'Why can't I see? I can't feel anything at all.'

'Okay think. What was the last thing you can remember. I had just returned home and was gonna hit the sack then I fell face-first on my mattress and woke up like this.'

'Alright let's figure where in the h.e.l.l I am first. I'm not restrained or anything like that it seems but I feel vaguely like I'm suspended or something. lets try divining where I am then.'

'... ... ... WHAT THE s.h.i.t?!?! I can't see anything! That's impossible! There can't be any tech capable of restraining my psychic powers or obscuring my "minds eye" but somehow there is. Okay okay calm down, let's check just how they managed this.'

'... WHAT? how in the- when did- why would- okay. So they somehow managed to return my ESP to a state of infancy.'

'... Well s.h.i.t. This is gonna take a while to reactivate and even longer to cultivate to my previous level. d.a.m.n, that's like 83 years of progress just gone. Well better get to it I guess. Thankfully it seems my "hosts" are in no rush and maybe distracted by something. Hopefully I have enough time to reconnect my psychic array. BUT! At least this means I can finally try out that new coil pattern I had drawn up. Should be far more efficient both in capacity and production.'

'Alright there we are annnnnddd DONE! Finally! That was excruciating but I finally got it done. And I even managed to modify it. This new "coil" pattern should be far more efficient in terms of both generation and capacity, though might strain the mind, but I should be able to handle it -probably-.'

'Now just to cause a pulse and that should kick-start the new array though should probably suppress it so as to not alert my captors, though now that I think about it. where are they?'

outside the suspension chamber is a scene found commonly in fantasy settings of novels and games. A "starter town" so to speak where the hero usually hails from and where his adventures would start.

In this town on the eastern fringe is a modest two story house that would have been right at home at medieval times . With cobbled stones for foundation, logs for support with wooden archways and a well kept garden surrounded by a simple picket fence.

Inside the house were two residents. A good looking man that could probably be in a boy band and be really popular with smooth crown of matte black hair and striking dark colored eyes. With him is a tall woman with snow white hair and ruby red eyes who had just been relaxing and gently caressing a round protrusion, a clear sign of pregnancy.

The woman had just been relaxing when she felt a surge of something ominous and the man about it.

"Hey dear, did you feel something just now?"

"No I did not." Was his immediate reply "Why? Is something the matter?" He asked in concern

"Really? I could've sworn I felt something" She worried

"Don't worry honey. It was probably just your imagination." He said, a.s.suaging her concern

"Yeah.. It's probably just my imagination."
