Zeul City: City Of Mavens 10 Chapter 10- Headmistress

"Is there an Azure and Azrael here?" Someone said in the door. He looks young, maybe a year older than Azure. I don't think he's a student though, he's not wearing a uniform.

"Yes, we're here Senior Klein." Azure said.

"Oh Azure. Mistress Leiane wants you in her office, you and Azrael." that senior Klein said.

"The headmistress? Did he tell you why?" Azure asked.

"Hmm no she didn't. But I think it's about for the upcoming compet.i.tion. You are chosen. Is that Azrael belongs in this cla.s.s? I don't think I've seen him before." Senior Klein said.

"Oh Yes Senior Klein. He's a freshman here." Azure said then pointed at me. Senior Klein looked at me, I nodded.

"A freshman? And is chosen for the compet.i.tion? He's a prodigy like Azure, he's aura tells so." Senior Klein whispered to himself, I heard it through enhanced senses though. "Anyways, just come to the head office."

"Okay. Let's go Azrael." Azure said while gesturing a come-on-gesture.

We reached the head office and the Headmistress was not there. I looked at Azure and I remembered what he said back then.

The White Queen seems to know about my mom. Meeting her would be great, but I need to do well in order to be granted for that wish of mine.

"If you stare at me that long, I would think some malicious thoughts right now." Azure said.

"Sorry, I didn't mean it." I said.

"No worries. I was just kidding earlier. Are you still thinking about what I said regarding your mom?" He asked.

"Well apparently, he is Mistress Aika's son." Azure said.

"Oh. He's Aika's son son. HE'S WHAT?!!!"

"H-headmistress?" Azure asked. Did he said Headmistress?

"Are you really my Senior's son?" Senior? I looked at her.

"You're my mom's junior?" I asked.

"Then its true. Yes. She was some sort of a prodigy in the academy back then. She disappeared after some events though and no one heard of her ever since. So let me introduce myself. I am Razel Scarlet , the current Headmistress of Zeul Academy. And you must be Azrael." She explained abd asked

"Oh, right! I'm sorry for my inappropriate att.i.tude earlier. And yes, I am Azrael." I apologized.

"Hmm your att.i.tude wasn't inappropriate. You're too stiff , breath a little okay?" She smiled, a genuine one.

"So boy, can I ask who your father is?" she asked.

"My mom said he's called Zareal Azure D. Raizel." I responded.

"Zareal? But how?" she asked.

"Why headmistress" I asked back at her. She paused for almost a minute there. She looked at Azure which made me look at him as well. There was something in his eyes, a longing.

"No it's nothing, never mind that . So anyway, the reason I called you here is because-"

"Because of the upcoming festival events?" Azure asked.

"Yes Azure." Headmistress answered.

"Why?" I asked.

"Why what?" Headmistress answered with a question.

"Why me?" I clarified.

"Why not?" She again answered with a question.

"Well, I'm new here. There's a lot of better maven than I am, Mr. Incar and Segnale for example." I answered.

"Just because you're new doesn't mean you're weak compared to those who enrolled earlier than you are. Age doesn't measure your strength, and you might even have a better experience than they do since they live in Zeul City. Do you have any fighting experiences?" Headmistress asked.

"Yes, I've fought Strangers who tries to sneak in our home." I answered.

"In approximation, how many have you fought and how many loses in those fights?" She asked, she's really making me talk a lot.

"About 1200 of them, I've been fighting them for 3 years and everyday, different groups of Strangers tries to sneak in. " I answered.

"1200? That's a lot for your age, how many loses?"

"Zero."

"You see? You've fought 1200 Strangers. Even Azure only fought about 800 of them and he needs help to face them while you face them alone. That's what made you a sage at a young age. These mavens here mostly came from Zeul City, which means that they don't have to fight strangers because somebody else is fighting for them."  Headmistress explained, which made me get the point that I missed earlier.

"So for the event, you will search for two individuals. And none of them must be a tome maven." Headmistress started.

"Azure got no problem with that since he already have a team, so you Azrael, must find two individuals before next week. These two individuals will be your team who will fight with you throughout the year. " she continued.

"Is that all Headmistress?" I asked.

"Yes, and by the way, you'll start tomorrow morning. You'll be excused in your Maven Research activity. But you must still attend to your Personal Attendant in the afternoon. I will notify the instructors in advance so they can excuse you in their cla.s.s. You may now leave, and Azure, stay. I'll talk to you about something else." Headmistress said.

"Wait, one more thing Headmistress." I said.

"What is it?" She asked.

"If you are the Headmistress, then who is Headmaster Graven?" I asked.

"Oh right. Graven is my butler." A butler? And that strong? "He is the acting Headmaster because no one is allowed to know that the headmaster of the academy is a girl, it is unheard of. Only the staffs and tome mavens have the privilege of knowing the truth. Anyways don't let it bother you. Is that all?" She asked.

"Yes Headmistress." I bowed down and got out.

Two individuals huh? Where shall I find them? I'm thinking whether they'll be a melee and I'll be in the rear. One could also be a shielder to tank. Well, let's just see it when I see one.
