Life Hunter 26 ''Messor''

"Please, put your bid" Arima heard a voice. It was pale man with fangs over his lips.

"Vampire, huh? If I'm not wrong they are a kind of cousins to the incubus" Arima mumbled

He looked at him, he was on a pedestal, with him there was a beautiful girl around fourteen years old with silver hair and eyes dressed in an extremely flashy way

"10 white silvers!" a wealthy incubus shouted from the crowd

"11 white silvers!"

"15!" People continued to raise the number like that until it stagnated around sixty white silvers.

"Is that an auction for that girl?" Arima wondered. That girl didn't seem simple, but her appearance was totally like a human "Well not my problem"

"{Wait}" When Arima was about to leave, Night stopped him

"What's wrong?" Arima asked

"That girl, can you buy her?" Night said

"…Night, I don't know if dragons have sort of p.u.b.erty phase but-"

"{That's not it!}" Night interrupted him before he could say more "{That girl, I feel a familiar connection with her}" He said

"Familiar connection?"

"{Yes, like when we met the sky dragon back then}" Night explained

"Are you saying that she is a dragon?" Arima frowned

"No, I'd say she is half dragon. If you want an image, it would be something like when we resonate. Half human, half dragon"

"Mh" Arima mused "Okay, but you take care of her" He said

"{… ok}"

"You hesitated, right?"

"{…No}"

Arima and looked at pedestal and the girl on it, the latter also looked at him with an indifferent expression for almost a minute.

"Tch" Arima and the girl both clicked their tongue at the same time.

"{Huh? Did I miss something?}" Night was perplexed

"No, I think we just both realised that we were similar" Arima said

"{Isn't that a good thing?}" Night was confused

Arima sighed "1 shining gold" He raised his hand and said, his voice wasn't loud but everyone clearly heard him and looked at him.

The vampire selling the girl grinned in happiness "If there isn't anyone to make a bigger bid, this product will go to this person" He said and everyone stayed silent "Good, then this person here won this day's auction" He said and took the girl in front of Arima.

The latter took a coin which seemed very precious and gave it to the vampire, the vampire smiled and left leaving the girl behind.

Arima and the girl looked blankly at each other for a moment "Follow me, first I need to change that outfit of yours" Arima said and turned around, the girl looked at his back and followed him silently.

After that, Arima bought her a dress, when he let her decide of the colour, the girl glanced at him and chose black.

After an hour, Arima finally booked a room in an Inn for him and the girl.

"Let's begin, what's your name?" Arima sat down and began to eat his usual

"Lanya Leana" She said with a calm and composed voice

"Oh, cool name, how old are you?" Arima said and asked

"Forty-six" Arima almost choked on his chocolate when he heard the response

"(Again?)" Arima thought and observed Lanya, now that he looked better, this girl seemed young at first sight, but she wasn't that small and her figure gave off a mature impression.

"Let's cut to the main point" Arima said and ended his resonance with Night, the latter appeared in the room as a wolf. Lanya seemed slightly surprised "He told me that you are half dragon, is that true?" Arima pointed at Night and asked

Lanya looked a bit at Night and nodded "To be exact, it's an inheritance" She said

"Oh, like Jorga, huh? Just asking, from who is that inheritance?" Arima asked

"Chronepsis" She said

"Ah? The Dragon G.o.d of Eternal Law?" Arima uttered "(Isn't that from an old game?)" He tried to remember

"Yes" Lanya just said

"Then, how strong are you?" Arima asked

She shook her head "I still can't master completely my inheritance so I'm only at the seventh rank" She answered

"I see, Night will train you later" Arima said and laid down on the bed

"Eh? Why me?" Night said

"You said you'd take care of her, then you'll train her" Arima responded

"Aaah, right, I said that" Suddenly Night felt like he had done something annoying for himself.

"I will be in your care, master" Lanya bowed to Night said

Arima's expression twitched "Why are you so respectful to him?"

"Because it is thanks to him that you decided to bring me with you, right? I saw it, you were ready to go and you suddenly stopped, when you told me that it was master that told you, it's easy to understand what happened" She suddenly fired out a lot of arguments

Arima's face darkened "You're not only annoying but you're also smart, that's a bad combination" He said and closed his eyes to sleep and Lanya slept in the other bed.

During the night, Arima and Night left the Inn without Lanya. Arima set a quick barrier around the room before leaving.

The two resonated and rushed silently to the center of the town. When they arrived at the tower, Arima didn't hold back and used a detection magic on the whole tower, he marked every person in it "[Altera rationem terram]" Before anyone in the building could react he directly transferred everyone that he chose, in a set area, into another dimension.

When the Lilin people looked outside of their tower they didn't spot anything strange, but if they observed carefully they would realize that there's no one in the town anymore and they were alone, not only in the town, but also in the whole planet, which is not alive in this dimension, obviously.

Arima didn't lose time, he teleported just in front of tower's wall. Then his left hand began to produce a strange and ominous black mist. On his hand, a perturbing phenomenon occurred, Arima's hand melted and became only bones, he placed his hand on the wall of the tower.

"[Cadere in nihilum aeternum] (Fall to nothingness eternally)" He started his incantation.

