Life Hunter 68 ''Did You Think About It?''

Above it, a silver light formed, it then became fire, lightning, water. Arima clenched his hand and destroyed the light. Then his body became shrouded with silver lightning.

"Silver, huh? So that's the final form?" He murmured and Lanya trembled, Night wasn't an exception. Arima's voice sounded like it came from another world, it was an extremely strange feeling.

Arima sighed and snapped his fingers, the sigil in his eyes that had not disappeared, revolved one more time and shined.

Under the confused looks of Night and Lanya, the rocks and dust that were hovering in outer s.p.a.ce disappeared. Then, they suddenly felt the gravity coming back and looked below. The planet was slowly coming back, like it was coming out of an illusion.

When it fully reappeared, Arima just moved a bit and even with Night looking at him, he disappeared without any trace, and silently reappeared on the ground. Of course, Lanya and Night followed him.

Arima looked at the latter with his intimidating eyes "Night, prepare yourself, once I release this, we'll suffer both an instant increase in life force, you better not lose control. Lanya, get away for a bit"

Just by Arima's words, Lanya was directly teleported away, there was no obvious chant, his sigil didn't move. Just his will to move her was enough.

Arima breathed out and a silver aura instantly enveloped him. His silver hair started to slowly crumble away and his eyes also returned to his usual silver color, quite ironically.

When Arima's appearance returned to normal and the silver aura vanished, both his and Night's aura exploded at the same time.

The latter roared, the sudden wave that struck him easily surpa.s.sed what he had prepared himself for. Even Arima groaned and almost fell on his knees.

The place they were in started to be bombarded by lightning and fire. Lanya, who was sent hundreds of miles away, still felt the repercussions.

It lasted for a good hour before the two auras calmed down. Lanya instantly deployed her wings and flew toward Arima and Night.

When she arrived, she saw that the earth was not burned, destroyed or anything. It was crumbling away continuously. Everything was transforming itself in particles that were leaving the ground and disappeared in the sky.

That phenomenon was only occurring in a fifty miles radius, and it was when Arima and Night did their best to restrain the power produced. If they had let it go wild, even thought it would be in the dimension, the whole continent would have transformed in these particles and disappeared from the map.

When Lanya saw them, she observed some changes. Night had become even smaller, he was now around ten meters tall, his horns grew longer, the mane that he had grown from his head to his tail was now even bigger, giving him a 'wilder' appearance.

On the other side, Arima's changes were more minimalist but there was something that really struck Lanya. His height didn't change at all not did his appearance, but something new appeared, a silver mark was shining on his back. It looked like a crown surrounded by the eight elements then encompa.s.sed by a magic circle.

Arima also noticed that and took out his coat then his shirt, if we pa.s.s his body, certainly hardly trained and full of scars, on his back, the same mark was shining with a silver light, then that same light dimmed and the mark became something like a white tattoo.

While Lanya was doing her best to not stare at Arima, the latter casually wore back his shirt and coat. The latter was not shining anymore, but the mark stayed behind.

Arima clicked his tongue "[Rest.i.tutio](Restoration)" He chanted and his coat deformed a bit for a second and the mark disappeared soon after.

"So? Can you explain what the h.e.l.l just happened?" When Lanya finally landed beside the two of them, Night asked "What could make you go up to the fourth sky and me to the second?" He said and Lanya became shocked by the information.

Arima scratched his head with a tired expression "When I fused the two spheres earlier, the explosion that resulted, I tried to restrain it as much as I could then it back fired on me" He explained "Then I absorbed it somehow and I became like what you saw. I think that form is something that happens when you use that thing, let's just call Omni magic for now. Also, that mark on my back, maybe it's a proof that I can do it now" He said.

Night frowned "Can you return to that form?"

Arima smirked "I can" He said "But in my state, I can only keep that form for around two hours" He said then looked at Night.

"What?" The latter exclaimed.

"Did you think about it?"

"About what?"

"What if we resonate, then I use the Omni form and after that, I use my death magic, we use the 'One thousand parade' and finally we break the limit to at least one hundred percent" Arima slowly listed.

Night and Lanya's eyes widened, and the former rubbed his eyes "Don't talk about things so scary, seriously…But" He paused and smiled "That's some idea you got there. The 'One thousand parade' was impossible before, but I think that we can do it now"

Lanya was left listening to them with a thunderstruck mind. She perfectly knew that these two were in a completely different world than her. But their conversation was still making her speech less. And at the same time, she felt hat she didn't really pertain to this group.

