The Destined Encounter 32 Chapter 32: One Month And A Half

It's been a month since Liam left him. First he tried to find him but it seems someone's been blocking his searching. Not even his friends and family wants to help him. The Omega doesn't want to be found. It pains him not to be by his wife but what's killing him is the fact that he once again hurt Liam. There's no excuse for that and Lance clearly knows it. He already accepted the fact that the two of them can no longer be together.

Everyday is like h.e.l.l to him he's like a Deadman walking and breathing in this world. All he can feel is pain and all he can see is darkness. He once thought of ending his life but Liam crossed his mind. If the Omega finds out he took his own life because of him he is sure that Liam will blame himself and he doesn't want Liam to ever blame himself. Instead he just drown his sorrow with Alcohols and liquors. It became a routine that Lance can no longer tell the days. He sometimes doesn't go to work for days and just spend his night and day drinking.

"I thought they said that Alcohols can make you forget about the pain. Then why is it I can still vividly feel it." Lance continues to cry himself to sleep.

"How is he Sebastian?" Mrs. Montero asked over the phone.

"He's the same Madam. Can't we do something, he just wants to see Liam." Sebastian pleads.

"We can't Sebastian, even if he is my Son I can't intervene with their problem as a married couples. Liam doesn't want to see him and I respect that. I'm just hoping for Liam to find it in his heart to forgive my son." Sebastian can hear the cracking oh the old woman's voice.

"Please look after my son Sebastian." The only thing the woman said before she ended the call.

"How is he Sebastian?" It was Terrence who asked. The call with Mrs. Montero just ended and Sebastian saw Terrence who looks like has been standing there for quite some time waiting for him to finish the call.

"Same as always. He's eating little to nothing and drink himself to death. He would some times go to work if not drunk then suffering from hung over." Sebastian answered giving him the full view of the situation.

"Can I see him?"

"Yeah, he's upstairs drunk, sleeping." Terrence help himself to Lance room and found the room in a mess with lots of branded heavy empty alcohols and hard drinks scattered on the floor.

"Lance you need to get up. You need to go to work." Terrence is waking Lance up but the later can only hear groins coming from Lance mouth. Out of annoyance Terrence got out and came back with a gla.s.s of cold water in his hand which he poured on Lance face for him to regain full consciousness.

"What the f.u.c.k!" Lance struggle to sit up the moment the cold water hit his face. He can feel headaches from the hungover coming up and the bright light from the windows is not helping either.

"You moron you need to wake up!" Terrence angrily said. He's already furious as it is to see his best friend throwing his life away.

"What's the used, it would probably much better if I don't ever get to wake up ever. He'll be free from a b.a.s.t.a.r.d like me." Lance laugh bitterly.

Terrence can't helped but punched his friends face. If hurting him can knock some senses out of him then he'll gladly do it over and over again. "If you think you dying will solve every f.u.c.king thing you just did then news flash it won't. Have you ever thought the people you're going to leave behind? Think about your parents you are their only child! Think about us your friends, you still have us. Just because Liam left doesn't mean you lost him forever. Drinking your life away is never an answer, you want him back? Then work hard for it!" Terrence storm out of Lance room but his words somehow made Lance hoped again.

Ever since that day Lance tried to get up on his feet. He started working again but didn't completely abandoned the drinking, it is his only sanctuary during his lonely nights. It is the only thing that can make him sleep.

He works during the day like a soulless man. He can no longer feel anything. He became even more ruthless and all his employees became aloof towards him. They usually fear going near him.

"Hey sorry for the intrusion, I'll be coming in." Lance said to Chester. Terrence sometimes invites Lance to their simple home, hoping that it could some how cheer the Alpha.

"No worries come in Lance." Chester opened the door wider and greeted his husband who is with Lance.

"Welcome home Terry." Chester said.

Lance envy the two, he misses his wife's greetings whenever he comes back home. He looked at the Omega who is cheerfully playing with Chester's twins. His wounds, bruises and cuts are now fully healed and he can already see glimmers of easeness and happiness from his eyes not like the first time he saw him after many years. Lance sit beside the Omega. "Theo how have you been?" Lance looked at the Omega who is still busy playing with the twins inside their crib.

