"I don't want to do that, but it's the only thing I can do.
I hear your breathing, it's heavy. Sigh.
"Let's just get started.
I tear the tip of my index finger with my prey, then I take his mouth and let two drops fall. Vampire blood has a healing effect on humans, I am not sure, but it cannot be used exaggeratedly, the human can become a hybrid between the two races with the abuse.
"Where... Where is Alicia?" The girl talks while she coughs.

Speaking of the third person? So that kind of person really exists. Maybe it's because I'm in another world? No, probably the fault of the otakus G.o.ds, that's the only explanation that comes to mind.
She opens her eyes and turns to me. When she saw me she tried to go backwards, but hit her back on the edge of the boat, which was very small.
"Who... Who are you?" She's terrified, she talks almost crying.
"Stay calm, I..." I try to talk, but I can't.
She puts her hands on her head and covers her ears while shouting 'No, no, please, I didn't do anything'. That way I won't be able to talk to her. Or worse, the boat could end up turning the way she's swinging.
I concentrate, I feel my vision get sharper, their beats are accelerated, but I can hear each one, as if the world were in slow motion. Such is the junction of my vampire senses and the focus of the lv hunter 2.
"Mental control." I'm using skill for the first time.
When the level of mental control is at its maximum, one can put someone under total control, but mine is still very weak, at this stage it is something like hypnosis. I'm going to ask the person to do something, it can't be something that hurts them, if it's just that they won't do it, it can't be anything too complex like multiple orders.
But what's the best way to use it? Maybe somebody would tell her to stay still, but how do you make someone desperate to stay still? Think, a person shouting for help because someone is persecuting you, then someone tries to cover his mouth, to thus cease his shouts. Anyone would resist. The case here is similar, she's scared. What I have to do is simple, she must remain calm. Keeping calm helps us in times of tension, probably the brain will recognize it as something beneficial.
"Stay calm." I try to talk to her slowly and slowly.
Simple and direct words, so the order will be received more easily.
"I, I..." Your breathing starts to get lighter.
I wait a little longer, that way she'll be able to recover completely.
"My name is Ioan, I'm sorry to bring you to this boat." I speak slowly, I'm still afraid control will fail. "I found you in the middle of the sea, you were weak and I decided to help you."
I try to look as natural as possible so I don't scare her. Alicia seems to be thinking about what had happened, after hearing that she had healed her, she examines her body. Places where they had superficial wounds were now perfectly fine, some deeper wounds were not fully healed.
"Did you heal Alicia?" She says she's impressed.
"Yes, I healed you," I answer.
"How?" The girl asks.
It didn't look like she was suspicious, she just wanted to know how. But why did she have to ask that right away?
"Oh, yeah..." I try to look less embarra.s.sed. I'm sorry about that. I'm a vampire, I gave you a small amount of my blood, a cure is activated that way."
"I see." He seemed pretty calm right now.
I wonder if the skill was very effective.
"I apologize for the problems caused by Alicia." He says, lowering his head.
A girl with good manners.
"Don't worry." I answer by asking you to raise your head. "More important than that, why was he in the middle of the sea?"
She keeps quiet, maybe something hard to say.
"Actually, Alicia..." The girl starts talking, but she seems to be afraid to talk.
"You don't have to force yourself to say it if you don't want to." I say.
"Since Alicia was saved..." She looks at me. "Alicia will tell."
Just as I thought, Alicia had the demonic disease. It was from a family of good living in a village on the human continent. However, her village is under the domination of a church that abhors demonic races, when she contracted the disease she was discriminated against and judged as a partner of the demons. After that he ran away and had the help of several people on his way, there is a rumor that there is a cure for the disease in the demonic continent. So she went into a boat as a stowaway, then stole a boat from them.
"It must have been very difficult." I say.
"Yes..."
