Chapter 118 - Savior
Lex left and Hao Xuan and Ming talked about a few other things. Ming explained a few things about the weapons and their types and gave him a lot of new information. About 25 minutes later there was a knock on the door.
"Come in," Ming shouted and a lady in a yellow dress entered.
"Elder, the guests are here," she said with a bow.
"Great, bring them in," Ming clapped once but the lady didn't leave and seemed to be hesitating, trying to say something.
Ming frowned, "What? Speak freely."
"It- the guests are um, too big to be able to enter the room, so they are waiting outside," she stammered, not knowing how to say that without offending them.
Hao Xuan smacked his head, "Ah, I forgot. Well, it's fine anyway. I can just use the portal to place the order. Do you need anything other than the weapon spirit embryo?" he took out the embryo and gave it to Ming.
"You're leaving so soon? Well, let me know if you need anything else. From now on you can simply show your VIP token at the front desk and they will take care of you. As for the Glaive, I will need a bit of your blood so it can recognize you as its owner when it's made," Ming also stood up and patted Hao Xuan's shoulder.
Hao Xuan filled a small bottle that Ming pa.s.sed him with blood and left with the group. Ming escorted them to the front desk where he saw two figures towering over everyone in the hall.
They looked like normal humans, only much larger. Both of them had black suits on and looked very professional. And with their deadly auras, they looked like hitmen for hire.
"Master!" they bowed at once as soon as Hao Xuan came into view, leaving everyone shocked. The aura that was leaking out from their bodies vanished like smoke. Even Ming who had seen a lot was taken by surprise.
Sixth hadn't seen them before either and could tell they were both extremely strong. He looked over at Hao Xuan with newfound respect, "How did Ninth brother get such amazing underlings? I must know the secret!" he thought inwardly.
"Rise. You don't have to bow every time you see me," Hao Xuan waved his hand and both of them stood up straight.
"As Master wishes," they lowered their heads respectfully, leaving Hao Xuan stumped. He was much younger than them and much smaller. So them showing this much respect to him just seemed ludicrous in others' eyes.
Green stretched out his ma.s.sive hand handed over his Spirit band.
"Did you get everything you wanted?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes," they pulled back their sleeves and huge black Spirit Bands could be seen. They were bigger than Hao Xuan's entire head and looked more like gigantic gauntlets.
On their fingers were rings as big as Hao Xuan's wrists.
He nodded upon seeing, "I am actually surprised you got them this quickly. I thought it would take them some time to make some that were suitable for you guys," he mumbled while looking over the rings.
Ming laughed when he heard that, "Haha, brother this is Fortuna city. Races from all over come here to either trade or depart on voyages to the unknown Azure Ocean. Although these gentlemen are big, there are other races that are even bigger. So it's natural for most shops to keep a few products in all sizes."
"Hmm, you're right. I keep forgetting how popular this place is," Hao Xuan sighed as he remembered the information that was given to him on his arrival to this world.
Mei Kingdom was one of the rare few that had 'easy' access to the Azure Ocean. The Royal clan recognized its value pretty early on and invested heavily in the naval sector.
Every country had its main export, this was theirs.
They sent out many ships and lost hundreds of thousands of soldiers trying to navigate the treacherous waters. The creatures in the ocean were several times larger than their counterparts, and just as deadly if not more.
No one knew exactly how deep the ocean was as its waters were life-threatening for even the strongest. It spanned for millions upon millions of miles and there were many areas that one couldn't enter under normal circ.u.mstances.
But although the ocean was deadly, it was just as precious if not more so. There were natural treasures and lands untouched by humans that contained things that would start wars between entire Empires.
That was why many people risked their lives to venture out in the open ocean. There was no shortage of strong 'crazy' men and women willing to bet their lives for a little gold.
"One day I will lead an army into its depths and make a name for myself," Hao Xuan clenched his fists thinking about the epic new adventures soon to come.
*Sigh*
"Alright, I'll take my leave then. I will place the order by tonight for a bunch of things. I hope you can get the glaive made as soon as possible because I have to leave soon," he shook Ming's hand and walked out of the Den with Green and Red right behind him like loyal bodyguards.
Actually, this type of att.i.tude was not forced by the Soul Severing Heavenly const.i.tution. The only thing Hao Xuan could truly control was their loyalty.
Those who had their souls 'severed' would not be able to disobey him, but that did not mean they would have to love him as well.
They still retained their original personalities and memories for the most part. If Hao Xuan was not good to them then naturally they would hate him.
Neither Green and Red's respect nor the little snake's affection for him was forced. Ever since the snakes opened their eyes, Hao Xuan had treated them with love so naturally, they did the same.
As for Green and Red, they were created in a laboratory and had spent their entire lives as test subjects. All they did was fight on other's orders and at the end of the day, they were still treated like objects to be bought and sold. As beings with divine blood running through their veins, this was unacceptable for them.
So they saw Hao Xuan as their savior and treated him as such.
Sixth and the rest followed after him as well.
Ming turned around and the smile on his face vanished.. He sent a message to someone on the Spirit Band, "This is Li Ming of branch M371, I need to request a background check."