When Night returned to a small wolf form, he jumped on Arima's shoulder. The latter approached Lanya and patted her shoulder "Don't worry about that, when you win against Velvet, I'll give you a method to break through the earthen realm" He said and brought her out of the dimension. They directly reappeared inside the Inn.

"Well, I'll go sleep now" Arima said and yawned "That thing was really tiring" He left to his room and directly fell asleep.

Lanya faintly smiled and went to sleep too.

When Zeus saw the silver light in the sky vanish, he looked back at Karaskan with really hurried and irritated expression.

The latter laughed when he saw that "What's wrong Zeus? You're scared?" He grinned and said.

Zeus grunted and waved his hand. At his command, every G.o.d surrounded Karaskan, except Azes who stayed at the same place.

Karaskan sneered "I just wanted to greet you, I have no intention of being captured here" He said and took out a strange stone.

Zeus frowned when he saw that "What is that?" He actually had no idea what it was.

Karaskan grinned "It's something I found in the depths of Heaven, too bad I found it first old geezer" He said and crushed the stone, he then disappeared just like that, without any magic or s.p.a.ce fluctuation, he just vanished.

Zeus gritted his teeth "Form groups, search everywhere! Find Karaskan!" He shouted and most G.o.ds did as they were told.

"Shouldn't we also find out about the Life Hunter?" A G.o.d asked Zeus.

The latter shook his head "It's not the time to get involved with a Life Hunter, even more when he is a Silver Emperor. Getting rid of Life Hunters is really hard because of the Life Judgment. We need to prepare for that" He said and Azes sighed in relief and also grinned soon after.

In a strange garden, where no wind was blowing. Lilis was looking down at a small pond. She placed her hand above the water and chanted silently.

The water started to became agitated and the color started changing to a red, at the same time, a strange a grave laugh resounded in the whole garden. When Lilis saw and heard that, she almost screamed.

"T-That's…" She stuttered and was doing her best to not back away from the pond "This phenomenon is only supposed to occur when the Garden is looking at a criminal's past" She muttered in shock.

Then an image slowly formed, on the pond and she concentrated on it. When the image became clear, she realized it was a small baby, crying in a Moses basket. But what was surprising, was that it was outdoors, at night.

Lilis was already surprised by this. She noticed the eyes of the baby and they were indeed Arima's. That would mean that if the water's color wasn't changing, it was because Arima was really a criminal in the eyes of the garden.

Lilis breathed in and touched the water with her hand, starting the rewind.

The next day, Arima naturally returned to the FDA. He didn't care nor knew about what was happening in Heaven after all. He just continued his job.

This time, there was a new promising student Arima found yesterday. It was an elven boy, his name was Balan. Even as an elf, he was around 17 years old. Surprisingly, he wasn't very strong with Spirit magic. Nor did he have good affinities with other elements. But he had shockingly mastered Life and s.p.a.ce magic. And so, Arima of course added him to his cla.s.s.

Like every time, Arima sat down on the desk and Night laid down beside him, while Lanya sat down on the side, ready to listen.

When everyone was on their seats, Arima actually pondered for a moment "Well, I have eight different elements to go through, then seven others. So, the order doesn't really matter, but I'll still ask, what should I begin with?" He said and pointed at Lena "Tell me, what do you want to begin with? You can also be a bit selfish and chose your own specialty if you want"

"Eh?" Lena was surprised to be suddenly called, when she heard the question she started thinking, a bit fl.u.s.tered, and then her eyes fell on her sister "…I choose Light" She said and Ofia became a bit surprised but then chuckled.

Arima smiled "Fine, we'll go with Light first then" He said and conjured a small ball of light and made it hover in mid-air.

"First, I need to remind you that there is two different ways to use magic. The first one is first degree application. You directly use the property of the element you're using. In Light's case, you can illuminate things but also burn things if you concentrate it enough. Then, there is the second-degree application, which we also call magic theory. The magic theory is something that is usually abstract. One more time, if you take Light as an example, the simplest magic theory you can make are things like purification and revelation" Arima explained.

"Of course, the magic theory is always set and determined by the interaction with the world, which is in most cases, the incantation" He said and smiled.

"Now, I'll teach you, starting with Light magic, the different variants of the first degree then the second degree, it's important, you can take as many notes as you want" He declared.
