Being stressed out yesterday, that's how Fei Shuang found herself sitting on her wheelchair in the waiting room of the general hospital, reading gossiping magazines (or trying to anyways) and keeping herself from flopping like a fish. ZhenZhu stated clearly yesterday that to avoid disgrace and face hardships from cold stone,she has to find any means possible to avoid at all cost. Also she considered trying her grandma's advice and decided to try online dating in the future.

After a short jaunt of eternity,Fei Shuang was finally called to a station where she was checked-in to record her pulse, blood pressure and her body ma.s.s index was recorded. Later on, she was taken by a nurse to an open wide s.p.a.ce room with equipments. She gently observed the room. The room was furnished with specialized carts and warming cabinets,mirrors and privacy screens. There were also basic supplies like scale, goniometer, tape measure,whirlpools, orthopedic support and braces. The equipments were composed of nordic track,treatment tables,ultrasound,isokinetic, electric muscle stimulation,exercise bike,phys...o...b..a.l.l.s,hanging spring, ankle exercisers,range of motion exercisers, dynamometer, leg traction equipment, power-step ultra flex foot rocker and many more. Looking at the equipments alone made her head dizzy.

At last,Mr Shen joined them. The nurse helped Fei Shuang sit at the chiropractic treatment table before excusing herself out. Fei Shuang wasn't asked to dress into a hospital gown because she wore a t-shirt and yoga pants. ZhenZhu bought her some workout clothes days ago because that's what's required to wear to physical therapy.

'Ugh.. this is it.'

When their eyes met, all the fear and dizziness suddenly vanished into thin air. Li Chu approached with a faint smile giving a different expression from his usual cold face. They both exchanged greetings before he carefully explained the techniques for conducting her treatment. There would be exercise, ultrasound, electric stimulation and TENS, traction, joint mobilization, ma.s.sage including both heat and cold. He also explained the reason for using each therapeutic modality and what to expect from each treatment.

After all the informations were given out to her, it was time to start treatment. The first modality was exercise.

So, Li Chu carefully positioned her to a laying down position with her legs straight.

Fei Shuang clearly wanted to say she could lay down by herself but when her eyes met Mr Shen's cold and determining eyes.... she couldn't say a word.

Li Chu was really gentle with his movement as he rest her head on the pillow. He removed Fei Shuangs snickers slowly and grabbed her leg, then raises it back and forth as gentle as possible as he was afraid to hurt her legs... if she could feel any pain tho.

Fei Shuang who was previously feeling uncomfortable, slowly became comfortable with Mr Shen's hand. Even tho she didn't feel anything on her leg as he performed short arc quads,it felt good.

Li Chu looked at Fei Shuang who had closed her eyes with a faint smile tugging at the corner of her pouting lips. Having a clearer view of her face, a pair of slender eyebrows looked down on velvety eyelashes. Her dedicate ears framed a b.u.t.ton nose. It was a pleasure to see her leaf brown hair tied up in a single bun.

Seeing how he was deeply gazing at her glossy skin, Li Chu immediately retracted his gaze from her fair and pleasing appearance. Why was he getting distracted? He has never being distracted by any of his patients during work,but why now? What's the difference? He wasn't even supposed to start the exercise this way with her legs, it was her hips! Definitely not a proper introduction of range of motion (ROM)!

'How did i lose my attention? Something's not right.'

After clearing his mind and decided to avoid looking at Fei Shuang's face at all cost in order to avoid distractions, he gently grabbed her head looking down at her hips and sat her on a sitting position.

Fei Shuang slowly opened her eyes when she felt one hand under her head and the other grabbing her hip. She suddenly realized that Mr Shen was avoiding looking at her face.

'This is odd,what did i do wrong?'

"The reason why we'll be doing the range of motion exercise is that they'll low of impact and it can be practiced regardless of how much control you have over your legs Miss Lee. The following parts to be exercised are; your hip,knees,ankles and toes."

"Alright,I understand." Fei Shuang slightly nodded.

The first step was her HIP.

Li Chu gently grabbed Fei Shuang hip and slowly bend her limb then straightened it out in order to perform hip abductions. Then he hold her hands right leg from underneath the calf and pulled to the side, so that the foot is moving forward. He then brought the leg back in towards the center and repeat.

His position was close to Fei Shuang, close enough for him to mistakenly sniff her body fragrance.

It was a floral scent of Chinese ground orchid. The floral scent a.s.saulted his keen nose like crazy. He subconsciously started having a fluffy feeling but hurriedly cleared his mind. No time for silly ideas.

While Li Chu was busy trying to clear things from his mind, Fei Shuang herself was also stuck in the same situation.

She was in a close distance, and could even smell Mr Shen's warm fragrance.

The smell was woody and oriental like he's actually sitting on a fireplace, using clove oil, something like chestnut accord, and vanilla to do so making her feel warmth and calm.

'No.its.not. He.is.cold.'

BATHUMP!

BATHUMP!

BATHUMP!

Her heart was still wasn't able to calm down and had been hitting the drum since the moment he grabbed her by the hip a bit close to his body.

Her mind suddenly exploded but her expression remained the same as she struggled hard to maintain a poker face.

'Calm down Fei Shuang, calm down.'

She kept repeating those words in her mind as she inhaled and exhaled.

Next, it was her KNEES.

Li Chu steadily bend her joint on the knee of her right leg and straightened it out. He did the same thing to her left leg.

Fei Shuang on the other hand who wasn't feeling any pain,blankly observed his every move without saying a word. She's already getting used to his touch after fighting hard to keep calm a while ago.

Later on, it was her ANKLES.

Li Chu once again,place on hand on her ankle and the other on her foot. He then rotate the foot clockwise and counterclockwise. The same procedure was repeated on the other leg.

The last step for the first exercise was her TOES.

He performed toe curls i.e he pushed her toes forward so that they can curl in and then backwards using his hand.

The funny thing was that Li Chu knew the exercise could be done by sitting,standing or laying down, but what he didn't understand was why he decided to do it while she's sitting. What made him do that? Why the feeling? He could have avoided sniffing her smell if he conducted the exercise while she was laying down.

'What has gotten into me?'
