Life Hunter 55 ''It Should Work Somehow''

While Arima was flying above the sea in his draconic form, so fast that it would fend the surface of the water, he was thinking about the map he had on the Main Land. Its size was definitely bigger than the continent he just left. Actually, he didn't really look up to it before leaving and there was not really much information about it, so the map he had maybe wasn't that accurate and complete.

"But still, it gets bigger and bigger, what the h.e.l.l is that? Some game? And the difficulty changes too in a certain way" Arima muttered

"{Yeah, it's the most peaceful continent but also the most dangerous at the same time}" Night said and Arima nodded.

The Main Land is the continent with the biggest population in this planet, it possesses the best inst.i.tutes and armies. It's mainly ruled by the humans along with the other races. The beasts are the most peaceful, leaving in forests spread around the continent. But, as Night said, there's something dangerous, and that thing is the monsters. In the Main Land, monsters tend to gather and attack all at once, creating situations like raids.

The strongest monsters are said to live in the Main Land. Also, from what Lilis said, the strongest human on that continent is only around the second sky of the earthen realm. But she also said that the strongest beings in this planet, omitting the Earthen G.o.ds which are almost all at the peak of the fifth sky, are the magic beasts.

"Yeah, that's expected, beasts have a mind calmer and more mature than humans" Arima said

"{Of course}" Lilis voice resounded. Actually, Arima had took Lanya and Lilis in his storage to move toward the Main Land. Of course, Arima did some changes in his own storage, it could be compared to something like a luxury hotel at this point.

"Even before that. Night, you didn't forget Jorga, right?" Arima suddenly asked

"{Huh? Of course, I remember}" Night was surprised and answered

"I won't say that he was an Earthen G.o.d but his strength should be around the third or the fourth sky of the earthen realm now that I can compare it to something" Arima said

"Yes" Arima responded plainly

"{Jorga…Now that I think about it, I remember him being the inheritor of Jormungand, we keep a record of the inheritors in Heaven}" Lilis added

"By the way Night, I never asked you, how did Jorga train you?" Arima asked in curiosity.

"{…}" Night fell silent for a moment "{…Basically, he beat me over and over again, until I could more or less resist him and then breakthrough}" He said with difficulty "{Now that I think about it, it's strange that he could beat me that easily}"

Arima started laughing "Learning directly with the body is the quickest way to improve" He said, he flapped his wings and accelerated, he created a tide and disappeared at the same time.

It took Arima twelve hours to reach his destination, the main land was actually pretty far and Arima was going there with a casual speed. He even pa.s.sed by another continent.

Arima landed on a beach and dispersed the sand. He cracked his neck and released his resonance. Night reappeared as a cub and jumped on Arima's shoulder. Lilis and Lanya also stepped out of the latter's shadow and stretched.

Lilis sighed "It's sad, your storage was so comfortable, you even created a fake sun and nature, that was like paradise" She said with a yearning expression.

"I'm not a hotel, I already destroyed it, it takes mana anyway" Arima snapped at her, and even Lanya showed a longing expression after she heard that Arima destroyed that place.

"Aah, I'll memorize the detailed map for now" Arima said "[Bestia Falcon]" He chanted and hundreds of small spheres of electricity appeared in mid-air. These spheres soon became birds that flew away "I remembered that I had this magic, with this I can scan the environment without alerting anyone" Arima said satisfied "Well, let's see the surroundings at least" He looked at the sky and teleported away.

Lanya and Lilis followed him and they reappeared a mile above the sea level. Arima looked at the ground and observed every detail.

"Well, for now, let's go there" Arima said after a few seconds and one more time teleported everyone without their opinion.

They returned onto firm ground this time, and they directly appeared at the gate of a town. Like usual, no one noticed a group of people suddenly appearing. Only when Arima took a step did the people at the gate notice him, and most of them locked their eyes onto Night. But he wasn't the only one being stared at, Arima was quite good looking, along with Lilis and Lanya behind him, they gathered attention.

Arima casually walked toward a guard at the gate and handed him his card, when the men saw the gold and silver card, he instantly bowed and let Arima pa.s.s. That scene surprised the surrounding people, which possessed quite a diversity. There seemed to be absolutely no barrier between races. On the previous continent, there was still cities that had a certain race in its name, but in this town, the humans, the beast men, the elves, the demons or the dwarves, they were all strolling and laughing together.

