A Hero's Multiverse 14 Chapter 13: Sacrefices

''Holy s.h.i.t this is nuts!'' Is Tonjas only comment after having witnessed an entire universe getting destroyed and the only visible indication that Ethen is Supercharged is a faint golden glow all over his body.

Feeling better than ever Ethen tells the skull. ''So now I would suggest you start searching for this universe containing our 'target'...'' That said he looks at the two of them saying. ''... As a safety precaution, I suggest the two of you remain in the temple and keep the door open. Should I loose against this guy, I will not fight with him to my death and simply escape back here.''

Nodding in agreement Tonja says adds. ''Since your supercharge is currently stable, why don't I scout the place beforehand. It would be a wast if you reduce your time in supercharge by searching for the guy.''

''No, no, out of the question...'' Ethen vehemently declares before explaining. ''... Knull is too powerful! I will not risk your life!''

Getting up close and angry into his Ethen's face Tonja declares. ''And I will not have you risk yours by reducing you're a one-hour time limit of Supercharge for a simple search, that I can do!''

Luckily for Ethen, the argument is suddenly cut short by Deadpool laughing madly. ''Muhaha... bow before your new Master gummy gate!... This Pool has mastered you!''

Hearing this ludicrous declaration, the Multiverse gate of the Marcel Universe opens up to a world of darkness.

Seeing this abyss, Tonja says, while activating her armorer's boosters. ''On it!... I will mark Knull and you can come in and might him to oblivion.''

Saying that she disappears into the dark abysmal universe that is taken over by Knull.

Stepping through the Multiverse Gate, Tonja is greeted by darkness all around here, the only light source being the still open gate behind her.

''Jarvis, change to thermal view and infrared. If necessary use the armor as a conductor and use sonar.''

(Jarvis) ''Following instruction... loading and recalibrating visor...''

After a few seconds, the darkness is gone and Tonja is able to make out a gigantic heat signature.

''What is this? Is that a living planet?...'' She asks herself before telling her AI. ''... Jarvis scan the planet for living creatures.''

(Jarvis) ''Scanning... Unable to determine the exact number, as there are too many.''

''b.u.mmer...'' Tonja says, thinking about what to do while she flyes ever closer to the planet and away from the gate. ''... Okay, new plan... Ahm... Jarvis can for anything abnormal with a high energy output... I will not believe that this Knull is able to shield his sky-high energy signature.''

(Jarvis) ''Scanning... three possible locations have been located...''

A 3D model with missing elements here and there of the planet appears before Tonjas eyes. The three marked locations are volcano-like structures. ''Okay. Jarvis marks the closest of the three locations. Let's get this over with!''

(Jarvis) ''Affirmative. Closes location marked.''

While Tonja flyes are closer to the first location, she is slowly able to make out some streaks of light on one side of the structure. Taking a closer look, she is able to make out a s.p.a.ceship and some people fighting some Symbiote infected creatures.

As she gets closer, the people are already largely decimated, so that only one humanoid looking man wearing a red leather coat and face mask, dual wielding two strange looking handguns remains. Seeing the man be steadily overwhelmed by more and more symbiotes, Tonja can only stop her advance and be helpless in front of the number of enemies.

Just when she is about to retreat, she sees a strange looking symbiote. Checking out her energy reading, she sees, that one symbiosis lower output is far above the others. Struggling against the Symbiotes holding him in place the man in red remains unable to do anything. Getting closer, Tonja hides behind a slippery, strangely black tree-like thing.

''You can't do this! I am Starlord, Son of Ego the living planet! Even if I die, others will come and kick your a.s.s...'' Shouts the man in red, apparently named Starlord, before a symbiote covers his mouth.

''Shut up unworthy creature. I am only letting you live because I expect you to leade me to Ego the coward planet... Now tell me where is that old pile of rocks hiding?'' Says the Symbiote stronger than all others.

Having his mouth once more uncovered, the man named Starlord shouts. ''f.u.c.k you Dady slime, I will tell you nothing!''

Without saying anything, Symbiote transforms into a tall white skinned and white-haired man, wearing a jet black armor with a red dragon symbol in the center of the chestpiece. Smirking, while flashing his needle-like teeth, the Symbiote says. ''You don't have to tell me...'' Out of his shadow, he draws a black and red longsword. ''... I will know once you joined my children!''

With that said the man rams his sword right into the man's chest. ''Since you are Egos son, know that you were killed by me, Knull the dark king. From now on I am your one and only G.o.d!''

That said, Knull keeps his sword embedded inside the now dying Starlords chest, while he and the other symbiotes retreat, by simply becoming one with their surroundings.

Getting no indications for symbiotes present and seeing the man struggle to remove the sword from his chest, Tonja decides to help him. Leaving her to save hiding spot to help a dying Starlord, she willingly exposes herself to danger. Getting closer to the desperately struggling man, she finds his hand's blood-soaked, as he is trying to get a good grip on the edge of the blade.

Seeing the robot come closer, Peter Quill is elated to see another being not Symbiote in this place. Already feeling his mind slowly get infected by the Blade, he pleads with a fading voice. ''Please help!''

Seeing the man drift into a comatose state, Tonja simply acts without thinking. Touching the blades heft with her right hand, she is shocked to learn that the brave is coated in some kind of corrosive substance. Before she is able to retract her hand, she is already held firmly in place by a crazed Peter Quill, that only to hold her in place has embedded the blade only deeper inside his chest. Seeing a black substance wiggle around not only inside the man's eyes but also his mouth and ears, Tonja instinctively knows that it is already too late to save the man. Aiming her repulsor at his torso, she blasted herself free of him holding her in place. Finally free, Tonja finds herself surrounded by a swarm of symbiotes. Pushing her boosters to their limits, she is able to leave the place, as the whole place suddenly caves in.

While raising out of the place, Tonja suddenly realizes that her right arm has gone numb. Panicking she asks Javis.

''Jarvis show me the suit integrity.''

(Jarvis) ''Suit has been breached... Alian organism detected... infecting host...''

''s.h.i.t...'' Tonja curses, as she sees her right arm, left leg and left eye already infected. ''... Okay... Jarvis activates autopilot and bring me back to the Ethen and...'' Thinking it over, she hesitates to give her next command.

(Jarvis) ''Activating Autopilot...''

Feeling her thinking already becoming affected she tells Jarvis. ''... Jarvis exposes the infected parts of my body to s.p.a.ce... let's just hope that that will work.''

(Jarvis) ''Madam, with all due respect exposing parts of the human body to the harsh conditions of outer s.p.a.ce will result in the affected body parts becoming crippled...''

''Simply do it. If I have to sacrifice some parts of my body to prevent Knull from taking over my body, so be it. I am prepared to pay the price.'' Tonja says, ready to sacrifice her infected right arm, left leg and left eye as to not become Knull's hostage and be used against Ethen.

(Jarvis) ''As you wish... Exposing infected parts...''

Hearing part of Jarvis answer Tonja loses her consciousness, as the pain from getting her parts of her body frozen, overwhelms her nervous system entirely.