"I'm doing good.... actually much better than how I was." The Omega gave him sa sweet smile. "How about you? How are you holding up?" Lance gave the Omega a sad smile, showing how miserable his life is.

"Still the same but I'm trying to hold up. Can I asked you something.…. That's if you don't mind."

"Y-yeah sure." The Omega said hesitantly

"You love Teakyun. We all knows how much you love him...." Lance stopped the moment he saw Theo flinched from the name of his Husband and Theo noticed that. "Go on. It's ok I just got surprised by your question." Theo a.s.sured the alpha that he is ok to take the question.

Lance blows a loud breath "We all know how much you love him and yet here you are... running away and.... hiding from him. What makes you do that? Is it about the beating?."

"Yeah it's true I do love him so much and he loves me too I know, I can tell but he started to change." Theo looked up as if he's trying to fight back the tears that's tempting to fall from his eyes. "We've been together for ten years and we are married for 7 years but 4 years ago he starts changing. My thoughtful husband who can't even raised his voice to me starts yelling at me. He constantly finds me annoying, then the yelling was followed by simple physical harm which I thought was normal." Theo looked at Lance.

"It's normal for married couples to fight some times right? but that some times became frequent and that simple physical slips became prominent. He beat me like I'm his own punching bag, I refused to admit to myself that he changed and that maybe he no longer loves me so I wait and endure cause I love him."

Theo wipe his tears. "The beating I can take but the cheating and his mistresses forced me to give up to the marriage I've been fighting. I already have a hunch. Tea didn't bother hiding it and it slowly killing me inside. I tried to make up different reason to shake the thoughts away but I didn't expect that he will bring one of those mistresses to our house, make love with him in one of our guests rooms. Huh!" Theo covered his face as he cried hard.

"I'm not numb Lance, no I'm not. My heart can only take so much. I talked to him the mistress and I felt a shamed showing my face to him looking like a beaten pulp dried to it's last juice. That's when I finally had enough." Lance hug Theo.

"I can't Lance, I'm tired. I don't want to be hurt again. He promised that I'll be the only one. He promised he will not regret marrying an Omega like me. He promised he will not going to hurt me. He promised that he will prove to my family that I made the right decision of choosing him over them but he hurt me instead Lance. He prove me that my decision is wrong."

"How is he?" Lance asked Terrence.

"Chester was able to calm him down." Terrence gave Lance a cup of tea. They are now standing at the balcony just outside the apartment. "I can't believe it at first but it looks like he has been deeply traumatized with what happened. I'm pulling some strings so that his Husband won't find out about where he is right now."

"Yeah it must've been crazy. But I'm no different than Teakyun." Terrence gave him a questioning look.

"You two are very much different. You, you are just an a.s.shole who hurted your wife emotionally but he, he is a f.u.c.king, stupid b.a.s.t.a.r.d who didn't just hurt his wife physically, emotionally but also mentally."

Lance sip to his cup. "But the end result is the same we both made our wives leave us." He looked at Terrence. "That reminds me, is his Husband even looking for him in the first place? It's already been one month and a half so how come?"

"Yeah we tried to see if Teakyun is looking for him unfortunately yes he is. According to my intell he already had someone checked for all the people who left the country. Fortunately we worked early in masking Theo's record cause if not we should be expecting the man back here." Terrence explained.

"How about Lee? Does he know?"

"No. He doesn't know, we can't risk it." Terrence answered.

"How about you?"

"I'm not fine, I guess I will never be fine as long as I don't have him by my side." Lance know that the talked is getting deep and he doesn't want to show to his friend how deep he is currently in.

"I have to go it's getting late." Lance looked at his wrist watch, he smiled bitterly. Even the watch from his wife is no where to be found. He felt empty.

"If you need to someone to vent your problem. I'm just here man." Terrence console.

Lance just raised his hand in response without turning around.

