"Why don't you call me by my name? I'm only looking at you cause i'm worried . You haven't said a word since I told you about Ms Sky's baby . " Dwayne took another sip of his beer .

"It's better I don't call you any name cause you won't like what I call you . You should go now, thanks for telling me about the baby . How did you find out about the baby?"

"It doesn't matter how I found out . Or do you doubt me? I want to leave too but I'm curious . How did she do it without you knowing?"

Neto tried to think of the last time they had s.e.x before the pregnancy . He asked Dwayne how far along Sky was in her pregnancy . The last time they had s.e.x before the whole thing was eleven months ago . He remembered then she was avoiding him cause she wanted him to take their relationship to the next level but he was scared . After that he remembered she came to say goodbye to him and he got drunk that she had to help him change into his pyjamas .

That was when it hit him . He use to have this dream of them making love, but what if it wasn't a dream? He's a bad drunk and always blacks out after drinking too much and Sky knew about it . She even warned him of his drinking habit before she left the next morning . She had told him nothing happened as he slept like a log of wood . He believed her cause she was fully dressed and him too .

Neto taught back to that night . But why would she do such a thing without asking him? Did she steal his sperm or did they have s.e.x?

He closed his eyes and tried to think back to that night but nothing, except when they were talking and drinking .

"Darn it . " Neto said as he threw the gla.s.s of water to the wall . It's high time he sees a doctor or therapist concerning his blackout .

"Hey calm down . It'll come back to you eventually . You just need something to trigger your memory . " Dwayne had been watching him the whole time . He shook his head as he saw how confused Neto was . He has to give it to his boss, she's really good at getting people .

Dwayne was about to say something when his phone rang . It was Anton .

Neto noticed the way Dwayne's face change and how he stood up immediately . The only thing he's said into the phone was "What, and How?"

"Is everything alright?" He asked as Dwayne ended the call . But Dwayne didn't say a word, instead he saw anger in his eyes . Luckily for him, he was able to duck fast as Dwayne threw his gla.s.s of beer at him .

"If anything happens to her Neto, I promise my face will be the last you see . Why did you have to announce your engagement at her Reunion?" Terrified, Dwayne ran his hand threw his hair . He picked up his car keys and ran out of the house .

Neto was stupefied . He could only run after Dwayne

"Hey what's going on? is Mena alright . " The elevator door was almost closing but he got in before it did . His heart was racing as if it was going to explode . He hate being in the dark and that was what Dwayne was doing . He grabbed Dwayne by the collar and slammed his back into the wall .

"If you don't get talking now Mr Teffa . I promise I'll use all my training in military school on you . "

Dwayne couldn't even speak or fight . He allowed Neto drag him around . His shoulders fell as he finally decided to answer him . "Ms Sky was in a serious accident . It's bad man, very bad"

Neto didn't allow Dwayne finish his sentence before he released him and Dwayne fell to the ground lifelessly . Neto ran out of the elevator as the door opened . It was only when he got to his car that he realised his key wasn't with him .

"Let's use my car" Dwayne shouted as he got into the drivers seat . Neither of them said a word as they drove to the hospital .

Mrs Onome continued pacing as she tried Sky's number for the tenth time that evening . "Angela . . . . none of my kids are picking up . I'm telling you something is not right .

"Calm down Victoria, you know your condition . Don't worry I'll give Bree a call .

Brianna's vision was blinded with tears . She used her dress to wipe the tears off as they waited outside the emergency room . She has been ignoring her mother's call . She sighed as she saw Ms Angela's call . She didn't want her mom to know about Mena's accident but Mena might need their mom .

Jim saw his wife struggling with her phone . So he collected the phone and answered the call .

They had received the call, few minutes after they got to Mena's place . Anton's number was on Sky's speed dial . The homeless woman who picked Sky's phone called Anton and told him about the accident .

He looked around the room and everyone was a mess . Aidenn had to give Jenna a sedative to calm her down . She was sleeping peacefully on his lap . Aidenn wanted to go in but the doctors refused telling him he didn't have the right too .

