantic figure rise out of the planet's core.

''There you are!...'' Shouts Ethen mockingly at the Symbiote G.o.d. ''... Finally ready to face me?''

''You petty human do you really think that the destruction of Klyntar would help your little band of misfits?...'' States Knull before continuing. ''... If you hand give All-Black back to me I might consider taking over your corpse.''

''Shut up you cheap Dracula imitation!...'' Says Ethen, cracking his fingers in antic.i.p.ation. ''... Less talking more fighting!''

Drawing the Odinsword, Knull says. ''As you wish!''

The next second the two of them are engaging in close combat. Learning the hard way that being bigger isn't necessarily better, Knull shranks down to Ethen's size after being nearly crippled three times. Similar to Knull Ethen also takes lessons the hard way, like that the sword in Knull's hand is able to penetrate through his skin and draw blood.

After only a few dozen exchanges neither of the two underestimates the other as they separate for a second from each other. While Ethen decades to avoid the blade, Knull reminds himself of Ethen's heat vision that annihilated both his swarm of wyverns and his dragon.

Exchanging dozens of high-speed exchanges, Knull mostly trying to suppress Ethen with savage blows and Ethen mostly avoiding incoming attacks and striking when an opening is given. This way both sides have to admit, that they are currently evenly matched.

Knowing that he is only temporarily able to be a match to Knull since he only has a one-hour time limit to stay supercharged, Ethen decides on an even more radical approach. Using his flight ability at its max speed, the speed of light the half Kryptonian flies in between the two halves of Klyntar. Seeing his opponents apparent attempt at escaping, Knull smiles savagely and instantly follows after him.

''Bingo!'' Shouts Ethen, the moment the self-proclaimed G.o.d is in position. Following his announcement Ethen smashes the two pieces of Klyntar against each other, Knull in-between the two. To his own surprise, this move is more successful than expected, since at this moment the Symbiotes decided to rebel against their creator.

Seeing their creator at his weakest, even the destroyed planet supports Ethen, as dozens of symbiotes sacrifice themselves just to keep Knull in place.

Suddenly an ear-piercing shout comes from Knull, as he savagely kills off his own rebelling creation. ''No! You traitorous bunch of lowlives can't stop me!''

Seeing the Symbiotes self-sacrificial nature, Ethen decides to not let their deaths be in vain. Having finally a guaranteed hit on the hand, Ethen uses his full powered heat vision to strike his enemy.

''I am sorry!'' He proclaims as not only Knull but also dozens of symbiotes are hit by his heat vision. Ethen's only consultation to those dying under his attack is that they are instantly atomized and have a painless death. Ending his heat vision, he finds a huge piece of some black orb where Knull head been.

Remembering his original reason for facing Knull, the half-G.o.d is delighted to find the black orb remaining behind. Wanting to pick up the orb to later use it for his armor, the orb suddenly starts to move. Before Ethen knows what is going on, the symbiotic metal has already entered his body through a wound in his chest.

Feeling his mind suddenly being invaded, he hears Knull's animalistic voice in his mind. ''Since you are so strong... I will make your body my new host... What glorious days lay before us...''

(???) ''Hostile lifeform detected... Initializing Self-Defense Protocol...''

''What?!?! NOOOOO!'' Screams Knull in Ethen's head, as his voice steadily gets muted. Before Ethen is able to make sense out of the situation, he suddenly starts puking as his intestines revolt.

Before long he pukes out a relatively small lump of the black orb. Feeling his supercharged state, Ethen once again hears his saviors robotic voice.

(???) ''Use Hosts remaining energy to reset Universe?''

''Yes, why not! I am losing this energy inside of me anyway!''

(???) ''Confirmed... Initializing reset process...''
