"You sure you don't want to reroll?" Rue was glancing anxiously from James, to the three options displayed before them. Honestly, part of him did want to reroll, mainly because he was curious what other options there were. However, he could at least work with the options that were laid out before him.

"Nope, like I said. We are going to choose one of these three." He gave Rue as stern a look as a floating eyeball could and began reading over the three options in front of him.

Just like normal boss mob options, the boss options in front of him had no actual names, just generic descriptors of them. What James did find interesting though, was that one of the bosses had three smaller boss…pets? It seemed, that did have names. James felt it was slightly reminiscent to his second floor, where he got to name the Terminus, but B.L.U. came with a pre-decided name. It seemed…strange, to say the least.

Naming matters aside, the three options before James were about as unique and different from each other as he could have hoped. Of course, the fact James could even see any information about their stages was also a stroke of luck. The previous boss options, he had just been able to see what it was. He couldn't really look at their abilities or skills until he selected on and summoned it. At least the developers weren't going full on a.s.shole for staged bosses. And, thankfully, being able to at least get an idea of what the boss fights would be like, helped him choose what he wanted.

The first staged boss option was a ma.s.sive teddy bear. Now, when James said ma.s.sive, it truly was ma.s.sive. The freaking bear seemed like it would be as large, if not larger, than Charles the d.i.c.ken. The short description detailing the bear, showed that every time it lost a quarter of its life, it would split apart, doubling the amount of teddy bosses players would be fighting. These split pieces would be smaller, have less of the stuffing buff, but likely do more damage, or have increased attack speed. James wasn't too sure, as he didn't get that level of detail, sadly, from the boss mod creator screen.

The second boss, on the other hand, was a toy box. From within the toy box, random smaller mobs would be summoned. If James had to guess, he was sure that boss would have a high defense when it was closed up, meaning adventurers would have to defeat the mobs it sp.a.w.ned, and then dps it whenever it opened back up to sp.a.w.n more monsters. Definitely an interesting fight, especially with the random feature for what it could summon. James was, after all, pretty committed to the random life.

"You can't choose the toy box." Rue interrupted James musings as he continued to eye the toy box. He had after all, already skimmed all three, and was deeply contemplating choosing that toy box option. Rue's comment though, pulled him from his musings.

"Why? The toy box seems like a lot of fun." It really did. Especially because James figured nothing could be better in a random dungeon than a random boss.

Rue hesitated, before she spoke, and James could tell she hated herself as she did. "I…won't be able to control my betting if you choose the toy box." Ah. That was an extremely valid point. James could already envision the number of bets being made on what type of mobs would be sp.a.w.ned for adventurers to face. Especially after they unlocked the boss and saw its skills, he was sure they would be given a list of available options. That toy box would literally be a gambling gold mine. And Rue, to her credit, was well aware of her problem.

"So, do you want the giant bear, or…" He trailed off as he looked at the third option. The one option that had smaller, named mobs with it.

"Well, you're trying to make this floor creepy, just like you right?"

"Ye-wait!"

"Ha." Rue's face lit up as she broke into laughter for a moment. Once she composed herself, she pointed at the two options. "What's going to be creeper Glyax? A giant teddy bear that bursts into smaller ones? On a floor already filled with stuffed bears." Her hand shifted from the ma.s.sive teddy to the third option. "Or a creepy old lady with a trio of stuffed animal companions."

Rue had a point; the third option definitely would be creepier. He had just been so caught up in the toy box, that he hadn't put much thought into the other two. The third option was an old, old looking lady. Like, she seemed like perhaps the old witch from an old folktale, the kind that would kidnap and eat children. Each of her hands held long, slender needles, and at her feet, were three, named, stuffed animal mobs. One, was a tiger, one was a turtle, and one was a rabbit.

"Definitely the old lady." James said with agreement, and after a quick glance to Rue, he selected his third-floor boss option, allowing the giant teddy, and the toy box, to slip through his grasp. The moment he selected his boss mob, he pulled up the Grandma's window. Now the real fun could begin. Mainly because, one of the most exciting parts of DCO, well actually any MMO type game, was skills. Upgrading skills, modifying skills, selecting skills. That unique, extra level of personalization was always a huge draw for James. That was why he had been a little sad he wouldn't be able to take advantage of the game's unique multi-cla.s.sing skill trees and modifying.

Obviously, with his Avatar unlocked, James had a feeling he could actually still get to play with that system, so that sense of disappointment was gone. However, even if he couldn't, the number of mobs, and boss mobs, he got to customize and upgrade and tweak with skill points, made up for it tenfold. While regular mobs were fun, boss mobs always seemed to have the most unique, entertaining, and versatile range of upgrades and skills to choose from. And, while his first and second floor he had to wait patiently to upgrade his boss mobs until he leveled and gained skill points, and obviously, gave the players a chance to face the vanilla version of the boss, James had completely different opinions for his third floor boss mob. He had 4 skill points to spend after all on her, and while he might not use all 4, he definitely planned on using at least one or two. Rue had her gambling problem, and James had his own guilty pleasures.
