“Please stay over next time.” (Shiori)
Shiori says at the door when I’m leaving for home.
Holding hands, Kaori and I walk the short distance to my house. Apparently, I set a flag for Kaori when I asked her to teach me how to care for my hair properly, but even so, I still can’t bring myself to use the bath at someone else’s house.
There is also Shiori’s invitation. It was impossible to refuse and now I have to stay over next weekend.
Although, as long as I am staying there I don’t have to worry about Torigetsu just showing up.
The incident at school made me feel as if I were going to be stalked, so I hid at Kaori’s house.
Unintentionally, I look around when we reach the entrance to my house and thankfully, I don’t see anyone.
Heaving a silent sigh of relief, I unlocked the door and went inside.
“I’m going to be taken by Torigetsu… Hey!” (Kei)
I remembered what Shiori said while we were eating.
This is the first time since we entered high school that I have been to Kaori’s house or more likely, since I started hanging out with Torigetsu in junior high.
Regardless, we always went to school together, so I didn’t think anything of it.
Well, that’s what Shiori said, it's not something I care to think about.
“Alright, let’s take a bath and then get some sleep.” (Kei)
I head up the stairs to my room, I mean the room I moved to when I became a girl, not the room I had as a boy.
This room is set up to suit my present self.
If I had changed my room I had to suit the me now and somehow returned to being a boy, it would be troubling when someone visited it.
I won’t admit it, but secretly, I had a lot of fun setting up this room to suit me.
When I was a boy, it wouldn’t have been dignified. No, to be honest, I had no idea how to make a girl’s room, because I was a boy.
One reason is I’m not a pervert like Torigetsu.
I had a lot of fun when actually doing it.
I’m a girl now, so when I’m buying cute things, I don’t feel out of place and no one would look at me oddly.
I have a stuffed animal I got from a UFO catcher on my nightstand.
The nightstand itself is a round table that has a box stool with cute pink-patterned cushion that matches it.
Yes, I know. It still doesn’t quite feel like a girl’s room yet, but it’s getting there.
I take my change of clothes out of the closet and head straight to the bath.
In the shower, I use the shampoo, conditioner, and rinse in the order as Kaori instructed me.
I dry my hair with the hair dryer and then touch it, but I suppose it isn’t going to change all that much after one time.

[Ding Dong]
The doorbell rang while I was getting ready for school the next morning.
Apparently, Kaori came to pick me up.
Of course, because she is a childhood friend, she doesn’t come to wake me up in bed.
I'm not saying it's never happened, but that’s another story.
I said I was getting ready, but really I was waiting for Kaori to arrive, so I pick up my bag and open the door.
“~Morning!~” (Kei)
“…Morning.” (Kaori)
I say to Kaori as soon as I open the door and she returns it after a moment’s hesitation.
Even if I do say so myself, it’s been a while since I became a girl, but I’m still not quite used to it.
“Did you rinse after conditioning?” (Kaori)
Kaori asks, as we’re walking to the station to check what I did yesterday.
“Yes, I did everything in the order you told me to.” (Kei)
I run my fingers thru my hair to show that it wouldn’t tangle, while I’m doing so, Kaori also reaches out and softly touches my hair.
“Hmm... is it more tangled than yesterday?” (Kaori)
I don't really know.
“I don’t understand why.” (Kei)
It’s stupid to compare my hair now with the hair I had as a boy, because now my hair is long, glossy, and smooth.
I touch my hair again, but it's still silky and glossy.
“Well, the day will come when it will be fine.” (Kaori)
Her pompous look is more than a bit annoying.
I’m glaring at Kaori thru slit eyes when I notice the station and take out my commuter pa.s.s.
“What's wrong?” (Kaori)
Kaori asked after we had gotten to the train station to head for school, because I was looking around us so much.
“I feel like someone is watching me.” (Kei)
“…eh?” (Kaori)
I was looking around as I said this to Kaori, but I can’t see any dubious people.
I mean, I feel as if someone is watching me since we got here.
I still feel as if someone is watching, even after getting off at the station for the school. Could it possibly be someone who attends our school?
“No way, could it be Torigetsu?” (Kaori)
Kaori had said the same thing I was thinking, while the both of us continue to look around vigilantly.
Hey, don’t set up a flag. I know it was me, but I don’t want to think about it.
We slowly walk the route to school while people pa.s.s around us. It makes us stand out a bit and my back tenses up just thinking that I hear Torigetsu’s perverted ‘hehehe’.
However, in the end, we made it to school without seeing him.
“…It was all in our mind.” (Kaori)
“No, I still feel like someone is looking, so my back is really tense.” (Kei)
I change into my indoor shoes, crouch down to place my shoes in my lower locker, and out of the corner of my eye, a shadow appears.
“[Uhehehe]” (Torigetsu)
(TN: It’s a perverted laugh.)
“—AH!!?” (Kei)
I exclaimed and momentarily froze when I heard that sick laugh. The feeling I had wasn’t all in my mind.
“Kei, what are you doing?” (Kaori)
Kaori asks me, as I quickly shove my shoes into the locker.
I look at Kaori with terrified eyes. Kaori then turns her back to me and stares defiantly into Torigetsu’s eyes.
“Leave this to me and go ahead!” (Kaori)
“Well, what is it? I'm just looking at her from a distance.” (Torigetsu)
Torigetsu says obstinately to Kaori, which also gave me gooseb.u.mps.
Looking over Kaori’s shoulder the expression I see on Torigetsu’s face is dangerous.
“Kaori, I’m so sorry!” (Kei)
I turn my back on the scene and flee to the cla.s.sroom.
