Her name was Irene Allison. She was a beautiful woman in her twenties with two charming hazel eyes and curly brown hair, an aspiring actress that wanted to improve her reputation through her bewitching voice. Unfortunately, it wasn't easy for someone to become an entertainer in this world.
"Irene? Can I come inside?" an impatient voice sounded outside of her room. The young woman didn't even have the chance to answer as a white-haired man entered without hesitation. He was the person that she hated more than anyone in the world, as well as, her foster father, Morris Allison.
"I have told you to wait for me to..."
"Shut up! I don't want to listen to your bulls.h.i.t! Count Boyce is waiting for your company. As long as you satisfy him, there is a slim chance that he will let you sing at his son's birthday party. You have one hour!" Morris interjected and proceeded to leave.
"I want to be an actress, not a bard. I don't want to sell my body either!" the young woman shouted tearfully, but a big slap on her face made her fall on the floor.
"I didn't ask for your opinion. It is your honor that a great man like Count Boyce found an interest in your body..." the man said as he tore her clothes off. He looked with l.u.s.t at her naked body, but he restrained with difficulty his desire.
"You are lucky that I have sold your virginity at a good price or I would educate you right now..." he said as he spat on her face and then he left.
'Is this my fate because I was an orphan or because I was born a woman? No, it's because of both of them...' Irene thought as she continued weeping loudly. She didn't stop until her swollen eyes noticed a sharp item under a pile of clothes. She recalled that it was the knife that she was using in one of her roles. Before long, the young girl was holding tightly the cold steel weapon, ready to stab her heart.
"You disappoint me..." a young voice suddenly sounded, socking her to the core. Irene immediately turned her head to face the intruder, only to see a fourteen years old boy. The sight of the youth calmed her down, but she couldn't help than remark mockingly.
"What do you know about me. You are just a boy. You know nothing about the world."
"If you think that your s.e.x is the reason for your problems, then you are the ignorant one..." John replied with a small smile. The young woman would normally scorn the youth's words, but since she was emotionally messed up today, she paid attention to what he said.
"Tell me then why nothing good has ever happened to me!" Irene screamed.
"It's because you are weak. The law of the jungle didn't stop to exist because humans started building houses or wearing clothes. It's still a world where the strongest survives. If you want to live your life the way you desire, you have to fight for this right. Then you'll discover the most priceless treasure that has ever existed. The only thing that it's worth someone's sacrifice. "
"The most priceless treasure?" She asked in a daze.
"It's called freedom. Once you taste it, you can never live without it anymore..." the brown-haired boy answered.
"Freedom..." the woman muttered the unknown word that she had never heard before.
"It's when you have the right of choice. How you'll live or die can be decided by no one other than you. If you want to stop being a slave of your fate and take back what belongs to you, then it's time for you to fight. What you'll choose? I can show you the way if you do something for me..." John said as he stretched out his arm.
Irene fell silent for a moment. She felt an instinctive fear towards the unknown, but also excitement. For the first time, she could see in front of her a brighter world than the one she resided. She raised her hand timidly and grasped the only hope that she had ever found in her life.

Meanwhile, in a big room, a man was drinking unstoppably red wine with several females in his company. He was groping the women and laughing simultaneously when suddenly a knocking sound interrupted his fun.
"Who is it?" he shouted angrily.
"It's me, Morris. May I enter sir?" the white-haired man asked politely.
"Oh, it's you who sold me your daughter. Come inside..." Count Boyce replied.
Morris entered hesitantly and gracefully genuflected toward the n.o.ble. He kept his head lowered, not daring to meet the eyes of the man.
"It seems you are familiar with interacting with n.o.bles. Well, where is the girl?" he asked impatiently.
"She is preparing herself to entertain you, sir. In a few minutes, she'll be here."
"If she isn't a virgin, you'll lose your head. Don't forget!" the count warned sternly.
"Of course. I wouldn't dare, sir." Morris replied with fear.
"All of you can leave. I have a special guest for this night." the n.o.ble said to the women with excitement.

"Who is it?"
"It's me, sir. Irene Alisson..." a melodious voice was heard. The man had already informed the knights that were guarding him to distance themselves from the room.
"You are finally here. Enter!"
When the woman appeared in front of his eyes, Boyce was stunned. She was wearing a seductive nightdress that was making the curves of her body even more alluring and was also showcasing her rich blossom.
The count was about to rush at her, but the soft words of the girl made him hold back.
"Can we drink a little before we proceed. I am a little shy since it's my first time." Irene said with whimsicality.
"Hahahaha! Of course, let me bring the wine..." he answered with a hearty laugh.
"No, my Lord. Allow me today to fully serve you..." the young woman interjected as she winked at him.
Boyce watched at her l.u.s.tfully as he waited for her. He couldn't wait to hear her screams when he would take her to the bed. As he was imagining the scenes that would soon follow, a gla.s.s of wine appeared suddenly in front of him.
"Let's make a toast, my Lord!" Irene proposed.
"Okay. Let's drink to our future..." he said impatiently.
"To our future then!" she shouted and drank the wine unhesitantly. The count also followed her actions and raised his gla.s.s. When he swallowed the liquor, a strange dizziness started to affect him.
"That boy told me that that the poison he gave me acts immediately. How do you feel, my Lord?" she asked curiously.
The man tried to talk, but his mouth had become numb. He wanted to stand up, but he couldn't move a muscle. In less than a minute, he took his last breath. Until the very end, he didn't even have the chance to say his last words.
"Men really become stupid when they are involved with women..." the young actress muttered with some amazement.
