Tier 3 Staged Boss Mob
Female Toy Seamstress – Unnamed
Lvl 43
HP- 6800
MP- 2200
ATK- 690
DEF- 560
Unique Abilities
The Sound of Silence- The Seamstress prefers to work in silence. When she emerges, magical threads will attempt to sew shut the mouths of adventurers who are currently engaged in combat with her. If successful, adventurers who have had their mouths sewn shut will be silenced for 1minute
Quick St.i.tch Fix- The Seamstress is a master of her craft. When one of her pets is brought below 50% of its life, she will appear to repair it. It will take her 1 minute to repair her pet's injuries.
Thread of Fate- Each time the seamstress appears, she will connect a single, red thread to one adventurer at random. If 5 or more adventurers have a red thread attached to them, half their hp will be drained, and the seamstress will create a fourth animal companion.
Unique Pa.s.sive
Not What it Seams!- This old, frail looking grandma is not what she seems. The moment she is attacked, she will unleash one of her three creations, only reappearing to st.i.tch her precious pets back together, and release additional ones as the fight goes on.
The Puppet Show- The moment combat is initiated with the seamstress, walls of thread will be erected, creating an enclosed sphere 100 yards in diameter. These threads are magically enhanced and can only be destroyed by the seamstress's needles.
James read through his new boss's abilities once more, grinning all the more as he finished. Not only were her stats impressive, as was to be expected of a boss over level 40, but her abilities seemed like they were going to be extremely difficult for adventurers to deal with. Especially her silence, and her ability to heal her mobs.
Essentially, from what James could gather, the fight would play out in stages, with players needing to burn her pets hp down to below 50%, and then dps the boss for a minute when she appeared to fix it. That of course, would become more difficult as more of her mobs were added to the fray, making the boss fight essentially a war of attrition.
He especially liked the fact she created her own arena, it saved him having to create a large area on his map for her to have set aside to herself. However, he did plan on giving her a home of her own, just like he had the Terminus. Now that he knew bosses could gain AI of their own, it only seemed right. He couldn't very well leave the creepy old grandma to just roam around in the swamps…He didn't want that kind of karma coming back to him once her AI fully developed.
The part of the boss he was most curious about though, was her thread of fate. Nowhere on the information page did tell him what exactly would be summoned, only that she would create a new mob. It also didn't say what the percentage was on adventurers for her to choose from. Just that it had to be at least 5. James was sure it would be a while before he got to see that skill in action, but he could hardly wait. If there was one thing everyone loved, it was secret boss interactions. Mainly because such things usually led to rare drops. And every MMO player loved rare drops.
Now that James had read over the boss's stats, he noticed three additional tabs on her screen. Each of these tabs had the image of one of her three pets on it, and James nearly tentacle palmed his...o...b.. The three pets were named, of course they were going to have their own unique tabs, skills, and traits. James stopped his tentacle from going to the seamstress's skill up tree and pulled up all three of the pets' information. He supposed it was important that he knew what they could do, before he buffed his boss, after all.

As he skimmed over the abilities of his boss's mobs again and again, he could start to see just how awesome his new boss was going to be. The fact that she added in an additional one of these mobs per time she emerged, just made that fight all the more interesting. There was Tigerrrr, who was the first mob James had ever seen that didn't actually have a unique ability. However, its unique traits made up for it, as that mob was just a versatile attacked, with the chance to land some devastating critical hits. The Magik Wabbit, was squishy, but James knew the barrage of random spells would keep adventurers on edge and keep them from being able to really plan around that mobs attacks. The wabbit would get even more dangerous, when he was joined with one of the other two mobs. And then, there was Leonardo. That turtle was a tank mob. And, James could already guess a lot of players would end up taking a bunch of damage from him before they realized how he worked.
Add in to that the fact they mobs would constantly get healed, and James could tell this boss was going to be one h.e.l.l of a battle for players. Part of him said he should wait to upgrade the boss, until the players got at least one or two chances at her. That part of him, the kind, thoughtful, part, was squashed by the compet.i.tive gamer part of him. Besides, in the player's eyes, the first time they fought the boss, would be the vanilla version of her. They didn't need to know that she had been upgraded.
James quickly pulled up her skill tree, and grinned, noting his four skill points for her. He was also pleasantly surprised to see he had 4 skill points for each of her mobs as well. Oh yes. Oh yes indeed.
"You know, that's kind of a d.i.c.k thing to do." Rue was once again over his shoulder, watching as he dumped two skill points into his boss mob, and all four skill points into each of her pets.
"I know." Rue was right, what he was doing would be considered a d.i.c.k move, but he had been kind up until now. And, if he was going to blame it on anything, he would just say his hangry nature, and the threat of BLANK, had made him go a little tougher on this third floor. But honestly, powering up the pet mobs wasn't going to be that drastic of a change in the fight. Besides, the two skills he had selected, Threadbare and Needle in a Haystack, weren't all that op. Had he chosen Kung Fu Granny, that would have been a d.i.c.k move. These, these weren't all that crazy.
"So, the last thing to do, before we finish the floor, is to give her a name, and a place to live, right?" James already had an idea of what type of place he was going to give her. But he had no idea what to name her. "Any ideas on a name Rue?"
