When she did so she finished up the conversation with the mother and went to head out the door, but once again just as she was about to leave the mother stopped her again. "My boy might be a bit worried if you leave and he may worry you didn't get home safe. If you want I can lend you the spare room for the night so that your not in any danger" she said.
After a little bit of thought Qu chose to accept the offer, seeing that she had never actually slept in a bed before. So she was soon directed to the spare room, after the mother closed the door Qu then stripped down and jumped into bed.
It was a lot more comfy and a lot more warm than sleeping on the floor, in fact it was such a difference that she didn't even sit and talk to the system like she usually did as she near enough instantly fell asleep.
When she finally woke up she was greeted to Keno looking over her, seemingly about to wake her up.
She quickly said h.e.l.lo to the boy and pulled her covers off and went to get changed. But when she jumped out off bed it seemed to startle the boy and his face lit up bright red once again before he rushed out of the room.
But she just ignored it and got changed, when she walked out off the room she asked the time and it seemed she had around 3 hours before she would have to teach Goreg again.
After thanking the mother for letting her stay she swiftly left the house before the mother tried to start hinting at them having a relationship or before she made her stay longer than she wanted to.
When she left the house she went straight towards the woods, when she got deep enough inside she stripped down and folded her clothes on the floor before starting to practice her magic again.
Like last time she put up her aura as well as pushing her flames as high as they could go and sat on the ground and allowed mana to flow into her while maintaining this state.
After two hours had pa.s.sed she finally stopped with the exercise, as her energy was starting to run a little lower that she like, she currently had around 20 in the tank and that was it.
Then once she turned off her state she put her clothes back on and checked her progress. After her exercise she had hit 99% completion to the next rank, it seemed she had now hit the wall that Keno had talked about.
----
"Due to use of magic, 'energy' has now been labelled as 'mana' and is now independent of your stamina. But I cant be bothered to make a stamina bar so this will have to do"
----
After this little update she checked her status again and indeed the energy tab was now labelled mana and now its max was now at 110 so it had only decreased by 10.
A thought then hit her, "system, how do I break past the barrier to go from common to uncommon rank"
After a couple of seconds of no answer her system finally showed itself again.
----
"To break past this so called barrier, your understanding of your fire must increase. This can be done through practice and learning more properties of the fire and how to better controle it, read up on the element and learn more about it, Or begin to shape your element and nuture it to how you would like it to act in the future."
...
"And by that I mean if you want your fire to shape into animals, be hot, cold. You could possibly make it act as a solid, liquid or gas depending."
----
So it seemed to Qu that she had to use her fire more, learn about it and develop it if she wants to boost her power.
So she put her clothes back on and started to head back to town, as by the time she gets there she will have around 30 minuets before she has to teach again.
The whole way back tot own she continued to play around with the flames on her hands, just slightly moving it and manipulating it, trying to learn as much as possible about how it acts and works.
When she finally reached town again she started to head straight to Goregs house, as it wouldn't be long before she would have to start teaching him anyway.
Once she reached the house she knocked on the door and was swiftly let in and was told to go to Goregs room to teach.
So she headed straight to his room and sat on the floor while she waited for Goreg to come inside. A few minuets later he came into the room and she quickly began teaching him.
The first thing she did was tell him to try and manipulate his shadow smoke, which he swiftly did so. It seemed that he had gotten better at it over the time between there lesson, so he had most likely been practising.
After doing this for a little bit Qu then asked him what his percentage was at, which he then responded with 59%, which confirmed that he had definitely been practising.
After asking this she then went to try and give the boy more of a challenge, seeing that his magic was shadow manipulation, she then asked him to try and manipulate his shadow.
Goreg then began to concentrate, and after a little a bit of effort she saw his shadow slightly wobble and distort slightly before it snapped back to its original form.
"That's what happens when I try to do it, I try to shift my shadow about but it just slightly wobbles and goes back into place." He told her.
But near instantly Qu already knew what he was doing wrong, "Your problem is that your trying to shift it all. When I use my fire I focus on a section and change one section not all of it at once. What you should do is grab a chunk of it like a hand and only focus on that and nothing else." she informed him.
After being told this the boy instantly went back to having a face of concentration, and after a little while the hand of his shadow started to morph outwards and started to stretch further than what should be possible.
But after a couple of seconds the boy broke concentration and the hand shifted around for a couple of seconds before snapping back. But the positives were that not only was he able to considerably change his hand, but after he stopped focusing on it, it took more time for it to go back to its original state.
She then asked the boy his percentage, and after morphing his hand like that it jumped all the way to 68%.
But unfortunately it seemed doing this cost him a lot of mana and they had to cancel the rest of the lesson for today, due to his mana being near enough sapped dry.
After telling the boys mother his progress, she left the house and began to walk down to the tavern, where she would either grab a new request or chat with Keno if he was there.
