The silver warrior jumped further back and stood next to the bald-headed man, "Brother, he can use some kind of magic that can make you see things. Be careful, don't look into his eyes!"

"I understand. We will attack him together, do you still remember your training?"

"Of course!"

"Good."

He quickly relayed the same instructions to the golden warrior as they prepared to attack from all sides.

Hao Xuan was trying to stop the bleeding but for whatever reason the wound wasn't closing. As the silver and golden warriors rotated around to get into their positions, the bald-headed man tried to distract him.

"It won't work. Any wound caused by my blade will not heal for three days and three nights. Give up right now and beg for Lord Dai Zhi's mercy, you might still have a chance."

But Hao Xuan spat at his feet in contempt, "f.u.c.k your lord, I will have his head soon enough."

"You impudent little p.i.s.sant!"

The bald-headed man was angry but not to the extent to lose his grip on reality, unlike Hao Xuan who was teetering on the very edge. Upon seeing the golden and silver warrior getting into a three-p.r.o.nged formation he became even angrier-

"I'LL KILL ALL OF YOU!" and rushed straight in.

His target was the golden warrior who was the closest.

Hao Xuan didn't need a weapon, he alone was enough. The air shrieked as his burning fist shot towards the golden warrior's head.

But instead of running in to help, both the silver warrior and the bald-headed man waited patiently until Hao Xuan was exactly in the middle of them.

"NOW!" he shouted while raising his hand in unison with the silver warrior.

A shield materialized in front of each of them and the devastating power behind Hao Xuan's fist was distributed to all three shields making them crack.

The bald-headed man raised his blade with a roar, "ATTACK!"

He was the first to get to Hao Xuan but even though his sword cut right through him there wasn't any resistance.

"AFTERIMAGE!" he yelled while turning on his heels towards the silver warrior who was standing face to face with Hao Xuan.

Hao Xuan threw a punch right at his face, using even more strength than before.

"TAKE IT AND COUNTER!" the golden warrior shouted from the distance. His shield also appeared in front of the silver warrior along with the one belonging to the baldy.

With three cracked shields to stop the incoming attack, the silver warrior had no choice but to accept their plan. He gave up on defending and instead countered with a sword slash of his own, aiming for Hao Xuan's heart.

Hao Xuan's fist landed, immediately destroying the first shield upon impact. The second shield held for barely an instant before meeting the same fate but the last shield managed to hold on until the end.

Silver warrior's exquisite swordplay bypa.s.sed Hao Xuan's defenses and struck right into his chest, piercing through with some effort.

Blood spurted from Hao Xuan's mouth as he tried to put some distance between them but the bald-headed man was like a leech. He sneaked up from behind with a wide horizontal strike.

Hao Xuan pulled his arms back before reinforcing them with Chaos Qi to block his attack but at the very last second the broadsword changed directions and snaked to the back of his legs, cleanly cutting off the Achilles tendons in one fell swoop.

"ARGH!"

Hao Xuan struck down with both fists, managing to land a clean hit on the bald-headed man.

He rotated several times in mid-air to offset all the force behind his punches before landing several meters away.

"Oof, that was a close one. Almost got hit in there," he joked seeing Hao Xuan's worsening condition.

"I wanted to take you back in one piece but killing doesn't seem too bad of a choice right now. I'll just say you slipped and fell onto my blade in the pouring rain."

Hao Xuan didn't even have time to respond before he came flying in again with the golden warrior in tow.

But the silver warrior remained rooted to the ground while mumbling to himself, "Rain...why is it still raining? Wait, the prisoner! Where is the girl?! THE PRISONER IS-"

Realizing something was a miss he tried to warn them about the prisoner escaping but saw both the bald-headed man and the golden warrior just a few meters away, their blades aiming at nothing but empty air.

"LET ME TAKE HIS HEAD!" the bald-headed man shouted in excitement, already planning to get his hands on the trophy.

·ƈθm But Hao Xuan was ready for the attack and immediately jumped to the side. The broadsword followed suit and was surrounded by its golden aura as it cut Hao Xuan's entire shoulder off.

The golden warrior did the same, using his ma.s.sive greatsword to cleave Hao Xuan in half from the abdomen.

"NO! STOP!"

The silver warrior screamed at the top of his lungs but it was too late already.

The golden warrior spurted out several mouthfuls of blood while the bald-headed man fell to the ground in two clean pieces.
