Life Hunter 140 ''Looks Like It Started''

The truth was that they didn't care about Karez at all but they were still going to act in his favor. The only people who actually listened to Karez were just Baphomet, Utain and Vastra. And those three let him do what he wanted just because it wasn't their problem.

Baphomet just decided to kill him after and Vastra, in fact, completely ignored him. And while Utain didn't want to help in this endeavor, the end of this plane wasn't something that interested him in any way and just overlooked it because he had found a Life Hunter.

Karez was aware of this, he knew that he had to destroy Heaven while they were all fighting. The army of h.e.l.l was moving at tremendous speed and so was Heaven's. The first fights started in the middle of a canyon.

Heaven had dispatched a lot of their forces, and the renowned angels represented most of Heaven's power. This war started in a really short time. All of the forces from each side started fighting at different places across h.e.l.l.

All of those fighters were all at least at the fifth sky with at least half of them being at the first divine. The scale of those battles was so big, that it could be counted in 'number of planets' destroyed if they were in a lower world.

h.e.l.l itself started to prepare for the war as the ground hardened, the sky darkened, the volcanos all erupted and this Original Land began to be even more faithful to its name.

When most of the devils, prisoners, angels, and G.o.ds were fighting, the strongest individuals from each side stayed behind to watch first.

On Heaven's side, Azes observed the battlefield and squinted his eyes to look hundreds of miles away, where he felt huge auras "…Baphomet" He muttered, that was what he saw first. If he had to be honest, Baphomet was maybe the one that Heaven was the most scared of.

That monster was able to kill hundreds with a single attack and then use their souls to strengthen himself. He even could attack with those same souls.

Of course, he wasn't the only one worthy of attention. Vastra was almost as scary as him. Her personal strength really didn't go higher than the second divine but her control over different beings was terrifying.

She could control the mind, the soul, and the body of anyone. What made her scary was how she could boost the ones she controlled. She was able to make them stronger. If she wanted, she also could make them explode the mana in their pool to create kamikazes.

"Aphrodite, I hope you can take care of her" Azes turned toward a stunning woman beside him. She had glowing pink hair and a rosy skin without any imperfection. Her expression reflected her charisma and just being in her presence could make lose control to some.

"I will" She calmly answered to Azes and stared at Vastra who also was looking at her. The two kept looking at each other until thunder roared and the sky illuminated with lightning.

Azes clicked his tongue "He went first that idiot" From the clouds, pure white lightning fell and attacked h.e.l.l's army. At the same time, a white figure descended and landed in the middle of the battlefield with a huge discharge of lightning.

"Zeus…" Aphrodite muttered and shook her head "Azes, where is Gabriel?" She asked.

"She should be arriving soon. She was staying in the 'chamber' until now" Azes answered as he kept his eyes on Baphomet and Vastra.

"What about Cronos?"

Azes sighed "You know him. He completely disregarded the situation"

"Maybe he saw what was going to happen and knew that he didn't need to act" Aphrodite guessed "That's something I see him doing"

Azes snickered "You're not wrong about that" He said, and his eyes suddenly narrowed "This is…" He mumbled and ignored his two initial targets to look somewhere else "He's coming after all"

Aphrodite nodded with a heavy expression. It just took a few seconds and huge crimson fireball suddenly appeared in the sky out of nowhere and fell on the angels and weaker G.o.ds fighting.

When another one formed and was about to fall, a figure with three pairs of wings appeared in front of it and the fire was engulfed by a white light before vanishing.

"Hades!" The handsome angel with six wings shouted to a five meters tall demon standing on thin air.

Hades didn't respond and just looked around, overlooking the seraphim "It's been a while, Michael" Meanwhile, a black winged angel arrived beside Hades and greeted the archangel.

"Lucifer…" Michael gritted his teeth and his wings glowed with a bright light. When he was about to attack, Hades opened his eyes wide and charged toward a certain place with a loud burst of air.

In the next second, an explosion occurred above the battlefield and the shockwave blasted a small mountain not far. Just after, two giant spheres, one made of water and the other of fire, clashed against each other in the sky.

"How long has it been?" In the middle of the steam and flames, Hades asked with a smile.

"Around six thousand years, I think. Not that much" Poseidon responded and the two exchanged devastating blows one more time.

To give an example, if Arima's was struck by a single one of those attacks, even if he was in his Death form, he would be instantly Ko if not killed.

"They really started, huh?" Lucifer smirked and said. Michael glanced at the fight between Poseidon and Hades and then focused on Lucifer "Hey, don't tell you're going to personally kill me" Lucifer bantered.

