“If you are all going to be gone, I might as well take some time off to visit my hometown as well.” Aunty felt that it was wrong for her to stay and collect her pay when n.o.body was home and there was nothing to do.

“You don’t need to do that, Aunty. Take time off if you need to make a trip back; otherwise, you can stay.” The amount was not significant to Shu Yan.

“I’ve been here for over 6 months already. I would like to pay a visit. I’ll be back a day or two earlier to clean up. It will be fine.” Partly, Aunty felt that it wasn’t right to stay there by herself, partly it was also because she did want to go take a look. She was a little homesick after this long time.

Shu Yan did not insist after Aunty had said that. Rather, she prepared a lot of stuff for Aunty to bring home with her – seafood, meats, fruits, and several boxes of milk, bread, nutritious items, etc. The seafood was gifts from Hu Ruixue. The meats she had bought it herself and they wouldn’t last. The milk, bread and nutritious items were gifts from others during the holidays.

“That’s enough. That’s enough. That’s not right.” Aunty shook her hands when she saw everything that Shu Yan had pulled out.

Her employer was truly nice to her. She was paid on time. Room and board were great. She got red envelopes on holidays and fruits for her daughter all the time. Aunty felt that she wasn’t there as an employee, she was there to enjoy herself.

“It’s fine. My friend booked us soft sleeper.” Feng Zeyu felt that it wasn’t too bad.

Shu Yan called for her children and locked the door behind her. Right then, the door across from them opened up and Lin Hui, who was about to go downstairs and dump the garbage, was taken aback a little when she saw Shu Yan with Feng Zeyu standing next to each other.

“What’s with all the luggage?” She looked over at Feng Zeyu, who was carrying the two big suitcases.

“The kids are out of school so I thought we would take a trip. We need to make our train so we can’t stay and chat. We will bring you back souvenirs. JingJing, Tianbao, say bye-bye to Aunty Hui.” Shu Yan took a bag freely from Feng Zeyu and said, “Let’s go. We are on a schedule.”

Lin Hui recollected herself and followed them with her garbage in hand. They didn’t have much exchange on their way but she observed Shu Yan and Feng Zeyu the entire time. She felt that something was going on between the two of them.

Feng Zeyu’s car was parked in front of the building. Shu Yan opened up the car door naturally and Feng Zeyu picked up the two children and put them inside. He then opened up the door to the pa.s.senger seat, waited attentively for Shu Yan to seat herself before he closed the door and returned to the driver’s side. The two exchanged something in between and Feng Zeyu had a bright smile on him.

Oh, boy! There was definitely something going on between them!

The car whipped around and Shu Yan’s side happened to face Lin Hui. Shu Yan waved at her and said, “We are taking off now. Byee.”
