"Yay." I stretched and stood up. "Okay, I think it's time to go back to bed."

"Me too." She yawned again and wiped her eyes. "See you in a few hours."

"See you this afternoon." I giggled and walked to my bedroom. I dropped on my bed in a heap and before I knew it I was fast asleep, once again having dreams of my night with Mr. Miracle Tongue.

The constant ringing of the doorbell woke me up and I cursed into the pillow as I covered my ears. "Make it stop." I muttered to myself.

Ding Dong.

"I'm coming." I screamed as I jumped out of bed and hurried to the front door. It was during times like this that I envied Alice her ability to sleep through anything. "Yes?" I opened the door with an att.i.tude and my heart dropped as I stared at Xander on the other side of the door, a huge grimace on his face.

"h.e.l.lo Liv."

"Xander." I nodded and glared at him. "What are you doing here? You woke me up, you know?"

"It's Sunday afternoon, Liv." He pushed past me and into the apartment. "Why are you in bed still?"

"I'm tired." I muttered. "And come in, why don't you?"

"Why did you leave so early this morning?" He glared at me as we stood in the hallway.

"What?" I yawned and glared back at him.

"You and Alice left before everyone else woke up."

"We needed to get back. We had work to do."

"Who is it?" Alice chose that moment to exit her bedroom, rubbing her eyes.

"You were sleeping as well?" Xander asked Alice.

"Yeah, why?" She walked up to us and yawned again.

"So what work did you guys have to do, Liv?" Xander raised an eyebrow and looked at me.

"I don't have to tell you." I looked away from him. Why was he here? "How did you get my address?"

"Aiden gave it to me." He said shortly.

"I'm surprised he didn't come as well." I said annoyed.

"I don't think he wanted to come." Xander said and I looked over at Alice, who was blushing. What had gone down with Alice and Aiden? I stared at her for a few seconds, but she avoided my stare.

"I'm going to make some coffee." She said finally. "Anyone want some?"

"I'll take a cup." Xander said. "Black please."

"I'll have a cup as well, milk and sugar, you know how I like it." I said and she walked into the kitchen. "Shall we sit in the living room then?" I turned back to Xander. "I a.s.sume you're not going to leave before you have your coffee?"

"You a.s.sume correct." He said stiffly and he followed me to the living room.

"So what do you want, Xander?" I sighed. "I thought we said everything we needed to say last night."

"You didn't say goodbye."

"What?" I frowned at him. "What are you talking about?"

"You left this morning without saying goodbye." He stared at me and I wondered what I looked like. I was sure hot and mess would describe me pretty well. I hadn't bothered to take off my makeup the night before and I could feel that my hair was no longer a wavy cacophony of beauty, but more a frizzy bush.

"Are you f.u.c.king joking me? Why do I need to say bye?" I shook my head and tried not to notice how pink his lips looked this morning.

"Why do you have to be so immature, Liv?" He shook his head at me. "I thought we made up last night. I thought you understood where I was coming from. I thought we were friends."

"What do you want from me, Xander?" I groaned out loud, unable to stop my frustration from coming out. We stared at each other for a few seconds and he shrugged.

"I don't know." He sighed. "Nothing I guess."

"Then leave." I sat back and looked away from him.

"I don't want to leave." He said softly.

"I'm not having s.e.x with you." I shifted away from him. "If that's why you're here."

"That's not why I'm here." He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him. "I don't know what to say Liv. I don't know what you want from me. I don't even know you. I know nothing about you really. I can't just change my life for you."

"You already told me that." I sighed and pulled my hand away from him.

"I'm the guy that has s.e.xual relationships. I'm the guy that goes after what he wants and gets it. I'm the guy that leaves in the morning."

"Well good for you." I jumped up as Alice walked into the living room with the coffee. "We're done here, Xander." I looked at him and folded my arms as I chose my words carefully. "It's like you said, you don't know me. If you did know me, you would know that I'm not the sort of girl that just has s.e.xual relationships. I'm not the girl that is the f.u.c.k buddy. I'm not the girl that lets a guy trample all over her." I stared at his face and looked into his impenetrable green eyes. "I don't know what you want. And you don't know what you want. And that's just not good enough, Xander. I'm not going to settle to be second best, I don't care what your issues are." And then I walked out of the living room and directly to my bedroom. I locked the door behind me, turned on my laptop and played my music as loud as it would go and then walked into my bathroom and turned on the bath and poured some Epsom salts in and waited for the tub to fill up. I was not going to think about Xander. I was not going to let him get to me. I didn't care what he thought as he left. I didn't care if he thought I was rude. I didn't care. I didn't care. I didn't care. I kept repeating that to myself as I stripped my clothes off and settled into the bath. I sat back and closed my eyes and let the water calm me down. He was a jerk for playing with my feelings like this. Why couldn't he just leave me alone?

