     Pamela, who had been watching the battle unfold from the sidelines, couldn't help but feel a mixture of amazement and fear. Could she really steal Lorelai under Ren's nose when he was this powerful? And what about his other companions?

The thought sent a shiver down her spine, realizing that Ren could easily dispatch Aeolus with a single magical blow what's more her?

Indeed, that's exactly what happened. With one final surge of energy, Ren unleashed a devastating spell that engulfed Aeolus in a blinding flash of light. "This can't be! I can't die!" Aeolus screamed in desperation as he felt himself being reduced to tiny fragments of cloud, stripped of his divine abilities.

And just like that, the G.o.d of Clouds was no more, dissolving into wisps of mist that quickly dispersed into the air.

If Aeolus wanted to reclaim his position as the G.o.d of Clouds, he would have to start from the very beginning again. But for now, the position was vacant, presenting an opportunity for another cloud to gain consciousness and ascend to G.o.dhood.

As the echoes of battle faded away, Ren stood victorious while he surveyed the surrounding for any signs of danger. Pamela approached him cautiously, her eyes wide with disbelief at the display of power she had just witnessed.

Ren turned to her, and she flinched on her toes. "Don't let your guard down. There might still be enemies around," Ren cautioned, his voice firm as he scanned their surroundings for any lingering threats.

"Looks like we won't be having any more trouble from Aeolus," Pamela remarked, her tone filled with satisfaction as she glanced around, confirming the absence of any immediate danger.

Her gaze then shifted to Ren, sparkling with pride and admiration. "You're pretty strong, Ren! You can even defeat a G.o.d!"

She couldn't contain her excitement at having such a formidable ally by her side. With Ren around, no one would dare to ridicule her.

Although her initial plan to steal Lorelai's powers for herself hadn't changed, Pamela knew she needed to strategize on how to achieve it. But for now, she was content to bask in Ren's strength and protection.

"It was just a minor G.o.d. He's nothing special," Ren replied without care.

Suddenly, the cloudy ground beneath them began to tremble, causing both Ren and Pamela to stagger.

"What's happening?" Ren's voice rang out, filled with concern and confusion as he struggled to maintain his balance.

Pamela's eyes widened in alarm as she looked around, the realization dawning on her. "I-it's probably because Aeolus is gone that this forest is collapsing. We have to get out of here!" she warned urgently, her voice laced with panic.

Without hesitation, Pamela zoomed away, riding her broomstick with practiced ease as she soared through the air in a blink of an eye, leaving Ren behind. Ren watched her retreat, a mixture of disbelief and frustration swirling within him. After her lack of a.s.sistance during their battle with Aeolus, he couldn't believe she had the audacity to flee on her own.

But Ren knew there was no time to dwell on Pamela's actions. With the forest crumbling around them, he had to focus on getting out of danger. Gritting his teeth, Ren raced against the rumbling clouds, his heart pounding in his chest as he pushed himself to outrun the collapsing forest. Each step was a battle against the chaos around him, but he refused to falter, driven by the fear that he might get kicked off from heaven if he died.

The Netherworld remained closed off, much like the Heaven Realm, requiring Ren to exercise extra caution.

As debris fell from the trees above and the ground continued to shake beneath his feet, Ren's mind raced with thoughts of escape. He couldn't afford to let fear paralyze him now. With every ounce of effort he exerted, Ren pushed forward, his muscles burning with exertion as he fought to reach safety before it was too late.

In the distance, he could see a faint glimmer of light, a sign of the edge of the forest and the promise of freedom beyond. With renewed vigor, Ren pushed himself harder, his eyes fixed on the beacon of hope ahead. He utilized [Teleportation] and other spells in his a.r.s.enal to hasten his approach towards the exit.

Finally, with one last burst of energy, Ren broke through the crumbling canopy of trees and emerged into the open air, gasping for breath as he collapsed onto the ground outside the forest's edge. He lay there for a moment, his chest heaving with exertion, before slowly pushing himself upright.

"Are you okay?" Pamela asked, her audacity evident as she beamed at him. "Good thing we made it out of there alive, huh?"

Ren was too worried about the others to even spare her the barest attention, his gaze fixed on the collapsing forest behind them, dread washing over him as he thought of Evie and the others.

"Is Evie alright?" Ren scanned the area, relief flooding through him when he spotted her running towards him, a smile lighting up her face as she waved.

She seemed unharmed, and Ren met her with a tight embrace. "I'm glad you're okay," he murmured into her ear.

"I'm glad you're okay too," Evie whispered back, her voice soft and rea.s.suring.

"Whoa, is she your lover or something?" Pamela's curiosity sparked in her eyes. "She's so pretty. In fact, she's prettier than most of the G.o.ddesses here!"

Evie blinked, then glanced at Ren with dead set eyes.

Who's the girl this time? The question was written all over her face, even if she didn't say it.

Ren sighed, sensing the unspoken question. "Don't ask. She's supposed to be the G.o.ddess of Fortune and Luck, but she's nothing important."

"Hoi! What do you mean, nothing important?!" Pamela growled.

Ren chose to ignore her and redirected the conversation as he continued to watch the forest crumble. "Never mind her. Do you know what happened to the others?"

Evie's gaze followed Ren's towards the collapsing forest. Smoke and debris obscured their view, making it difficult to discern what had befallen everything inside.

"I don't know. I was hoping you could tell me," she replied.

Quickly consulting the map, Ren discovered that Azazel and the others were still blinking red dots within the forest.

The question lingered: Were they alright?
