in his past life he had been an expert on human anatomy and genetics and had in fact modified his own body's structure so as to be even more absurd and such, so decided to "evolve" in himself in this life as well. he used his psychic powers to alter his own D.N.A. and induced specific mutations on himself. if all goes well, they should become apparent as he develops and grows.

all that's left is to finally get out of this place.

-2 Days Later-

"AAAAAAGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Raven screamed in excruciating pain as she kept pushing and pushing with all her might.

"C'mon Ray!" said Michael as he held onto her hand "You can do this, just a little bit more-Arghh!- he exclaimed as she tightened her grip on his hand (which just so happened to be her sword hand).

around the room they were in were various nurses and doctors working fervently to insure all goes well in this process, they were being paid good money for this after all. there was even a magician on standby so as to make sure nothing goes wrong.

finally, the nurse waiting at the bottom of the saw the baby coming out and started gently prodding him out.

-Adrien's POV-

'MAN this painful, to hear and experience' thought he, recalling some of the times he was on the other end of this in certain emergencies during his trip around the world.

'Alright finally! AAH! It's bright! Oh... but how missed light' he thought once he finally got out onto the waiting hands of the nurse "outside" and finally saw the world for the first time in months.

"Congratulations Ma'am" he heard nurse say, as she scanned over the baby "It's a boy."

Adrien then got pa.s.sed around as he was cleaned, and got his umbilical cord snipped and tied. before being pa.s.sed over to the magician in the room.

the magician then used some form of healing spell to repair the cut off cord, leaving nothing but smooth skin on his lower belly.

'Well s.h.i.t.' he began as he watched the process 'That's convenient. Almost thought I'd have to do it myself.' he thought, recalling that in his previous life that there were machines and Espers that could do this, though only the rich could afford this.

they then tried to get him to cry "Strange" the doctor began in mild worry "He's not crying. He's not even flinching at all!" exclaimed the doctor as he tried to get a reaction out of the boy.

'Really?' thought Adrien 'Despite the clear signs of life I'm showing, you're still trying to do this?'

he then looked around the room. noting that he still had his synesthesia as he could still see peoples minds but also noting he could see others peoples souls too now 'Interesting. Seems my synesthesia also evolved to see magical energies as well. This should prove useful.' thought Adrien before his eyes stopped on the forms of his parents.

he then did something absolutely crazy and started floating towards his father before dropping himself in his waiting, bewildered arms and started reaching out to Michaels face

[Levitation] was the power he used, a simple thing for most Espers. Of course, it's still surprises most everyone in the room when a baby born scant few minutes suddenly started floating towards his father. Then he does something even more outrageous.

"Da... ddaa... d" Adrien tried to say as he tried to get his barely developed vocals to work again "Dada... DADA!" he sounded adorable

"...! "Sufficed to say Michael was shocked. Here was his newborn, suddenly floating towards him and saying his first words the same hour he was born. Talk about a shocker

"... Hey there little one" he began as Adrien kept calling out to him "That's right. I'm your dada." cooed Micheal as he held his child close

"... Hey.. let me see him" Adrien heard his mother say, before his father carried him over and put him in her arms. "Hey there... son.." she greeted tired yet cheerfully

"Mama..." he responded, and he saw her visibly brighten up at hearing him.

"That's right..." she said as she smiled down at him

needless to say the others in the room were shocked, who wouldn't be after all. a baby they just saw get born seemingly just used magic to float towards his parents before suddenly starting to speak

it would not take long for rumours to spread across the empire

-2 days later, Arcadian capital-

within the capital of the empire in an undisclosed location, several key figures had just gotten a report from a darkly robed agent.

these figures were all very distinct but had key details in common. they all wore extravagant clothes, and they were all adorned with glittering jewels. these were clear ringers of n.o.bility.

"...! Are you sure it's authenticity, agent?" the person at the head of the table asked

"Yes, my king." was the immediate reply "We confirmed it through mage present then. We scryed his mind just to be sure."

"I see..." was all that was said before the rest suddenly broke into hushed whispers and murmurs before they turned towards the king "My liege, what shall we do?" asked one them

"For now, nothing. Agent, I want you to set up a watch in that town. Observe the boy, see if he display anymore acts of a similar nature, and report them immediately. Understood?"

"Yes, your majesty." the robed agent then went and disappeared into the shadows

"My king." began one of the figures, a woman with a very... exotic choice of attire "What of that boy when he grows up? No doubt if the report is true then he'll most likely become a powerful magician. What then?"

"I say he joins he joins the )Magus Guild(." began one of the figures. an aged balding man with a long beard braided with beads that still would almost reach the floor "The fact that he can already speak would suggest a natural intellect. I'm sure with us he'll be pivotal in the evolution of magic, he may even revive the lost )Ancient Magics(."

"I say he joins the )Adventurers Guild(." countered a pink haired woman wearing a toga "With that kinda talent, he'll make a most excellent adventurer and make some great accomplishment among'st us."

"How about the )Church(." suggested a middle aged saintly man with a rather... suggestive hat on his head "Clearly this a child blessed by the heavens. He may even be another )Hero( in the making"

"NO! I say he joins-" "I think he'd do good in-" "-join the army!-" "-he must-"

the king had just about enough before he gestured for silence. they all immediately calmed down before he issued his commands "We will leave that boy alone for now. We shall watch his development and see where he goes from here on out. I've no doubt he'll grow into something great, but before then we shall merely observe, and if necessary, protect him." the king proclaimed as his voice echoed across the room "We must handle this carefully. For if we make a mistake then that boy may very well become the next )Dark Lord(." this got an immediate reaction out of everyone as they imagined the potential ramifications of their plans "We must observe carefully and ensure that he never has reason turn over to the dark side. Should we succeed we may even see the next coming of the Ozcar. Now, I declare this meeting, adjourned! You are all dismissed." Was his final declaration before he stood up and walked out of there.

quickly following his example, the rest followed suit. but some of them still had plans of sending agents to "observe" that boy, as they all went their separate ways.