Bea on the other hand still tried to get herself close to the Alpha but Lance keeps on ignoring and avoiding her. As much as possible Lance doesn't want to have anything to do with the woman to the point that he already wants terminate the contract but terminating the contract in the midst of a heated issue will only create an even more conflicts and controversy as it is. The Resort is already in the red and at loss. Lance is in no condition to pull it out of the red. He is too emotional to handle the Empire efficiently resulting for them to fluctuate rapidly. A distracted soldier is indeed a dead soldier and in this case Lance is that soldier. He is already fighting a losing battle within him.

"Liam are you sure that you are OK? You have been throwing up a lot lately." Dexter said patting Liam's back lightly. He has been worried for the Omega. He noticed that for the pa.s.s two weeks that Omega is either loosing consciousness or throwing up badly that he can't properly eat a single meal without puking it all out. There are also times that Liam would spend the whole day just sleeping.

"I'm fine don't worry about me." Liam a.s.sured the Alpha. He's wiping some remains on his lips.

"Maybe you leaving your husband is causing you to act like this. Liam you know that it will be hard for a marked Omega to live without their Alphas."

"I can live fine just by myself. Besides this is for the best. Bea can give what I can't give, besides she's the one that Lance love." Liam said with bitterness and pain in his voice. He knows to himself that despite everything that he knew, he still loves Lance. He still felt betrayed but deep inside he can't bring himself to hate his husband. Feeling insecure to what he is lacking he thought that "maybe leaving him is for the best, that he can have a normal family with Bea." Liam was not aware that he had said what he's thinking out loud.

"Wait tell me the truth Liam. Do you still love your husband?" Dexter is already confused with Liam's reason for leaving his husband.

Liam stay silent

"Look at me and answered me truthfully. Do you still love him." Dexter demanded.

"No, I hate him the most for making a fool out of me!" Dexter laughs hard.

"Gosh Liam! You still love that b.a.s.t.a.r.d."

"N-no I don't." Liam insisted.

"Yes you do I can see it in your eyes. One thing that you are not good at is lying and I can see through you." Liam went silent tears starting br.i.m.m.i.n.g in his eyes.

"So what's your reason for leaving and hiding? You asked for my help to hide you from him, not just me but also your in laws. You came prepared asking the help of the others just so you can hide from him. You know well enough that he will come looking for you. So why are you hiding?" Dexter is already weaving the answers but still can't understand his reason for leaving and hiding. Dexter is pretty sure that what happened to Lance and his ex is Liam's primary reason for leaving and Dexter wants to hear it from Liam's mouth.

"D-Dex, I-I can no longer c-conceive a child. R-remember when you asked me what happened to my baby? I-I...." Liam couldn't get to finished what his saying his tears started falling racing from each other. "I lost the child in an accident. T-the accident left a... (Snip) a great damage to my womb... wh-which lower my chances to little to non.... M-me ... me and Lance keep on t-trying b-but we-we failed." Lance felt really week on the knees and just fall sit back to the toilet bowl.

"When I saw t-the news I-I was angry and hurt." Liam look up to Dexter. "It really hurts, b-but I know my h-husband I t-trust him (snip). If I just asked I know he will give me a r-reason b-but I saw this an opportunity to l-let him go so he can have a family that I can't give." Liam already broke down to tears bring both of his hands to his eyes as if it can make his tears stop from falling. "You have n-no I...idea how much i-it hurts to let go of the one you L-love just so he could be h-happy. I-I know for a while now t-tha Bea is the woman he loves for a long time e-even before I came. Me... me..." Liam pointed at himself. "I'm just an inevitable accident he just encountered." Liam cried out loud.

Dexter slap Liam on his face. "Liam did Lance ever obligated you to give him a child?" Liam shook his head no. "Then that's your answer. You don't need a child to be whole. If you love him you fight for him. You don't end things by running away at least give the man a chance to explain himself. You don't just go without a fight and surrender your man to some b.i.t.c.h on a heat!" Dexter hold Liam's face with his both hands.

"It's up to you really. The decision is yours but I just want to give you an advice that once an old friend who I happen to met on the beach, he is also Liam by the way. He told me not to live my life with what ifs and know what? I followed him. I got my heart broken but I'm living without regrets." Dexter embrace Liam who keeps on crying.

But it made him realized that his friend is right. He can't live his life full of regrets and what ifs. So that night Liam made a decision.
