It's so embarra.s.sing… that I cried like that.

Several minutes have pa.s.sed, I have calmed down now.

Ludwig made some tea— coffee, he even made it with his own hand, he could've just used magic instead. I mean Avarice can do it with her Telekinesis (?), I'm sure he can as well.

"Here," he said.

He put the coffee and some biscuits on the table along with some food.

I feel so bad right now, not only that I was so rude, I even talked nonsense… to him of all people. "S-Sorry about that, I was—"

"You do not have to worry about it"

He said it to calm me down, but his voice brings shivers down my spine.

*Chomp*

Sinking my teeth in the food he gave me; I don't know what it is. A scary piranhlike fish in between a loaf of bread, it's surprisingly good.

"Is it to your liking?" he asked.

My eyes glitter as I nodded repeatedly.

"Hrrm" Ludwig let out a groan of satisfaction, it seems that he's glad that I liked the food he gave me. He then said, "I see that… one of your soul has… quite the history"

I nodded; I wish it was a pleasant one but alas. "Your last word hit me hard, asking me why I killed you, that's stupid to ask someone like me," I said.

"Then... do you not have a reason… of why you killed me?"

Shuddered, my heart aching when I tried to recall it.

"I don't. I just heard a rumor that there is some kind of… terrifyingly powerful being. So, I followed every guidance as closely as possible, then I sensed it…

"… I went to check out the place and there's you in there…"

"Did I attack you?"

Thinking calmly about it, he didn't, I feel like the genius me, is becoming more and more stupid.

I shook my head and said, "My Companions and I just saw you with a Black Dragon, so we do what we always do… killing monsters"

"A Black Dragon, you say? Hmm, where exactly did you… encounter me?"

"… The Demon King's Frozen Castle"

"Ahh…"

It feels like he put 2 and 2 together in an instant.

Suddenly, he summoned a book. A Black Book with a Silver Tree at its center, there is also a Symbol underneath and it says… Purgatory.

'Doesn't look like he minded me looking'

He spoke as he flips through the pages, "I see, so that's how it is… My future has already been determined. Reclaiming the Demon King's Throne and be killed by you, a Traveler"

"…"

"…Yes…"

He tilted his head in confusion, "However, my plan for that reclamation is a hundred years later in the future… Hmm… I see I see…"

Putting down his book, he shifted his socket-less eyes back at me.

"… Mortal, you have changed the current pa.s.sage of time... now that you are not planning to stop me, who might potentially be... the destructor of your own kind…"

"… What is your... objective, right now? Do you have… anything you want to do at all?"

My expression hardened, I don't know about the former but I need some money, a lot of money. That's why I'm playing this game, but other than that…

There is none when it comes to this world, I just want to level up quickly and sell rare items to players, and get rich fast.

All of it in order to make money, but… if there is something I want to do, then yeah… I do have one thing. I look back at him with a pair of determined eyes, and said, "I want to experience it… all of what this world offers"

Ludwig laid his back, pondering left and right. "I see… then how about… you serve me. I cannot promise… that you will experience everything. However, you can experience the larger scale of what this world... offered"

I look at him in awe, if what he said it the truth— no, it must be and if it is, I wouldn't mind serving him… I'll put my faith in him.

Looking at him straight in the eye, I spoke, "Alright… I will serve you… Ludwig"

He chuckled, I wonder if it's too cringy or what. Maybe something is funny… I don't understand.

Ludwig lifted his arm, opening his hand and directing them to my head.

Then a Magi Seal appeared on top of me, and suddenly... my vision went dark.

There is… an Image... it's the G.o.d and the G.o.ddess, along with their army, they are fighting against the Dark Lords and the army of Demons.

Multiple Notification pop up at the side of my visions.

My eyes dilated as I see the last one, "A Slave, huh"

Ludwig spoke in a grunting tone, "Do you… regret it, Mortal?"

"No, Ludwig. This…"

Slave or whatever, I don't care. Though, I do hope that they won't go rough on me again.

Bowing my head to him, I spoke sincerely, "Thank you, Master"

"Mortal— no... Luosa. Do not mention it"

It's as if he has accepted me. It made me happy

And so, I bowed to him once more with an immense respect

'Eyes of the World, that is a new one'

There is no need to dig deeper because sooner or later, I will know of it all.

Ludwig patted my head again, he told me not to call him "Master", he said that he doesn't like the word, it made me happy, and then that warm feeling comes back to me again it. I closed my eyes as he caresses me.

I can really… get used to this.

We came back to the Library and everyone is already waiting there, Ludtleth, Malice… and even Avarice who was still guarding the entrance came here as well.

Somehow, it makes me happy that she's come. She smiled at me warmly.

'I guess they all know that I will be leaving'

Ludwig removed one of his rings and handed it to me.

"Here, take this… as a Traveler, you can return after death, but this will allow you to defy the death itself, although temporarily."

[Ludwig's Ring] (Account Bound)

Effect: Ethereal, temporarily makes you Immune to any kind of damage once your health reached 0%, lasts for 10 seconds, allowing you to recover Attributes based on your Intelligent u0026 Faith.

I grip the ring tightly and then wear it on my left index, I look back at him and smiled. "Thank you," I said.

Ludwig nodded, He then starts chanting magic, and a staff appeared out of thin air, it suddenly changes to a longer form when in contact with his hand.

He taps it to the ground, creating an unfamiliar Magi Seal unknown to me.

"Luosa"

Someone just said my name, it was Ludtleth, "Take care of yourself out there" he said

I lowered my head with sincerity.

As I look up, I saw a bright warm smile coming from them.

A bright light appeared beneath me, 'This Magi Seal feels quite the same as when a player finishes the Starter Camp,' I thought.

I look up to him, to Ludwig and asked him, "Will I be seeing you again?"

"…"

He took a moment to respond, but then he nodded.

That put a little smile on my face, I look around and they rest are waving at me, I wave back at them with a bright smile on my face.

*Swooost*

With the light Magi Seal emits, I can no longer see outside of the circle and then in an instant…

Everything went blank.

(Quick Creator/Author's Note)

/ Cla.s.s: Single Path, it means that the Occupation has only one cla.s.s in it, and the cla.s.s will be displayed as the Occupation. Another example would be a Paladin, which consists of Warrior, Cleric and Mage would mean that it's a Multi-Path Cla.s.s.

/ This won't be mentioned a lot so I will tell you now. Religion is just like what it says… although for Players it is less than a Worship, one sees it merely as a group or Faction. Which will become a thing of its own, but anyway, Religion, it works like this: Dedicating a Religion to the G.o.d of War, Dolemn, means that you will be included in his Faction, Hall of Valhalla, which is a Neutral Faction. There are many more Faction out there and some of them are Hidden.

/ Lastly, it's important. The reason, why some of the terms are not being told, is that this story focuses on Siola, the protagonist's perspective. Narrations are being told by her, so everything that she knows or what's on her mind will be narrated but if she doesn't know it, then she won't tell it but might comment on it sometimes.