"[Mors non capit in aeternum] (Death will catch you eternally)" The walls of the tower began to turn black

"[Ossa aeternum grandem faciam pyram] (Bones will pile eternally)" The whole tower was now engulfed in a black mist and the screams echoing added to the eerie scene.

"[Dispergat](Scatter)" Arima chanted his last keyword and the tower became dust that scattered away, when the tower vanished, numerous skeletons fell on the ground and piled. Only two people were left alive looking with anger and shock from the sky.

Arima looked at the two survivors and smiled "(Death magic is really hard to control for me, I need too much time to activate it)" He thought quickly of his magic and shook his left hand a bit to get rid of the mist and his hand strangely regenerated.

Death magic can also be called necromancy. It's the power to control the dead and bring death. Death magic is also the source of curses.

"You! Who are you?! Why did you kill my children!?" The queen shouted with a strong voice.

Right now, Arima had his appearance fully revealed, scales on his arms with wings and tail of a dragon. Of course, the queen would be confused by that.

"Messor (The Reaper)" Arima smirked and responded in Latin

The queen gritted her teeth "What is that supposed to mean!?" She released her aura, her strength was equivalent to the ninth rank, but just at the lower cla.s.s. While the king also released his aura in silent fury, around the pinnacle of the eight level.

The queen's pupils glowed in a pink light and stared at Arima directly in the eyes.

Arima became dazed for half a second before getting his mind back "As expected of the queen, you got me for half a second" Arima said in mockery

The succubus already had lost every ounce of reason, now she only thought of torturing this despicable man and kill him. She flapped her wings and flew towards Arima at the speed of the sound and sent a kick to him that blew off the skeletons on the ground and shook the houses around.

Arima avoided by shifting his body to the back, at that exact moment, the king took the chance to strike, he conjured a circle behind Arima and prepared to attack when Arima took out Karma and literally cut the magic circle in half before calling Ira and shooting at the queen.

While both the queen and the king weren't attacking, Arima pointed his sword to the sky, Karma glowed in a silver light and the sky became covered in dark clouds, ready to destroy anything with thunder.

The succubus glanced at the sky "[End of Dreams, Final Wish, Eternal Hope, Endless Despair]" She chanted and the area in a mile radius became distorted, her appearance, along with the King, became blurred and Arima suddenly received a kick on his side.

His eyes widened in surprise, he saw the queen grinning at him. Before he was sent flying, Arima grabbed her leg with his tail and used the momentum to throw her away as he was in mid-air. He crashed on a few houses and broke them, also did the queen. He flapped his wings to quickly regain his balance.

"(She set a ma.s.sive illusion array)" Arima thought "[Lux ab oculis meis] (Eyes of Light)" Arima buffed his eyes with Light magic and instantly spotted huge rocks falling from the sky at an extreme speed "(Earth magic)"

Arima swung Karma and conjured 'Aeterna', destroying all the rocks into smitheries. Just after that he called Superbia and fired to a figure he saw in the distance, the black pillar of plasma flew off but before it reached the target, the latter disappeared before the bullet could reach it.

"(Missed)" He realized that his Light magic only allowed him to see the truth in a limited area. Just after he shot with Superbia, the queen rushed to him and tried to kick him in the neck. Arima swiftly swapped to Karma a blocked the strike with the blade. He then engaged on a closed combat with the succubus.

They gave back each blow, one after another. Just after twenty seconds, the place they were standing was already a small crater. At that point, they were both injured. Even Arima couldn't avoid injuries but he was still better because his clothes were healing him in permanence.

All of sudden, the queen pushed her illusion magic to the maximum and disappeared from Arima's sight. She took out a dagger and tried to stab Arima in the heart. At the same moment, the king took the opportunity and restrained Arima with earth magic.

The latter still tried to shift his body when he felt the danger but was still stabbed in the abdomen. Before they could do anything else to him he teleported away but couldn't go anywhere farther than a few hundred of meters because both the incubus and succubus were restraining the s.p.a.ce with their aura.

When he teleported, Arima looked at his abdomen who was healing and grinned. His eyes flashed with black flash and the clouds outside of the illusion began to rumble. Lightning fell everywhere in a mile radius and forced the queen and the king to fall back to be able to protect themselves. Each one of those lightnings were strong enough to destroy a small hill.

"This farce is over" Arima said and his aura exploded and disturbed the illusion around him "[Conteret eum, Rakshasa] (Destroy it, Rakshasa)" He chanted and a figure began to slowly form behind him. The figure was a strange monster with six arms and fangs protruding from his mouth, he was covered in blood and growled. He held a large scimitar in one of his hands and slashed the air with it.

The illusion instantly broke and Arima regained a normal vision of the world. He looked around and saw the queen standing a mile away from him, chanting, so was the king, at the same distance behind him.

"[Earth entrails!]" The two finished at the same time and the ground trembled, the earth in a mile radius moved at the same time and transformed in countless spikes and rocks that attacked him from all directions.

Arima sighed "Lets finish this" He said like he was totally unconcerned by the things happening around him

"[Agnitio vultus unum centum] (One hundred parade)" Arima smirked and chanted
