While everyone was eating, Si Weimin arrived with w.a.n.g Guo on the set. He nodded his head in appreciation as he observed the studio. He heard from Director Han that the shoot went well so he immediately asked w.a.n.g Guo to head directly at the studio. He ordered w.a.n.g Guo to buy foods for the movie crews and the casts.

On his way, he also asked him to stop at Siji Minfu to buy special Peking duck for Xu Jia Li. He had been quite busy the entire day that he only got to message Xu Jia Li in the morning to give her words of encouragement. He also told her to call him when she's not busy. Not receiving any call for her, he knew that she might already be focused on her scenes.

Si Weimin busied himself in the company, trying his best to focus on his meetings and conferences. Last night was still so vivid in his mind. He didn't get enough sleep as the person on the rooftop haunted him. He wasn't sure about the purpose of that person but he already asked Ru Tengfei to check the cctv cameras in the opposite building.

Since the night that Thomas Young suddenly disappeared, he became more anxious. Something inside him was telling him that something was amiss.

Si Weimin was in deep thought when Director Han approached him, "CEO Si, you didn't say you'll visit."

"I had a meeting somewhere near."

"It's really a pleasant surprise," Director Han nodded happily before he informed Si Weimin, "We're almost done today, CEO Si. We only had to shoot one scene before we pack up."

"That's good, then." Si Weimin nodded. He moved his head, looking for Xu Jia Li.

As if reading his thoughts, Director Han said, "CEO Si, Miss Xu is eating in her dressing room."

"Hmmm."

Si Weimin strode regally with food take outs on his hands. He exuded such authority that made one's heart flutter. He went straight towards Xu Jia Li's dressing room.

w.a.n.g Guo saw where the devil was heading. He shook his head as he muttered teasingly, "Tss. The devil sure dotes on Miss Xu."

w.a.n.g Guo still had a smile on his face as he approached the crews. He made sure that everyone was busy with their dinner as he handed them the food.

"Thank you, a.s.sistant w.a.n.g!"

"Yeah, enjoy the food." w.a.n.g Guo stood guard on the pathway that led towards Xu Jia Li's dressing room. He had to make sure that no one would see the two.

'Haist! He doesn't even think about creating another rumor.'

Xu Jia Li ate slowly as she gazed intently at Meng Lulu. She didn't really know why, but she felt uneasy with Meng Lulu's lively and innocent personality.

She castigated herself, knowing full well that she shouldn't be doubtful of people around her. She shrugged her uneasiness because the girl was clearly trying to be sweet. She knew how friendly the young girl was. That's why when Meng Lulu asked to eat with her in her dressing room, she couldn't help but obliged.

"Senior Xu, I'll bring you pumpkin cake tomorrow."

"Ah, that's not necessary, Lulu. You're busy enough to burden yourself about that." she smiled at the young girl in front of her.

"No, Senior Xu, it's okay. I really enjoyed baking cakes."

"Yes, Miss Xu. Lulu-mei is great in baking." Tang Xiexie, Meng Lulu's a.s.sistant chimed in.

Xu Jia Li only sighed as she nodded. She gazed at Shen Linqin who was eating merrily beside her. Suddenly, the knocks of the door made her stand.

"I'll open the door, Linqin. Continue eating."

Xu Jia Li made her way to the door. She was surprised to see Si Weimin standing outside.

"Ms. Vicious- Tongue Xu, I brought you dinner."

Xu Jia Li stifled a laugh when she saw him winked at her. Almost forgetting that Meng Lulu was inside, she almost hugged him. Luckily, Shen Linqin coughed to remind her that they were not alone.

"Ah, CEO Si. Thank you for the food." She immediately got the food bags on his hands before she continued, "Please, come in, CEO Si."

Seeing Si Weimin raised his brow on her, she signaled him to stop talking. She was so nervous that she almost dropped what she was holding.

Si Weimin quietly followed behind her.

"Oh my! h.e.l.lo, CEO Si! Thank you for letting me take the role! I'll work hard!" The lively and energetic Meng Lulu stood as she kowtowed in front of Si Weimin. Her eyes were shining brightly as she stared at him.

Si Weimin only nodded as he turned his gaze at Xu Jia Li, "I won't dally for long, Miss Xu. I just drop by to see how the shooting goes. Please, enjoy the food."

Xu Jia Li bowed as she thanked Si Weimin again. She then followed him outside. She closed the door before she spoke quietly, "Honey…"

To her utter surprise, Si Weimin suddenly hugged her. Since her dressing room was far from the other dressing rooms, there was no one outside. She smiled as she hugged him back – inhaling his fragrance.

"I missed you."

Hearing that, Xu Jia Li lifted her head up before she grinned, "Pft! But we've seen each other last night."

"Hmm… don't you miss me, too?"

"Well…" she teased him.

"Ah, now I see that Ms. Vicious- Tongue Xu needs spanking."

Xu Jia Li blushed when she heard what he said. She punched him lightly on his chest, "Spanking your face!"

"Ha ha ha! I really missed you, love."

"I know. I'm so pretty that you always think of me. Ugh! It really bothers me sometimes especially when I think how hard it must be for you not seeing my splendor." She crossed her arms on her chest as she winked at the stunned Si Weimin.

"Woah! Am I hearing things?"

"What? Am I not pretty? Why do you look so mortified?" Xu Jia Li pouted as she glared at him.

"Ha ha ha! Love, I think you're becoming really bold. Tss. Tss."

"Hmph! Okay! You don't really have to say it. I know you're so smitten with me. Bye!" She rolled her eyes at him before she turned around.

She was about to open the door when Si Weimin hugged her from behind. She shivered when she felt his breath on her ears. She even felt him kissed her lightly before he said, "You're the most beautiful woman in the entire world. No one can compare to you, love. I think I can't get enough of you."

Si Weimin was inside his car as he waited for Xu Jia Li. It was already 12 midnight. He had been waiting for 3 hours.

Earlier, after he said good bye to Xu Jia Li, he told w.a.n.g Guo to go home. He talked to Director Han for a while before he decided to wait outside.

He walked out of his car and leaned on it. He took his phone and was about to message Xu Jia Li when his phone beeped. Seeing the name flashing on the screen, he smiled as he answered,

"Ms. Vicious- Tongue Xu."

"Mr. Arrogant Si, we're done. I'll go home now."

"Okay. I'll wait for you here outside."