After entering the city, Arima discretely created a few small animals, like cats or dogs to even something like mice or a spider. He waited for just a minute before smiling.

"Like always" Arima cracked his fingers "It's library time" He said and headed somewhere.

"Then can I go with Lanya?" Lilis smiled and asked.

Arima glanced at her "Sure, but don't go shopping or anything, if you want to pa.s.s time, help Lanya breakthrough the ninth rank, like Jorga did with Night" He said and the star in his eyes spun once "The dimension is open, go inside"

Lilis wryly smiled and shrugged "Okay, I'll help her" She said and turned away "Your mastery of the sigil is perfect by the way" She said and disappeared with Lanya.

"Let's go" Arima said to Night on his shoulder, and directly went toward the biggest library of this town.

In the other dimension, Lilis was getting prepared to 'beat' Lanya.

"What's the sigil you were talking about?" The latter asked in curiosity.

"Mh?" Lilis looked at her "Oh, right. Well, you remarked the strange sign Arima has in his pupils, right?" She said and Lanya nodded "That's a magic sigil" She started explaining "When you want to cast a magic, you usually interact with the world around you to use it, like gestures, magic circles, the glow of your eyes, a sound like clap or snap and of course, chanting. To cast a magic, it's imperative to use a way to interact with the world. It's bit like saying that you will activate a magic and you're warning the world around you of it. This concept of interacting with the world is important" Lilis explained carefully and Lanya silently listened.

"People can conjure magic with just a thought, but those magics are really weak and inefficient, the kind of people who wants to look cool, and just use a thought to activate magic, are just stupid" Lilis said with a grin "Now, that's where the magic sigils come into action, sigils can be defined as something like a new organ or member. When one uses magic to a certain degree, and if he has enough talent, then he may gain a sigil with time. The stars Arima has in his eyes are sigils" Lilis paused.

"Then, the actual utility of that sigil is to interact with the world, like I said before. And the important things with sigils are that they're things that were born from the magic circuits entering in our body, and modifying it. The result is that sigils can greatly reduce the time you spend on casting a magic or can also totally ignore it. Earlier, Arima created the path to this dimension just by making spin his sigil once" Lilis breathed out and smiled "That's it, that's what you call a sigil"

Lanya nodded "Do you have one too? A sigil" She asked

Lilis smiled and pulled the collar of her shirt "It's here" She said and Lanya looked closely, indeed, there was a blue tattoo, representing a sort of flower, on her neck. Lilis smiled and then pointed at Lanya's hand "I don't know if you realized, but you also have one on the back of your left hand" She said

"Huh?" Lanya looked at the back of her hand and squinted her eyes, she managed to observe a white mark, which looked like the wings of dragon, on the white skin of her hand "It's true…" She said

"Of course, you're the heiress of Chronepsis, it's a matter of fact that you would get this" Lilis said. She looked at Lanya who nodded and then thought of something "Lanya" She called

"What?" The latter responded

"Do you like Arima?" Lilis asked in a casual tone.

Lanya put her hand on her chin and wondered for a moment "Maybe, I think?" She tilted her head and said

Lilis wryly smiled "Well, that's better than being fl.u.s.tered about it" She said "Still, your character is slowly turning into a silent type, it's not good. You're being too much influenced by Arima" Lilis grabbed Lanya by the shoulders and looked at her seriously "To cope with someone like him, you need to have a personality that counter his, do you understand?"

"Y-Yes" Lanya answered with a bit of difficulty.

"Good" Lilis nodded in satisfaction. If Arima was here, he would've already smacked her head to shut her mouth "Then let's go, you also need to be stronger, right now, you're too weak" She said

Lanya nodded with a determined expression this time, her body started being recovered by beautiful silver scales. She grew a pair of wings and also a tail. The transformation itself looked greatly like Arima's. But Lanya's draconic form looked less fierce and had more elegance to it.

Lilis whistled "You're really pretty in that form" She praised Lanya and released her aura "Get ready, Arima is keeping this dimension active, so let's use it to our heart's content. I want you to be in the ninth level in the next six hours and maybe at the high cla.s.s of the tenth level by the end of this session. You have an Earthen One's inheritance, it should work somehow" Lilis grinned and kicked the ground.
