I tried to get up, and thankfully he didn't stop me. Actually, he was helping me.

"Thanks.." I said.

He just smiled. What is up with this guy? Seriously? And there it was, the dreaded awkward silence..

I accidentally laughed aloud at the thought of it, and was quickly embarra.s.sed with what I did. I hid my burning face in my hands. Uuuugh.

"You have a cute laugh." Oh gosh. I forgot that he was still with me.

I just stare down on the floor, hoping that my hair would cover my face enough.

"So, what's your name?"

"Oh.. Uhm.. Bridgette.."

"Cool, I'm Mac. My friends call me Mackie, you can call me that too if you want."

"Hmm.. Mac.. Okay.."

Awkward silence..

"So how are you Bridgette?" He said, breaking the silence. I keep forgetting that I'm with someone at the moment.

"Uhm. To be honest, really bored and sleepy." He laughed at that.

"Why? Aren't you with friends or something?"

"Actually, my friend's around here somewhere but he hasn't contacted me yet. So I'm stuck walking around like an idiot, trying to blend in."

He laughed again. What is so funny, guy? When he finally did stop laughing at me, he started talking to me so casually..

"Since you're all alone right now, and I'm also practically alone, why don't we accompany each other? Just for tonight. I mean, it is a party after all, and you're supposed to have fun at these things."

I just looked at him. His smile didn't fade. He has nice teeth.. Wait, what?

"Just for tonight?" I asked,

"Yup."

"And we're never gonna see each other afterwards?" He shrugged and laughed again. Oh dear.. What am I getting myself into right now..

"Sure. Why not. It's not like anything's going to happen right?" Was my response. He just smiled.

Oh no.. This is bad.. This is very bad.. He's dangerous.. I know it.. Stop yourself right now before you do anything stupid like hurt yourself..

Before anything more was said, a familiar face came into view.

"Monica!" He said aloud, walking towards my direction.

"Lance!" Mac said with open arms. Huh?

"Mac? Hey!" They bro-hugged, and I was left staring in awe. What is happening..? They.. Know each other..? How..?

They must have forgotten that I was there because I was able to escape once more. This time, however, I planned to drink a little more than I originally planned. This is going to end up badly when I wake up the next day, but oh well. I feel like drinking tonight anyway.

Yes.. Drink it all away. It's just for one night. Nothing bad will happen.

"Why are you always running away?" He said in my ear.

"What?" I shouted.

"I said you're cute." He shouted back. My vision was a little hazy now, so I can't be sure if he was smiling or if it's just the strobe lights playing with me.

"Okay." Was all that I could manage. Ugh. I wanna.. Dance.

And so I did. Maybe. I don't know. I don't care anymore. Hahahaha!!!

"You okay?" He shouted.

"Huh?" I just looked at him. He smiled at me. And then.. He kissed me.. Well, more lilke he pressed his lips on mine. They tasted like alcohol. Of course it would. Wait.. HE KISSED ME. I barely even have the strength to let go..

I guess he noticed my discomfort because he finally let go of me. Huh.. He was holding onto me, as I to him.. Oh wow. Thanks alcohol and dancing..

This is going to be an unforgettable night for me..
