A man being tied up to a chair, panting, running out of breath. He tries to explain things to the person holding a gun at him, "No, no. What's wrong with you people, my group is not involved in this, it was Serenade!"
"Right…" a feminine voice was heard from that person, "But you were the one who told her though. How unfortunate…" The man's eyes widened, "No, I—"
*BANG*
His brain shattered from the shot in the back of his head.
A sigh she let out. The room is filled with drops of blood scattered all over the floors, the ceiling, and even the walls have been painted red. Another woman in shrouded uniform walked in with bags filled to the brink, "Wooh, you're really making a mess there, hon. On your period or something?" she asked.
"Shut up. How's your end?" m.u.f.fled as she asked her. The woman has no patience for jokes, had it been a funny one, she might crack for one.
"Fufu, feast your eyes" letting the bags down, "They're so rich, honey. Can't help myself but take a few… for myself, Hehehe."
Irritation welling up inside the woman's mouth. Her companion came out from the most secure safe ever built with a bag in each hand. Though hogging them all up was not supposed to be her objective. "You, I told you to burn them!"
"Geh, I know, but… we can just keep it, you know. Besides, I've prepared some fakies in there and burn that instead. We're good."
The woman palmed her head, "Kurira, can't you just use your brain, what makes you think people are not going to find out that it's fake money?"
Now that she has brought it up, Kurira indeed hasn't thought of such possibility. "Well, I mean…" shrugging, "I don't think they will?"
The woman clicked her tongue. She's done with it. Arguing would just tire her out. It's not worth it. "Whatever. Do what you want" sighing, "Let's just go, I know where she is now."
"Mm?"
Kurira pondered about why she is in a hurry, she should've known that they are completely safe now. Even if there will be some unprecedented appearance, they can just handle it when it happens.
The woman clicked her tongue once again, "Come on!!"
"All right, all right. You don't need to yell."
Kurira took the bags and then followed her to the outside. The buzzing noise of the flickering light keeps hissing under the woman's ears. She shook it off the same she flicks the gun's magazine aside and replaced it a new. After pocketing it, she adjusted her gloves and took off her mask. A beautiful young woman was unveiled.
Skin as bright as snow, hairs as black as night, and silver eyes ready to shoot silver against the creature of the night. The thin armor of her enemies' suit is nothing when they meet its gaze, whether it's the gun or her eyes… it's all the same.
The room next door has been wreaked havoc, countless people have been torn apart all over the place. The lights keep bleeping on and off, and the two walked underneath it. The woman put her mask back in her pocket and took out a black-neon cigarette as she walked into the elevator.
Kurira pushes the b.u.t.ton down by kicking it and the woman smoke as the door closes. In the upper corner of the narrowed s.p.a.ce, lies the security camera… it has been shot broken. It is easy to guess how it led to such state.
They go down several floors below, to the first floor.
As it opens, the place is completely in ruin. All of its people are lying around all over the place, one even stuck to the ceiling while the other stuck underneath a table.
There is someone that is still alive and struggling to crawl back outside.
Something as minor and relevant as him poses no threat even if he were to survive. Spinning the cigarette that the woman smoke, her eyes were clouded each time she took a whiff. That thing is an electric type cig and produces a lot of clouds, it is a lot healthier than regular smoke people used in the old generation.
She took another breath and went past the crawling man.
He only saw bits of them, the features that the women have. With a single glance, one can tell that the man's injury is quite severe, only with a miracle can he be saved. The woman's companion glanced at him. She was surprised that someone still yet to kick the bucket. "Oh d.a.m.n, you're still alive. Here let me help you."
The man's throat is dried to the bone, "Huh, what are you." He looks up, seeing Kurira hastily walk up to him. He was even more shocked when he found out that, she does indeed try to help him. But not in a way that is actually counting as "Help".
Kurira raised her leg, and then smashed his head with her feet.
*Takk*
The man broke his nose with his teeth fall all over. He's constantly gasping for air as Kurira lets her feet leave his face. However, she raised her foot again and stomped him again.
*Takk*
Lifting it up again.
*Takk*
*Takk*
Each of her stomps keeps getting harder and harder each time she does it. Her shoes have already painted in deep red, yet she doesn't stop.
*Takk*
*BANG*
Though, she did quickly stop with a sudden gunshot from the woman who is waiting for her by the door. The man's head is completely gone by that bullet.
Shrugging as she rejoined her again. That was fun she thought, yet she couldn't enjoy it since there is that woman around. Though, she didn't mind it.
The said woman along with her companion, Kurira, walked outside and went inside a super-sports car. Kurira took off her mask, revealing an edgy-sided purple hair with many piercing on her ears. Heavily makeup in goth and she got a b.i.t.c.h tattoos on her neck.
The woman in the driver's wheel threw an old generation phone at her and she catches it neatly. The woman said, "Just tell them the group was already done in by someone when we got in, they know nothing about the girl."
