Tring-ring-ring!! Sound of an old alarm, waking up the sun.

Slowly… I open my eyes, "Mm… nuh-uh?"

*Thud!

"Ouch, my b..."

Accidentally rolling around made me drop from the sofa.

"Hm?"

I smell something narcotic, "What the h.e.l.l is that smell… no wait, it's me"

Turns out my armpits just became a bio-weapon.

I look around, gazing up and down, to found myself in a not so empty and cramped room.

"I'm Alive?"

Certainly, it feels like it.

Stretching my thin arms to the back I let out a bit moan, "Hnnn…'

I sighed, "Where am I… did somebody kidnap me or something?"

Sluggishly, I stood up.

Walking around the environment, I can see that I'm in an old rundown house.

The living room mixed up with the kitchen, there is a small bathroom and no bedroom.

Thinking to myself, 'Hmm, there is not even a bed here too, just a sofa'

Something feels off though.

Gazing inside the empty fridge, I realize something, "I feel like I know this place"

As I Pondered through my thoughts I sat on the sofa, there are many theories for the genius me but one that stood out is…

"The past… yeah, maybe that is it."

Shifting my eyes to the Calendar, there is a red circle around one of the days, September 28, 2076.

"Heeeh, I see I see"

So, that is indeed the case, I'm back to 4 years before that incident.

"Hmm... but how?"

I shook my head, "I don't think it can be solved so easily, let's drop the topic for now"

Suddenly, a faint smell flow through my nose.

"Bah, this is bad. My armpits now have turned into an aphrodisiac."

Rising from my seat, I walk to the bathroom.

"Ugh, so itchy…"

As soon as I entered, my eyes stopped at a mirror just at the opposite of the shower. Chuckled when I look at myself, "Heh, so I went back to this ugly face"

A nerdy kind of look with freckles and no makeup. "Hmm, somehow I kind of like it"

It put a smile on my face, seeing my face went back to the origin. I had numerous surgeries in the future, make myself looks like a Diva. People can remake their faces if they want to, as long as one has the money to pay for it.

"Hehehe, if I look at it myself, I'm really hot"

A little bit of background, my name is Siola Mithra, I used to be some kind of princess but because of my sister's jealousy, my life turned upside down and this is before I made a living off from a video game and got shot dead.

I'm not comfortable talking about that right now, but the point is that I gave up trying to get revenge.

I know I'm a coward, well, it's not because of that reason alone that I failed.

Wealth, Power, and Connection.

These three are the core foundation that makes someone truly "Important"

You just can't go toe to toe with an entire family when you barely have enough of those.

How do I know this?

Well, it happened to me.

I did it and look where I am now.

Miserable is the word for it.

Stripping down my clothes, revealing a skinny figure with its board chest. I sighed and turned on the shower.

Before I talk about the game, there is one thing that I need to clarify. I came back to 4 years before the incident happens, just after I got kicked out of my house and my fiancé married my sister a few months ago, that happen in this current timeline.

Back then when I start making money, that jerk would come and extort me every few weeks. Threatening me that he would ruin my family... even though I hate some of them, there are good people there also.

Clenching my fist with my head on the wall, "Why did I even fall for him anyway..."

I shook my head, "No, I shouldn't have said that"

Yeah, believe it or not, Leon used to be a timid and gentle person when he was a kid. We used to play together all the time.

I wonder what made him change so much.

Looking out from a window at the bathroom, I saw large green plants and greenish substance.

It's a swamp… and it feels so empty, literally.

I live in Desolated Sector 6, just as the name says it is indeed desolate. This place doesn't have flying cars, but it has flying ants that can shoot bullets. Desolated Sector is filled with the waste of society, lots of sick people and I mean it both ways.

Turning off and on, playing with the shower… I tried to use warm water.

"O-Ooh... this is..."

The shower here is not bad.

Thinking about it for a moment, this should be the time when I was about to break. I had many opportunities, yet I wasted all of them. It's truly a miracle that I even survived back then.

Giggling to myself, "Hehe, not a bad time to do a Restart though"

There is one thing that made my situation flip-up, one that catapults me up to the sky and reaches the highlife.

And That is a... game.

It is called Ekolia. I don't know who named it but it sure is cringy. Well, of course, I know who made the game, it's just the name, you know… it's weird.

But anyway, it has been 2 years since the game came out, and the time I start playing it was around one and a half years later on in the future.

I had a really fun time, it's quite a gamble... oh, and let me tell you a little secret, well it's not really a secret since I'm going to tell you anyway, but still...

Back then, I used to ignore the game, since I don't like to play popular games. But, When I saw other people playing the game... for the first time, I was entranced by it.

I thought to myself, "What did I miss?"

I didn't have any money, so I purposely injured myself by jumping off from a high building near a hospital. My legs were broken, tons of blood gushing out, it was truly a miracle that I was able to survive that, not that I was thinking much of it then.

But it was worth it.

I started playing it with the Hospital Capsule and it went... really... well

Making money from the game is quite easy if you aim it low, not for me. I always aim higher and I mean it real high.

Becoming a pro at the game net me quite the network, I spent my days just loitering around IRL (In Real Life) but ferociously active inside the game.

What I like to do most is beating up noobs who think they are good after playing just 100 hours of the game, making a new character and go at it with Level 10 vs Level 100.

Heh, I'm sure you know which is which and who came out alive in the end.

Tapping my feet on the ground, lightly hopping my head up and down, letting out a beat, I sang, "Too many thoughts on my mind I can't sleep at night, so I just keep writing... I don't need no help, I don't need opinions so don't waste my then..."

"... Telling me I should do this, telling me I should do that…"

I guess my voice now is not so bad...

I met those two girls while playing the game and they teach me quite a lot of it since I was still a noob back then, they were even kind enough to power level me and help with getting and do various stuff.

"Lately I'm livin' in fear, wondering what if the end is so near..."

Lifting my finger in the sky, "They been quite all along, they gon notice when I'm gone…" and swings it down. "Uhuh" That cheered me up a lot.

But enough with the past or the future whatever, I don't have so much time to think about every single thing.

Stepping out of the shower, I wear my clothes again, a long sleeve shirt and old fashion jeans since that is the only one that I have.

"Th-This is bad, I almost have no other clothes"

Checking out my purse I feel saddened, "Hmm… I don't have a phone…"

Of course, I don't have a phone, almost n.o.body uses a phone nowadays. Though I've heard that it is still common in Normal Sector.

Only 16$ left, that wouldn't be enough for even a day in the High Sector but here… it should last me for 3 days at least… maybe. a.s.suming that I can get the Capsule soon, it'll last even more. But if not, I'll be dead or worse I have to sell this body... well, the latter seems to be something that I would need to do sooner or later.

That would be a surefire way to earn money, but I wonder if there is someone out there that would even want this body.

As I go outside, I went to lock the door.

I rest my back on the metal fences of the wooden bridge, the water underneath is…

Looking at the scenery of the swamp makes me want to vomit... disgusting.

I sighed, there is nothing I can do but to accept it.

After all, I did this to myself.

"I need money, the cost of the capsule is 100.000$, and it's impossible for the current me at the moment."

I wish I have an inhaler right now, I'm totally in need of breathing.

Alas, I can only enjoy what I have right now…

I don't have anything though…

But, the sun…

So bright…

Closing my eyes, I let all of its light warm me up.
