Thinking so, he got up and left for the "prisoner camp".

Pa.s.sing the mercenaries and the wounded guards, he could not help but frown. This was only the beginning, how useless were they?

He paid them to protect his wife but in the end, it was his wife that had protected them!

Whole numbers were needed, but it was only so they could lose a few while he would not be risking Speranza's safety!

Who cared about a few guards? He sure did not. Those were not his troops, but only a rift-raft that he had a.s.sembled in a haste to have numbers to travel with.

If it had been a platoon of his troops, a few of them would have been enough to dispatch those monsters easily.

Arriving at the holding pen, the guards made way for him.

Looking around, he finally spotted his arch enemy, that shameless b.i.t.c.h that had sent Speranza in a magical deprivation coma!

Seeing him walk toward her looking as grim as the grim reaper, she couldn't help but feel her heart constrict.

This man, she wanted him but she wanted to be in control, not the other way around!

If he was the one dictating things would she enjoy it? Likely not!

After all she would be only a slave now it wasn't a requirement for the slave to enjoy the gratification that came with doing the deed…

Plus she had wanted him because he was a strong male!

She was at the age were if she wanted a child it was now or never.

His red blood eyes gazed over her, she could feel that no matter what followed she would not be feeling good.

Taking her up by the neck, he dragged her out to the middle of the slave pen.

There on the center post where chains had been added in a cross, he tossed her into the clamps tieing her by the wrist, ankles, and brand new chain collar.

He sneered at her. "Didn't you say you wanted me to make you a child once you would have captured me?"

"Did you think you held that much ability?"

"But since it's a child you want I will grant you your wish."

With a gaze filled with disdain and a h.e.l.lish sneer his hand reached to hold her chin and turned her face so her left cheek would be in proper view.".

"All of you hear my order from this moment on this b.i.t.c.h shall be the thing even the dogs can use to meet their needs."

"Also brand her with the mark of the slave on her left cheek so she can never cut it off."

He smiled darkly at her.

Her eyes grew wide, she did not want to carry a mutt!

She then screamed and begged!

"Please don't I'll do anything please I don't want that!" She screamed over and over making her voice break and become hoa.r.s.e.

"After all, I am one of the strongest among my race and would be a good match for your standing!

Sneering he motioned for the iron to be heated up.

"All the females and males from your race will be branded. But unlike you, they will be a little luckier. After all, they are only subordinates but by following a bad leader they should learn what happens when you lose."

His gaze landed on an obviously just reached the young adulthood age. Where they would head out and try to earn a name for itself young woman.

Her pale gray skin said she was likely a mixed blood. A half-dark elf - half light elf.

She also adored their trademark silver-white hair, but as she was a mixed blood her's had a purplish hue to them.

Those were not to rare in the community of dark elves, but there standing though not as bad as slaves were, still pretty low.

Unless they became well known getting some recognition from purebloods.

Those deeds normally would be linked with the military might, after all, those elves worshiped the strong and ate the weak.

Those mixed blood were not accepted in both the races one found them as dirty the other as seeds of evil.

They would have forever no place to truly stand. Always having to prove their worths to the others.

He approached the girl.

"What's your name."

Towering over her his eyes pierced inside her own as she had shanked back at his approach obviously very intimidated by his sole presence.

"Demona."

She answered in a fearful voice, and good thing he had a keen earing or this voice would have remained unheard so much it was quiet.

"How old are you."

While his tone was kept stern and cold it was not aggressive as when he had spoken about the punishment that would be dealt with the dark-elves.

"Speak clearly."

He did not want to have to stretch his ears to hear her!

Speaking a tad louder this time.

"I just turned a hundred and fifteen years old."

Elves living longer than humans developed slower and matured about a hundred years.

This amount for a human was impressive for an elf it meant she just barely had her own coming of age.

He lifted her chin up and gazed into her clear mismatched eyes one red one blue.

"You are lucky." He glanced at the guardian making a eye contact.

The man got the drift and came to undo the binds at her feet and wrist.

Removing the chains but not the prisoner's braces.

"Follow me."

Under all the other dark elves furious gaze, she left with her head down.

She avoided the greatest calamity that was about to be unleashed on the others.
