The news had somehow been pa.s.sed up to the upper echelons of the country.

Everyone wanted to know what Ren Baqian was up to.

"Earth is too dangerous. Having them around will prevent incidents like the last one from happening," Ren Baqian explained.

"That was just an accident," Yang Sen replied. "We have examined the flying motorcycle wreckage and determined that the most likely cause was a vehicle malfunction."

"Yeah and that car crash was also an accident!" Ren Baqian said sarcastically.

"Don't worry, I won't bring too many people," Ren Baqian added.

"So it's not just the three of them?" asked Yang Sen when he noticed Ren Baqian's words.

"Just a few more, not too many. There are so many people on Earth already, what's a few dozen more?"

"They are different!"

"Don't worry, we are really all the same. I'll control them and ensure that we operate under the law. I've always been a law-abiding citizen, and I'll make sure that my subordinates are as well!"

Regardless, Ren Baqian had already decided to bring more people over. Doing so had alarmed the bureaucrats while inspiring thoughts in others.

On the one hand, they were uncomfortable with the idea that Ren Baqian could simply bring experts over like that. These experts were extremely powerful, and regular firearms wouldn't be sufficient to deal with them.

A single expert's destructive power could easily match that of a small military division.

On the other hand, if Ren Baqian was able to bring people over to Earth, surely the reverse was possible as well? Ren Baqian had previously mentioned that it was difficult, but that most certainly didn't appear to be the case. Perhaps there were limitations, which explained why he only brought three.

This meant that it was possible if they stayed within the limit.

But what was the actual limit?

Were there other methods besides going through Ren Baqian?

Many people were dying to uncover the secret, but none dared to risk offending Ren Baqian. After all, they still had to rely on him for a lot of things. Furthermore, having those burly men around made it even harder to approach him.

"They must be screened for infectious diseases! You know the drill. People from different environments can carry vastly different bacteria. Their presence might already be endangering us all!"

"Have there been any new diseases that are linked to me?" Ren Baqian casually asked. He had traveled between the two worlds so many times, but hadn't caused any outbreaks.

After discussing with Yang Sen, Ren Baqian agreed to let the three winged cavalry warriors be screened.

It was sort of like putting pets from overseas in quarantine.

However, Ren Baqian was very sure that Yang Sen's true motive was to study their physical makeup.

The location of the checkup was a dead giveaway.

They were to be screened within Messier 87's lab. Ren Baqian brought the three wide-eyed warriors to the laboratory for five hours of testing.

The day pa.s.sed without much incident, save for a small mishap. The three men had injured more than ten of the so-called "screening officers" when Ren Baqian and Yang Sen walked off for a chat. Despite the winged cavalry warriors holding back, the most severely injured individual had a rib fracture.

The winged cavalry warriors had attacked because their b.a.l.l.s were touched!

Two men were sitting on top of a black off-road vehicle with binoculars in hand. Parked several hundred meters away from a villa, they were surveying the three impossibly burly man-bears wearing oversized sweatpants in front of the villa.

One of them was doing shoulder presses with a black sedan above his head while the other two were sparring. As if a bulldozer had made its way through, all the ground around them had been dug out.

The things they were seeing made them question reality.

"Is everyone from the other world like this?" one of the observers asked.

"I don't think so. I heard that there are ordinary citizens," the other answered.

"The scene here reminds me of an alien invasion…"

"… That's actually quite true! I suppose anyone from somewhere beyond Earth can be considered an alien?"

The two men had a good chat as they continued their surveillance.

"Do you think it's another planet? I believe it might exist on the other side of the Earth!"

"The United States of America is what's on the other side…"

Ren Baqian stayed on Earth for four days to make arrangements for the three winged cavalry warriors.

He had at least managed to teach them some important laws to abide by.

For instance… no killing. He taught them to check the ident.i.ty of anyone who came knocking. They were instructed not to beat Shen Feng, the cooks, the cleaner, the food delivery man, the police…

It was no mean feat getting them to learn who they should attack and who they shouldn't.

Ren Baqian had also hired five well-built cooks. Cooks who could handle large woks with ease were typically quite fit. Even though they looked pretty hardy, they were still rather small when compared to the three experts.

Ren Baqian felt that the food served up by these cooks was barely satisfactory.

The most important thing was that they could maintain this standard even when cooking large batches.

Even though the food was barely pa.s.sable, it was sufficient for the winged cavalry.

Ren Baqian had yet to settle their accommodations, so they slept on mattresses on the living room floor.

The three of them had no complaints whatsoever. They were used to camping out in the open, so the mattresses were already an upgrade.

They strongly believed that they were sleeping on jade and precious stones.

"I'm going to warn you guys one more time. This place is completely different from Dayao, so no killing is allowed. Do not beat anyone up unless they are enemies. Li was an uncommon surname in Dayao. Besides Li Ze, the only other Li that Ren Baqian knew was Li Tanhua, the Captain Li that was mentioned.

"Okay, I'll find someone good for her to marry!" Ren Baqian chuckled.

"Ah, that's great too!" Li Ze replied. "If she gets married, I'll find someone else when I get back!"

Ren Baqian sighed. Sometimes, it was really frustrating to talk to these blockheads.

The next instant, Ren Baqian vanished into thin air. He brought with him bags filled with skunk bombs, exam scripts, binoculars, and infrared detectors.

Additionally, he requested for some of those power scanners, the kind that Yang Sen had shown him, but they would only be available the next time he came back.

"Is he really gone?" The trio of winged cavalry warriors stared at the spot where Ren Baqian had stood just moments ago. They even reached out to confirm.

"How magical. That Hearthstone is truly something."

"Oh wait, Sir Ren forgot to allocate guard duty shifts!"

"Let's settle it with a duel! Loser gets the graveyard shift!"

"I'm hungry! Let's ask the cook for food! We'll fight it out after lunch!"

"Yesterday's red braised meat was pretty good!"

"I feel like I can eat a horse after this morning's training. Let's ask for more food."

The food was served up soon after.

"Didn't Sir Ren mention that someone named Teacher was coming? What does he look like?"

"Who's it?" One of them opened the door and fiercely stared at the person outside.

"I, I, I'm sorry… My name is An Ran! I have previously spoken to the owner of this house… He was looking for a home tutor…" Standing in front of the doorway was a bespectacled young man who quivered at the sight of the large burly man in front of him.
