"Young master, is something wrong?" The mercenaries were confused. Had they overdone the laughter? Maybe it had been too fake… They looked at each other as Mu Li's cold eyes swept over them.

"No, they wouldn't dare…" Mu Li shook his head and said, "You all may leave…"

"Goodnight, young master!" The squad leaders respectfully backed out of his tent as they left.

"Wait!" Mu Li called out. He pointed at the last mercenary and said softly, "Ji Kuang, I want to talk to you…" Waved his hand, he dismissed the other squad leaders and said, "Everyone else can return to their positions! Notify me immediately if the Fairy Doctor makes any moves…"

After everyone had left, Ji Kuang stepped forward and said, "Sir Mu, is something the matter?" He swept his eyes over the Young Company Leader and forced himself to smile respectfully.

"Ji Kuang, I trust you the most out of all the men my father has given me. Therefore, I will a.s.sign you the task monitoring that 2-star Dou Zhe…" Mu Li smiled and patted Ji Kuang's shoulder.

"Sir Mu, you can rest a.s.sured that I will complete the task you have a.s.signed me," Ji Kuang's face changed when Mu Li's hand touched his shoulder. He gripped the hidden dagger in his sleeve and gritted his teeth as he flattered his superior.

"…You can go now," Mu Li frowned as he dismissed Ji Kuang. He had felt it again. Someone was targeting him and had the intention to kill him. "It must be my imagination…" He rubbed his temple and muttered, "I need to sleep more these days…"