Kurira nodded like she doesn't care, "Okay."
She tapped the phone really fast, and after she sent the message to the local police group. She crushed the phone entirely and throw it outside, soon after, it's burning out of nowhere.
The woman ga.s.sed up and slowly drive outside the premise.
…
Pa.s.sing many skysc.r.a.pers inside the city, the woman drives the car normally. Kurira helped her navigate the map and tell her which direction she has to go, 400 to the right."
"…"
Her eyes are restless. Even though the woman has been Cyberized to an extreme, there is a limit to how long the brain can handle staying awake all the time.
After a gas up, she drifted to the right. And then ga.s.sed it even faster.
"You okay?"
The woman glanced, "Yeah, we're about to meet her. I'm really excited."
Kurira's expression hardened, gasping, "Listen, err, w-what if… when we meet her. She doesn't remember us?"
The woman ga.s.sed up once again, "What are you talking about. Of course, she will remember. Don't mix our bond that poorly like you forgot to wear your socks."
"That's…" sighing, "Come on, Rakuri. It's been two years, even if she got reincarnated back. Somethings must've happened."
"… What's your point."
"…" Kurira's chest tightened, "Like… what if she got another—"
*BAM*
Rakuri punched Kurira so strongly that it broke the gla.s.s window, she moves in further and chokes her, "You b.i.t.c.h, you're supposed to be helping ME!!"
"Nghf" Kurira hold the wheels with her foot and then kicked Rakuri to the ceiling, leaving her neck alone. She raised her hand and smack her down again.
*BAM*
Kurira holds her head and then throws her to the back. "Calm down, f.u.c.k!"
Rakuri recovers and about to punched her again, but Kurira's hand already moved beforehand. Doing an uppercut, Kurira smashes her jaw to the ceiling.
*BANG*
Falling down, she punches her again.
*BAM*
Rakuri was pinned to the back, "Ngh, you…"
Kurira took the driver's seat, "Relax, okay? Geez, you almost killed us. This is my last VM, you know."
"…" Rakuri's face is quite broken because of the punches she took. Revealing many metal plates and wires. However, slowly… it's regenerating back, although, without skin, the metal plate has covered her enough to cover half of her broken face.
Glancing down in broken heart, Rakuri said, "I know she's not, she didn't… she won't do that to me. Im sure… she's still waiting for me."
Kurira took out a spray can and use it on the car window, soon after, it reverts back to normal. As she put it back, she said, "Then what would you do if she's not?"
"Again, why are you—"
"CAUSE YOU'RE TOO f.u.c.kING OBSESSED!" letting the heavy breath out, "Cheating aside, what if she just don't remember? We've spent so much time looking for her in this rotten place, just to know she's been living peacefully in High Sec!"
"…"
Rakuri's face hardened.
"I'm not telling you to give up. Just take a break some time. I don't want you to sleep when we got hit by a TK."
"…" Rakuri sighed, "Sorry."
Kurira suddenly stopped the car, "All right, get out."
"Huh?"
"We're here."
Rakuri's eyes widened, she turned her head around and saw the see-through aluminum fences. Behind it are very thick and dried bushes and trees.
They went out of the car and gazed around in disbelief. Kurira muttered, "Well, guess she didn't lie about the swamp. Wish she'd told us where it was."
Rakuri went inside and past the shadow of many trees, heading to the bridge. Kurira took out her gun and activated her enhanced sight. Making it possible to see multiple colors at once, with each indicating different things.
Rakuri glanced around, and she arrived at the old building. The ceiling is already pouring dust and the door looks like it's about to break from a light touch.
She swallowed her saliva and went inside. As she opens the door, her eyes widened with the sight that is in front of her. That one thing that separates the visual of the entire house.
A Capsule.
Turning her head around, she found that the place is empty, but has been occupied until recently. Stepping inside, she caresses the sofa and found it… smells. Gently and very slowly, she rested her head on it. Inhaling the remaining scent. She opened her eyes and it starts getting watery.
Kurira has arrived inside and found her lying there. She just ignored it and continue to look around, heading inside the bathroom.
Slowly, Rakuri is getting up and head towards the capsule. She found a piece of cloth inside, it's a towel. She couldn't reach it because the capsule won't open. Shifting her eyes around, she found a bag full of clothes and there are some lying around. She took those and quickly sniff them.
*Fuuhhhhhhhhhh *Haaaaaaa
Tears flowing out of her eyes, but as it reaches her lips… it tilted. Looking back to the clothes, she hugged them.
A moment after, Kurira came back from the bathroom. "Dusty 5 grand, markings all over the place… She was here" she said.
"Mhm."
Shifting the attention back at the shirt again, Rakuri's heart filled with many emotions and joy. She gripped the clothes tightly and mumbling with trembling lips, "We're coming soon… Dola."
