Kagune. Ghoul's predatory organ and functions as their weapon and claws. Flexible like the low of water, but firm and st.u.r.dy. When released, a ghoul's physique is strengthened, they are more resilient, and their mobility heightens. The kagune are voluntary muscles as ghouls can control them whenever they want and repeatedly harden and soften them at will. Kagune size depends on the Rc cells' quality and quant.i.ty while the shape depends on the creativity and intellect of the user.

Another thing was that only Kagune in this world was capable of delaying healing of ghoul's injuries. Because of this reason, only weapons effective against ghouls are kagune-based quinque as tactical means to battle against ghouls. But to that later.

Lucien has currently recapitulated everything he knew about Kagune from his memory. He needed to remember important information about kagune's cause every one kagune had its own advantages and disadvantages.

The kagune's appearance and the place of emergence on the body depend on the Rc type of the ghoul. There are four different Rc types: Ukaku, Koukaku, Rinkaku, and Bikaku. As a guideline, each type can characteristically subdue another type, although it may be different for two specific opponents. Each Rc type has a set of strengths and weaknesses, each one unique to its type.

An Ukaku (feather-red) is spread out like feathers and is released from the shoulder area, it specializes in high-speed attacks, most of the users seeming to have highly enhanced speed. The kagune is lightweight and can be used to deliver high-speed attacks against an adversary, the primary method of attack is crystallizing their kagune to deliver a high-speed torrent of spike-like projectiles, however, whilst crystallized they are much stiffer and cannot be used for short range combat; at least one ukaku-type can generate powerful lightning-like bolts, a possible rare ability. While the kagune is suited both for short-distance and long-distance attacks, short-range is considered their weakness. Another weakness more important was that releasing RC Cells depletes stamina. Thus, ukaku-type users lack endurance and are at a disadvantage if the battle drags on for a long time. Examples were Kirishima siblings Ayato and Touka. Especially Kirishima Ayato who was extremely strong SS Rated ghoul with Ukaku.

Another type was Koukaku (sh.e.l.l-red) is released below the shoulder blade. Due to its high density of Rc cells, it is heavy and extremely robust, giving it the greatest st.u.r.diness and making them very well suited for defense. Normally, they are generally shaped into armors or shields, but on the offense, they can be shaped like melee weapons such as drills, hammers, blades, and swords. Due to its high weight, a koukaku's speed is inferior to all other Rc types and the kagune is difficult to wield.

Example of this was Gourmet Tsukiyama Shuu or Donato Porpora the Priest who was very dangerous SS Rated ghoul. He was detached for a very long time in Cochlea Prison before he escaped when Kaneki Ken killed Arima Kishou during Third Cochlea Raid.

Bikaku (tail-red) typically has a tail-like appearance and is released around the tail-bone/coccyx. It is good for medium-distance attacks and has a decent offense, defense, and speed. Thus, they have no notable strengths or weaknesses like the kagune based on other Rc types, meaning the kagune itself is treated as a surprise "trump card." The number of tails a bikaku user can create is usually one, but some can create more. A bikaku has better speed and durability against the brute-force, breakable rinkaku, allowing them to cut off the rinkaku's kagune. However, a bikaku will be overwhelmed by the faster ukaku-user and will lose against the ukaku's long-range attacks. For example Nishio Nishiki, Serpent had bikaku and was at least S~ Rated.

And finally last type of kagune which Lucien considered as most powerful. Rinkaku (scale-red) has an appearance similar to scaled tentacles and is released at the back around the waist. A rinkaku wielder has powerful regenerative abilities and some could even survive the most critical of damage. Its peculiar appearance and structure yield a superior striking power and they excel in brute strength. Some rinkaku users are able to manipulate the shape of their kagune, such as changing its usual tentacle form into swords or claws. Most of the dangerous ghouls as Oomori Yak.u.mo better known as Jason, Kamishiro Rize knows as Binge Eater or Kaneki Ken had this type of kagune.

But this kagune had weakness and that was thanks to its regenerative powers which is a result of the Rc cells easily binding together. Their Rc cells are similar to liquid. However, this means that the binding force among the Rc cells is weak, therefore making the kagune very soft and easy to break. But because their Rc cells bind so easily, some rinkaku can bind their multiple tentacle-like kagune together to make a larger, stronger kagune. So far the number of tentacles that rinkaku users can create are from one to eight tentacles.

But Lucien knew that this wasn't his problem because his RC Cells as cells of Sacred Devourer Ghoul were far much stronger compared to the ordinary ghoul. So it could be said that his kagune of rinkaku type was as hard as bikaku which gave him unprecedented strength.

Currently, he was waiting for his father to come and teach him how to fight as a ghoul. The family had some kind of ancient martial arts developed specially for ghouls, how to fight using their kagune most effective way and don't use just brute force as was a trend nowadays.

As he looked at his record he was a little bit disappointed that he can't cultivate in future any other type of energy because of his race and bloodline. His bloodline was devouring any time of energy that he came to contact with. The only exception was psionic energy because he was born with it already but he still didn't know how to use Divine Telekinesis. He still didn't even awakened his telekinesis ability. He was already thinking about what will his third wish be but he decided to wait for some time.

But even though he was pretty satisfied. He had Body Refining Cultivation as the main type of cultivation system and this was a very powerful system. Most people in the universe only cultivated energies but totally forgotten about cultivating their bodies. Lucien had extremely formidable body cultivation method and he even had psionic power as energy cultivation, though he didn't even know how to cultivate it.

" I would probably need some kind of cultivation method to increase my psionic powers. It was already more than 10 years and my psionic powers didn't increase even by one point which is rather sad. The only choice would be visiting some world which had developed many psionic power users and so has many cultivation techniques or to which something like cultivation technique from Administrator of Akashic Records. Considering that leaving this world is now and in the near future impossible only second option remains as a possible choice."

Lamented Lucien in a weak voice as he was laying on the ground of the training field as he was waiting for his parents.

Meanwhile, his mother was walking in a great mood towards the study room of her husband, Asmodeus to inform him about the great talents of Lucien and start his combat training already.