"I will. It's my duty to take care of you" Michael retorted, and a spear made of light appeared in his hand.

Lucifer sneered, and a second figure emerged at his side. Michael frowned and grunted when he saw who it was "Now it's you, Satan?"

"Of course. Don't tell me you didn't expect it" Satan, in red armor, laughed and responded "Although I prefer when the conditions are fair. We'll be your opponents" He declared and b.l.o.o.d.y flames surrounded him to create two swords which he grabbed.

Lucifer smirked and grabbed his own spear before beginning a barrage of blows with Satan. Michael snorted and released his aura as he fought against both of them.

Azes's eyes flashed with an odd light and then closed them "How is it?" Aphrodite asked him just after.

"Everything is in order. Michael should be able to win alone. Poseidon will have a hard time but he's not arrogant, he will call for help if he's in bad condition. For now, we control this battle" Azes said and paused "But it will change now" He added.

At the same moment, Baphomet roared and everyone on the battlefield shivered. The monster jumped in the middle of everyone and a pentagram formed on the ground, glowing below everyone on the battlefield. The corpses affected by that pentagram also glowed with an ominous light and a white mist escaped from them.

That white mist immediately went to Baphomet and became a black mist just before entering the monster's body.

Meanwhile, Vastra grinned and chanted something. When she did so, strange marks glowed on almost all of the devils and prisoners fighting. All of those with that mark howled in pain at first but they all soon grew bigger, their eyes became bloodshot, and they also turned a lot more aggressive than before.

All of this happened in less than a minute. The first one to do something was Zeus, his body transformed into lighting and appeared just in front of Baphomet as if he had just teleported. He raised his huge hammer and smashed the monster with it.

Baphomet sneered and blocked the hammer with an organic-looking great sword "Do you think you can beat me?" He mocked Zeus and a black smoke erupted from his sword. That black smoke covered Zeus and when the latter noticed that his clothes and weapon were starting to decay, lightning fell between him and Baphomet to separate them.

"It's time for me to go" Aphrodite declared and flew away in Vastra's direction. Azes looked at her for a moment and then jumped from the mountain he was standing on. He flew toward Baphomet to help Zeus.

Azes's job in this war was support. He would a.s.sist the fighters at different places of the battlefield and he would his best to lead them "(I have to reduce the casualties as much as possible until Gabriel arrives)" He thought and joined Zeus in his fight while connecting everyone with a telepathic link.

While Arima and Utain were staring at each other, they saw the clash between Poseidon and Hades from where they were.

"Looks like it started" Arima glanced at the discharges of magic he could see from his position and remarked.

"That's not my problem" Utain responded and didn't even look at it.

Arima shrugged "Then why don't you attack me already?" He jested. Utain was just staring at them for almost a minute now.

"You're hesitant, right? We have Kerberos on our side and you don't know what the others can do, including me" Arima said and Utain's expression twitched.

Arima snickered and looked at him in the eyes "Why do you want to kill me anyway? Apparently, you met my 'clan'. Did they do something to you?"

"Tens of thousands of years ago, before I was sealed in h.e.l.l's purgatory, I met them while they were still alive" Utain surprisingly answered but his aura didn't recede at all "They didn't really do something to me, nor was it their intention. But everything comes back to the same thing, always"

"Revenge, huh?" Arima muttered and nodded toward his group "I'm sorry, but I can't accompany you right now. As you can see, I'm too weak to fight you"

Utain sneered "Do you think you can run away from me?"

Arima smirked "You can't see what I'm sitting on since the beginning?"

"A motorbike?" Utain frowned "I saw that in other worlds. What can you do with that?"

Arima chuckled "A lot of things actually" He said, and Deva ignited its 'motors' "Later" Arima waved his hand and went full throttle before releasing the brakes.

Utain was looking at him attentively but when Arima raised the brake pedal, he lost sight of both him and his group. Utain stayed stunned there for a moment. He was sure to be completely focused on Arima's group but he still lost sight of them in the blink of an eye. He couldn't even feel their presence anymore.

"Was that…" He muttered, and his eyes widened "Origin!" He exclaimed and looked toward the place where Heaven and h.e.l.l were aggressively confronting each other "d.a.m.n it!" He cursed and flew away.

"(If he really didn't go through the Life Judgment, that battlefield is a gold mine for him. It's full of life force ready to help him for his breakthrough!)" Utain shouted in his mind "(If I don't stop him, he will become too dangerous!)"
