Tsubaki couldn't count how many times she had stuttered as she looked at her husband's handsome face with cold sweat running down her back.
Somehow, his smiling face reminded her of... a predator aiming at its prey.
Gulp!
"Well, I arrived just in time to hear my dear wife talking bad about me," answered Ren, his voice sounded menacing even though he was still smiling. Placing one hand on the table, he leaned over her who was still sitting on the chair. "I didn't know that my sweetheart think of me.. as a wolf?"
"Err..."
Tsubaki didn't know what should she say. She bit her lower lip as her eyes darted left and right, trying to find excuses.
Argh! I'm so dead!
"President Fuse, don't be mad at your wife!" Kanako immediately tried to defend her friend. She was so terrified when she saw the man suddenly appeared in front of them. "She didn't mean that! She's just..."
"h.e.l.lo, Miss Esumi. It seems like you're having a good time with my wife," Ren glanced at the woman nonchalantly. "I'm sorry but could you schedule another meeting with her? It seems like I have an important thing to say to my dear wife."
"Okay."
Without waiting any longer, Kanako stood up, grabbed her handbag and waved goodbye to Tsubaki without a hint if guilt on her face.
"Bye! I'll text you later!"
"Kanako..." Tsubaki was in disbelief. That woman dared to leave her behind?!
Kanako took one last look at Ren's eerie face. She gulped. Turning around, she quickly left the bakery.
"Kanako!" Tsubaki stood up, wanted to grab to her shield but she had already left.
"Your friend has left, why don't you spend some times with your intimidating husband?" said Ren coolly. He placed one hand around her shoulders.
"Err... Hubby... About that..."
Tsubaki tried to smile sweetly in order to coax her man yet the dangerous glint in his eyes made her aborted her mission. In the end, slowly lowered her head, trying to escape from his sight if possible.
Seeing how his dear wife trying hard to shrink herself in front of him, Ren couldn't help but laugh. He raised one hand, his index finger flicking her forehead.

"Ouch!"
Tsubaki immediately rubbed her forehead. Even though he didn't use much force but it was still hurt.
"Do you know what I felt when suddenly I heard you talking bad about me?" Ren asked as his laugh continued. "Don't you think you need to pacify me?"
"Err... Okay... Sorry, hubby..." Tsubaki could only admit her mistake.
She was just joking with Kanako. How could he appear here without any notice?
Ren wasn't even mad to begin with. He just used the opportunity to tease his wife. After all, this was the first time he had caught her red-handed when talking ill about him.
As he was thinking, he felt slightly annoyed when he thought back of her words. So, she was actually afraid of him during their first meeting in this bakery a few months ago?
Ren helplessly shook his head, decided to stop thinking such a hurtful matter. "You're not busy, are you? Aunt Kasumi wants to see us. She'd return to the UK tonight."
"Okay..."
Tsubaki pushed him away from her before she quickly made way to the break room. Once she was inside, she slapped her face before she slowly crouching on the floor.
Aaaaa I'm dead!
Even though Ren didn't press the matter further but she knew he would continue teasing her. Why did she become so bold today? She had invited misfortune to her door!
Tsubaki snapped out of her sense. After gathering her things and her cardigan, she left the break room in a haste. If she delayed any longer who knew what her husband would do?
"I'm ready..." said Tsubaki meekly. She didn't even dare to see the look of her employees who were eyeing them two.
Ren smiled. He stretched out his hands to take the cardigan from her hands. He draped it on her shoulders. Putting his hand around her shoulders, he led her outside the bakery. Tsubaki could only look at her employees with a guilty smile.
It was so clear that they would gossip about her once she stepped out of the door!
Ren unfolded an umbrella and covered Tsubaki with it. He didn't even bother with the rain wetting his back. He let Tsubaki to get in the car first before he rounded the car to get into the driver's seat.
"You didn't say you'd come here. I've prepared the lunch for you," said Tsubaki in an attempt to let him forget what she had said to Kanako.
"And miss my wife talking bad about me?" Ren smirked, raising his brows while his eyes fixed on her face.
"Okay... I'm sorry..." Tsubaki lowered her head, she stared at her hands on her knees. She looked like a child being scolded by her parents.
Ren laughed as he found the situation funny. He leaned over her, pressing her to the car seat. With his breath against her lips, he spoke, "But, it's true that I'm a wolf and you're my cute little rabbit."
"What? You..."
Before she could reply, she was already silenced with a kiss.
Before she could be suffocated due to the lack of air, Ren released her. He was still laughing, his deep and low voice echoed in the car.
Tsubaki glared angrily to her husband. He sure loved to take advantage of her!
Ren helped Tsubaki to fasten the seat belt. After he did the same to himself, he started driving to leave the road.
"Aunt Kasumi has just called me once Hibiki left. I could just ask him to come back but since you're so curious over his love life, I just sent him to you," answered Ren, he casually drove leaning against the seat as his right hand controlled the steering wheel. "So, did you interrogate him or not?"
"What?" Tsubaki couldn't believe her ears. He casually threw Hibiki to her so she could satisfy her gossipy heart?
"I didn't ask him anything but I did threaten him a bit with his secret," replied Tsubaki, recalling the little threat she made to Hibiki.
"Oh?" Ren smiled lazily. He glanced towards her who was looking at him with a guilty smile. "It'd do you good if you could learn to threaten someone. At least, I don't have to worry about you being scammed by another else."
What?
When did he start to become a bad influence on her?
Tsubaki couldn't really comprehend how did her man's brain worked.