Feeling sorry for someone is not right, at least that is how I think it is, she went through all of this with her powers, feeling sorry would be to underestimate her achievements. I went through similar things in my old life, although I wasn't as young as she was, so I decided to treat her as an equal. But there's something even worse.
"I'm sorry if I told you that." I bite my lips. "But there is no cure."
"Doesn't it exist?" His eyes are filled with tears with the news.
"Easy, easy..." I try to calm her down. "That doesn't mean you're gonna die."
"Will Alicia survive?" She asks by wiping her face.
This is difficult to say, not even vampires, a race that seeks knowledge, managed to cure someone with demonic disease, but there is a treatment that stretches the person's life span.
"First let me explain to you about the demonic disease." Humans know almost nothing. "It is only called that by humans, these marks on your body are called, by us, as marks of power. When someone has a lot of demonic power these marks appear."
"Demonic power?" She seemed confused.
Maybe it's hard to explain that to a child, but I'm gonna give it my all.
"It's the power we demonic races use. That power is in nature, it's absorbed by us as well as magic. People who absorb much of this power earn these marks." I explain.
Unfortunately, humans shouldn't be able to absorb that.
"Can Alicia live normally?" She asks.
"Yes and no."
She gets discouraged again, but I keep talking fast.
"Humans can't stand that much demonic power like this." She lowers her head with my explanation. "But there is a way, you must be close to someone who can also absorb that power. That way instead of going to you the other person will get it."
"Alicia understands..." she responds by focusing her gaze on me.
It was like she wanted to say something.
"If you want to say something, just say it." I do.
"Alicia could..." talks about looking at me a little more. "Could you stay with Ioan?"
I introduced myself as a vampire, she had come to the conclusion that I was someone who could help her, so that I could absorb the power in her place.
"I thought of that possibility too, but..." I'm starting to talk.
"But?" The girl's tone of voice increases, probably out of fear.
You're afraid I'll refuse.
"Is everything really okay with me?" I ask. "Wouldn't that be bad? I'm a person you don't know."
"Alicia thinks Ioan is a good person." She starts talking. "Alicia met many people, many good and many bad. One person said, "You'll meet good people in the future. Ioan is one of those good people."
She had someone who marked her that way. I feel like we're more and more alike. I can't abandon a little girl, especially when she says something like that, right?
"So, let's be buddies." I speak by reaching out my hand. "Right?"
"Fellas!" She talks loudly while she shakes my hand.
~ 2 days later
We spent two days rowing until we saw a small island. I have to make a stop. If it were just me, I could get through all the way, but Alicia is human. How many days doesn't she eat? We also need water somehow. Unfortunately, I don't have that in my backpack.
"Let's stop at this island, you need to rest a little" I say rowing towards the island.
"Alicia's fine." She's trying to say.
I can hear your stomach snoring. That was your answer. Your face turns red.
"Don't worry, I need to rest too, I'm tired" I say.
"Okay." She talks discouraged.
Maybe he understood I was trying to comfort her.
We've arrived on the island. It should have just over five kilometers of radius, I don't know if it's big or small for an island. We stopped at a beach, outside the beach the island was full of trees, so dense that I couldn't see what was inside.
"Alicia wanted so much land," he says finally getting off the boat.
She should have been at sea a long time ago.
"Just stay away from the forest for now" I say pulling the boat to the beach. "We don't know if there's anything there."
"Okay!" answers cheerfully.
I mark a tree, it was the direction we had to go to reach the human continent. After that I went back to the boat, Alicia had taken off her shoe and was with her feet in the sand.
"Alicia always wanted to visit the beach," she says when she sees me.
She's still a child yet.
"Why don't we stick around for a while? I also want to store some food for us," I say.
In the two days we've been through, I've avoided giving her blood. His injuries healed completely the second time, but I didn't feel confident in doing it again, even though it helps with hunger and thirst.
"Let's start fishing," I say looking out to sea. "It'll be trouble without equipment." I sigh, I have a lot to do.