"Want to watch a movie, Alice?" I exited my room about four hours later, feeling refreshed. I could hear the TV on in the living room and I made my way to the room, determined to keep my mind off of Xander.

"What do you want to watch?" Xander sat there next to Alice with a warm smile on his face.

"You?" I frowned. "What are you still doing here?"

"That's my cue to get up." Alice smiled at me. "I'm going to go and have a bath too."

"What's going on Alice?" I looked at her, hurt that she would sit and chat with him after everything he had done to me.

"Just talk to Xander." She rubbed my shoulder as she left the room. "He's not all bad."

"Whatever." I sighed and looked back at him as she left the room. "I thought I told you to leave."

"I don't actually believe you said that." He grinned at me and then pat the seat next to him. "Sit."

"What do you want Xander?" I could feel my blood pressure rising.

"I know your birthday is in September. I know you're a Virgo. I know you work for a small nonprofit doing marketing work. I know that you wish you were better in science because you wanted to be a vet. I know you love dogs, hate cats, and that you're deathly afraid of spiders and snakes. I know that you want to be on Survivor or The Amazing Race. I know that you think Matthew McConaughey is the best looking actor in Hollywood. I know that that you love cupcakes and French fries and that you hate vegetables, but you make yourself eat them because that's what you've always done. I know that you love your family, even though they infuriate you and I know that if you could have any car in the world, it would be a black sports Range Rover."

"A Range Rover isn't a car, it's an SUV." I said, feeling dazed.

"I know that you're a romantic and that you believe in true love and fairy tales."

"Alice told you that?" My jaw dropped. I was going to kill Alice.

"No." He shook his head. "Alice told me everything up to the car. I figured out the true romantic stuff."

"Oh." I said stiffly.

"Why did you ask her all that stuff?"

"You said that I didn't know you and you were right." He gave me a weak smile. "I wanted a chance to get to know you and I didn't think you were going to answer any of my questions."

"I see."

"Do you really?" He stood up and walked over to me. "Do you really see, Liv?"

"Not really." I shook my head, my heart racing as he grabbed my hands and pulled me towards him. "What's the point of asking her all those questions?"

"I don't know." He shrugged. "I don't really understand what's going on between us."

"Neither do I." I acknowledged.

"I just wish you would quit playing games with my heart." He grinned and then winked at me as I laughed.

"She told you that was my favorite song as well?"

"Yes," He laughed. "She did."

"I'm going to kill Alice." I sighed.

"Please don't." He leaned forward and kissed me. "Or at least not just yet."

"Okay then, I won't kill her yet." I kissed him back and whimpered as I felt his hands reaching up under my t-shirt and squeezing my bare b.r.e.a.s.t.s.

"No bra?" He groaned next to my lips as his fingers pinch my nipples.

"I'm at home, I don't need a bra."

"I need to be at your home more often." He grunted lifted my t-shirt up quickly before lowering his head and sucking on my right nipple.

"Xander, you can't do this." I moan as he sucked eagerly and pinched my other nipple.

"Yes, I can." He grinned up at me and switched to my other breast.

"What if Alice comes back out." I groaned as his teeth tugged my nipple gently and I ran my hands through his hair. "Xander," I moaned his name loudly.

"Let's go to your bedroom then."

"I don't know." I said hesitantly.

"Please." He licked his lips and then kissed me again.

"We haven't really solved anything though." I wasn't sure what to do.

"Do we have to figure it out now?" He kissed the side of my neck and then whispered in my ear. "My tongue wants to show you how badly he's missed you."

"You know just what to say to get me to say yes, don't you?" I giggled and grabbed his hand and pulled him towards my bedroom. "Come on, before I change my mind."

"We wouldn't want you to do that, would we?" He chuckled as we entered my room and I made sure to lock the door behind us. I did not need Alice walking in while Xander went down on me. Not at all. "Nice room." He looked around and grinned. "And no Backstreet Boys posters."

"Very funny." I laughed and leaned forward to kiss him again. "Keep it up and you won't make it to the bed."

"Oh really?" He laughed and grabbed me around the waist and picked me up. I started squealing and then he dropped me on the mattress and just looked at me for a few seconds. "I better get to work quickly then." He winked at me and reached down and pulled my top off. He stared at my b.r.e.a.s.t.s for a few seconds and licked his lips. "I like you with no bra." He said and then reached down and pulled my boy shorts off. "And no panties either, yummy." He moaned and spread my legs open before dropping to his knees.
