Matsuzaki nodded again.
At first, he thought it was quite a rush for his Master to get married to the Madam. Even though Hibiki had told him about their five year old marriage, it was quite hard to accept that his Master who was always above every one else was actually married to a woman from a humble birth. From time to time, he would witness the moments when the coldness in his Master's eyes dispelled whenever he talked to his little wife. At that moment, he seemed like any typical man who was in love.
And now, Matsuzaki finally knew that the deep feelings of his Master to this lady was equally mutual. His Madam was truly thinking of his Master's well-being, to the point of forsaking her desperate hope to see him again as soon as possible if it meant bringing obstacles to his Master.
"Madam, as President Fuse's wife, you have the right to attend the meeting tomorrow."
Tsubaki's interest was piqued up. Something crossed her mind. "Is there anything I can do to help him?"
"You can accompany Old Madam Fuse tomorrow as the legal wife of President Fuse. With the current situation, it would be unfavorable for the old madam to attend the meeting by herself. We are afraid she would crumble under pressure when her emotional state isn't at its best. You just need to hold the fort for a bit longer. We would oust Mr. Sagara and his cronies in the meantime."
"But..." Tsubaki trailed off. "Can't we just reveal his crimes now? Why must we wait until the meeting? Or is there something important happening soon to Mr. Sagara?"
"Mr. Sagara's company is going to collaborate with a foreign company. They are still in the midst of contract signing. If things go well, his company could finally rival ours. Master has been secretly contacting the foreign company these past few months, persuading them to follow his plans to mislead Mr. Sagara. Mr. Sagara won't stand a chance once his misdeeds are revealed."
"Do you mean... Ren wants him to be at the peak of his glory before executing his fall?"
Matsuzaki's silence confirmed her suspicions.
Tsubaki was speechless. She knew he was ruthless in the corporate world but she personally thought it was already enough to just reveal the crimes. Seemed like she was so naive.
"Master wants to be careful." Matsuzaki said after a long period of silence. "Since Mr. Sagara was the one who force Old Madam Fuse to bring him back from your village five years ago. Mr. Sagara wanted to control Master, for him to serve as a puppet figurehead for the company. It took Master almost five years to shake off of his control from behind the scenes. Right now, Mr. Sagara's influence on the company wasn't as much as before so Master wants to end him once and for all."
Tsubaki's lips twitched. She looked at Matsuzaki in disbelief.
Mr. Sagara was involved? What did it mean?
She had heard bits of him being forced to lead the company yet she didn't know the details of it.
"You said... Mr. Sagara was involved in what happened five years ago?" Tsubaki narrowed her eyes, she didn't avert her eyes from Matsuzaki.
Matsuzaki nodded gloomily.
"He's not related to your accident, Madam, even though Master did have suspicions but it's already been proven wrong. It's just that, Mr. Sagara and his cronies forced Old Madam Fuse to find him back after he left the estate. It took them a long time but they succeeded."
Tsubaki lowered her head as she was trying to take in the information. So much had happened within a short time. She was still overwhelmed by the news of Ren's safety when suddenly Matsuzaki opened up the old story.
"Madam... if you want to know about it I could tell you."
"It's okay." Tsubaki shook her head. "There's another important thing waiting for us. About what happened five years ago, I'll personally ask Ren. Earlier, you said that I could attend the meeting. Do I need to do something else? Instead of just supporting Grandma?"
If possible, she wanted to do everything she could. It was right that she was unaware of how the conglomerates worked, but it must have be something that she could do.
"About that..." Matsuzaki placed his briefcase on the table. He opened it and brought out two A4 sized brown envelopes from the briefcase. He laid the papers in front of Tsubaki. "Master has instructed me to get your signature, Madam."
"What is this?"
Tsubaki picked up the doc.u.ments and scanned its contents. She was surprised when she saw the t.i.tle of the doc.u.ments.
Transfer of Shares Agreement.
"This is..." Tsubaki quickly flipped each paper, trying to read them briefly. After she was done, she raised her head and looked dubiously at Matsuzaki. "What's the meaning of this?"
"Master wants to transfer all of the shares and a.s.sets under his name to yours, Madam. Even though as his legal wife you've already ent.i.tled to half of his shares and a.s.sets, but Master wants to leave all of them under your name. He has signed the doc.u.ments."

Tsubaki pursed her lips. The hands of hers that were tightly clutching on the doc.u.ments were shaking. She felt that it was too reckless of him to hand over these shares and a.s.sets to her. He was basically throwing away all of his fortune to her!
"Master really hopes for you to sign it, Madam. This could help you during tomorrow's meeting." Matsuzaki looked conflicted as he was trying to persuade her. He could read what was his Madam was thinking. It was so obvious on her face.
"He said that?" Her voice lowered and turned a few degrees colder. She loosened her grip on the papers.
"Yes..."
"So, let's sign it."
Matsuzaki was dumbfounded by her response when Tsubaki reached out for a pen from the pen holder on the table. The pen felt cool to her touch. She uncapped the pen and stared at the blank s.p.a.ce above her name. His exquisite signature was right beside hers.
"I'll let him know by myself the consequences of his actions. If he wasn't afraid of me running away with all his wealth, I'll just accept this."
With a look so determined, she signed on the papers. Each of her stroke was filled with her frustration. Her signature complemented well with his.
The transfer was finally completed.
Right beside Tsubaki, the poor a.s.sistant was too afraid to say anything as he felt a murdering aura coming from his young Madam. It was clear that she was really furious over his Master's decision.
I'll pray for your safety later, Master.
