Of course, good things are not cheap. Fortunately, Di Fuyi was a rich tyc.o.o.n, and he never looked at the price tag when he shopped. That made Gu Xijiu feel like she had found herself a sugar daddy.
Di Fuyi was very familiar with this place as both of them had walked through every single street. However, they were not just walking around randomly but were, in fact, dropping by specific shops to purchase their items.
Gu Xijiu followed him everywhere as though they were a sweet couple preparing for their wedding. Indeed, Di Fuyi was purchasing some items for their weddings such as a large and beautiful bed, pillows and blankets. He did not forget to ask her opinion when he was looking for the items such as her preferred color, the quality, etc.
Gu Xijiu thought that she was dreaming. She had felt that Di Fuyi would ask his subordinates to take care of these tasks when he wanted to get married, and he would wait for the day to bring the bride home. She was surprised that he would pick out everything himself. Thus, she half-jokingly asked, "Have your subordinates quit their jobs? Do you even need to go shopping by yourself…"
Di Fuyi replied, "This is my only wedding, so it's better to do it by myself. Also, I would prefer if we purchase these items ourselves." They were looking at a big bed in a furniture shop when he said it.
Gu Xijiu saw a seabed, and she felt as though she was floating in the sea when she lied on the bed. However, Di Fuyi was against buying the bed after he touched it. "No way, it's too soft!"
Gu Xijiu was confused. "It is very comfortable!"
Di Fuyi replied, "No, trust me, in the end, you wouldn't like it. Let's get a better one." Di Fuyi did not purchase a pre-made one but pa.s.sed the shop owner a customized draft instead.
Gu Xijiu was speechless as she looked at the dimensions and measurement of the draft! The big bed was double the size of a normal bed! It was big enough for both of them to roll around it. Most importantly, it was made from a very special kind of wood which was very much stronger than normal wood, and it was even shockproof.
The shop owner stared at the two of them with a strange look as he studied the draft. Gu Xijiu could not bear his strange gaze and quickly pulled Di Fuyi aside. She asked as they stood outside the door, "Why are you ordering such a big bed? Are you going to practice martial arts on the bed?"
Di Fuyi grabbed her around the waist and smiled cunningly. "It has to be a big one. You'll know why on our wedding day."
That sounded a little scary. Gu Xijiu blushed and stepped on his foot. Di Fuyi immediately screamed.
Gu Xijiu was shocked and quickly checked on him. "Did I hurt your wound?"
Di Fuyi rubbed his chin on her head. "My dear. I'm still weak now. Could you try to torture me gently?" He seemed to have gotten addicted to acting weak ever since he was injured.
Gu Xijiu was speechless for a moment but then added, "Huh? Really? I think we should postpone our wedding since you're still unfit. I'm worried that you might not be able to make it based on your physical condition."
Di Fuyi immediately pulled her into his arms and kissed her forehead. "Don't worry, though I may not be able to do something else, I'm sure that I'm fit enough to marry you and my quality of service is guaranteed!"
Gu Xijiu rolled her eyes as she ran out of words. Could they even continue their conversation? It seems like the journey to the Kingdom of Mermaids was considered a fruitful one.