Kira was with Anton who had tossed almost all his clothing away . . . . leaving him in his suit trouser and his white inner wear .

Zino and her husband sat quietly at the corner as they prayed .

Bones stood very far from everyone with Chiamanda standing a little close to him .

As the door to the emergency room opened, everyone rushed forward . It was a nurse .

The intern got confused as everyone asked her questions at the same time . She wasn't suppose to tell them anything but she couldn't keep quiet as she saw the people with tears in their eyes . "A specialist is on his way . " was all she could say .

"Where is the Director, why isn't she here yet . I need to speak to someone in charge . I want Dr Aidenn in there . . . this is no time for who is suppose to dominate in any jurisdiction or who is right or wrong . If Aidenn doesn't go in there and something happens to Sky . I'll shut this hospital down .

"Calm down Anton . Sky already told me everything about the young doctor here . . I got here as fast as I could . We were at a conference in Lagos . Dr Olu is prepping for surgery as we speak now . Mr Aidenn I believe you should do the same . Myself and Dr Feige will watch the surgery . You are in good hands Anton, all you need do is pray . " Mrs Jane said as she walked into the room .

Sky was like a daughter to her . She was barely holding it in but she had to be professional . She smiled weakly at the group before she left them with Aidenn .

Anton felt at ease with Mrs Jane and Dr Feige's presence . He was also glad that Aidenn could go in . After a few minutes of waiting . Anton decided to pray for the first time in his life .

The moment Mrs Onome and Mrs Angela entered the waiting room . Brainna wiped her face and signalled everyone to tell them to behave .

Zino's husband had to leave, he bid everyone farewell ad he went home to meet their kid as it was time for the nanny to leave . He apologized to the family before he left .

"Mom, calm down . We all have to be strong for Mena and besides, we just spoke with the Dr . Everything is going well mom but we need to pray so they won't be any complication . Come on mom, let's go to the other room, I need to show you something . " Brianna said as she took her mom's shoulder and led her out of the room .

"Bree I hope you ain't lying to me?" The woman said in shaky voice as she followed her daughter out of the room . Her eyes were swollen from all the tears she's cried .

As Brianna and her mom left the room . Dwayne and Neto rushed in but before Neto could ask what happened . A punch threw him at the other side of the room . It was Anton who punched him, while Jim and Dwayne tried their best to hold Bones back .

"Now Boys calm down . We will all get thrown out of this hospital, if you fight . And besides we need to be praying together not fighting . " Mrs Angela said as she came in between the group and her son .

"With all due respect ma'am, your son is the cause of this whole thing . Of all days, he chose today to announce his engagement in Mena's highschool reunion" Zino said as she eyed Neto .

"Oh no that's impossible . My son isn't engaged to anyone . This must be a big misunderstanding, right Netochuckwu?" The woman asked as she turned her head to look at her son who was bleeding in his nose and lip . She let out a sigh of relief as her son nod his head to tell her she was right . Luckily she was able to get the gentleman to sit down .

Neto spent the next hour trying to convince the group of how he had to make a deal with his father and how he was surprised at Kosi's announcement .

After two hours of waiting . The door to the emergency room opened and a doctor walked out . . . looking exhausted . Everyone rushed to meet him as he came out . "Family members?" He asked . "We are doing all we can but there was a bit of a complication and we might have to chose between the mother's life and that of her baby's .

Anton staggered back as he had the news . He couldn't make that decision . Sky would kill him if he chooses her over her child . Everyone spoke out confusing the Doctor .

"I'm her mother doctor and my daughter isn't married . You can talk to me . I'll be making any decision concerning my child . "

Everyone turned back as they heard Mrs Onome's voice . She wasn't supposed to be in the room . They all wanted Sky alive but at the same time everyone knew how much the baby meant to Sky . It was a tough decision to make . , to choose between sweetpea and Ms Sky Nathaniel .
