Zheng Weiqian stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows in his office, overlooking the red sunset. He doesn't know when was the last time he stood like this and enjoy the sunset. Before, he would give himself a holiday and go to the small town to visit his granny for a few days. The crisp sound of the phone ringing broke the silence in the room and also pulled the man from his work.

“Weiqian, where are you? Are you still in the company? Didn't I tell you yesterday that today is Granny's birthday so you have to come home early?” Zhang Haiying's voice came from the other side.

When she saw the car drive farther away, Fang Yan felt disappointed and frustrated. Didn't he see her earlier? She looked away. Since the opportunity to get a free ride is gone, she accepted her fate as she tried to hail a cab.

When she received Granny's call inviting her to come over to celebrate her birthday, she came out of the company and tried to catch a cab. Suddenly she saw Zheng Weiqian's car come out. She wanted to ask him to go together but she didn't expect him to treat her so coldly and pretended not to see her.

Zheng Weiqian entered the house and saw that everyone is happily chatting in the living room, creating a lively atmosphere.

“I didn't ask you to come to get a gift. I'm already happy that you came over to accompany me.” The old madame patted her hand.

When he heard Fang Yan speak, Zheng Weiqian suddenly remembered that he also hasn't prepared a gift for Granny.

Fang Yan turned to go to the dining room but accidentally met Zheng Weiqian's eyes. She wanted to say h.e.l.lo but didn't expect that he would ignore her and walk into the dining room.
