"Hmmm, have you had such dreams before?"
"No, this is the first time. I had dreams before meeting with David, those dreams contained fragments from the past, but the dream concerning outsiders... this has never happened," Elena replied. "Simply, if these are the memories of my mother, then there are even more questions. It turns out that the author of this picture is Jun's mom, but, as Marie said, she did not paint such a picture. And how could she portray an adult Amelia if she was only sixteen then? And what does the fire have to do with it?
Could it be that there was a fire in the workshop, and the picture burned down, so it was not in the collection? But then it would not be at the exhibition today, right? Aggh, my head is already spinning, and also this incomprehensible message," Elena rubbed her temples, she had the feeling that something strange was happening, and she did not like it.
Armand thought for a moment, a.n.a.lyzing Elena's story, he had several a.s.sumptions, but there was still little evidence to confirm them, "Did you not think that your dream was not about the past, but about the future?"
"About future? Is that possible?" Elena raised her eyebrows in surprise, but the man's serious expression made her think of this version as a quite possible one.
"Considering who your mother is, this is more than possible," Armand paused for a moment, the girl noticed that he hesitated about whether to continue his thought or not, "You know Elena, I'm not sure if it's time to tell you about it, and I don't know if Amelia wanted you to know about it, but the fact is that your mom really was-"
Before Armand had time to finish his thought, his speech was interrupted by the cries of people rushing out into the street. Black smoke poured from all windows, instantly enveloping the gallery building with its caustic veil.
"Wh-what ... what's going on?" Elena looked at the building in horror.

"I think this is exactly what you saw in your dream. Beware!" Armand shouted and closed the girl with himself, the gla.s.s in the windows cracked from the heat and the fragments flew in different directions.
"Oh my G.o.d, Corey and Ashley are in the same place!" Elena's hands turned cold and began to tremble.
"We need to go to the main exit, it was the closest and widest exit from the gallery, people had to go there!" Armand grabbed the girl by the hand, and they ran to the other side of the building, where a crowd of guests had already gathered. People shouted, someone cried, someone sat on the ground and coughed up from the smoke that got into lungs.
"Corey! Corey!" Elena screamed the name of her friend, she ran around the crowd several times, but neither Corey nor Ashley was visible, the friend's phone did not answer. "Armand, what do we do, I can't find them!" Terrible thoughts got into the girl's head, she prayed that her loved ones were all right.
"Wait a second, I will check," Armand closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, they instead of blue turned completely black, like the deepest night. He looked around at the crowd, making sure that Corey was not among those present, and then turned his eyes to the building. "There are two people left on the first floor in the gallery, a man and a woman. On the second floor, I see a man, a woman and a child. Wait a minute," he froze for a moment, his eyes widened in surprise, "A child is on the roof, a man and a woman are on the second floor."
"If the child is Ashley, then Corey is on the second floor with that man?" Elena exclaimed.
"What did you just say?!" A loud male voice made the woman shudder, she turned and saw Daniel behind her. His hair was disheveled, and his breath was intermittent, it was obvious that he ran a lot. "Repeat what you just said!"
"I see four adults, two of them are on the first floor and the other two are on the second, a child is on the roof. This is Ashley," Armand repeated his words.
Daniel looked at the man, then at the building burning in the fire, without thinking for a second, he rushed inside.
"Daniel!" Elena cried out in horror, flames engulfed the entire first floor and were rapidly rising.
"Idiot!" Armand rushed after him, but the woman grabbed his hand, "Do not worry, everything will be fine with me, but we need to look after this guy," he let go of Elena's hand and went into the burning building.
The woman wrapped her arms around herself to calm the trembling in her body, the sounds of sirens filled the surroundings, two fire engines arrived, the police and the ambulance. Police pushed the crowd from the building so that people do not interfere with the work of firefighters.
"Why so slow?! Quickly, put out the fire! Do you have any idea how much damage I'll suffer if these pictures burn out?!" Carter shouted at the firemen, bursting with anger.
"Mr. Carter, just calm down! There are people in the building, and you are worried about the pictures?!" Elena was ready to explode, this man had been getting on her nerves with his behaviour for two hours already, but she did not expect such a cynical statement even from him.
"I don't care about that! Those pictures cost several million dollars!"
b.u.mP!
The crowd gasped and froze in shock, Carter fell to the ground and grabbed his nose, blood running down his face. Elena shook her hand, the pain from the punch was stronger than she supposed, but she would gladly hit him a second time.
"I think I asked you to shut up, Mr. Carter. You are interfering with the work of the fire brigade," Elena looked at the man lying on the ground at her feet with total disdain and disgust.
"Oh, you rubbish, you broke my nose!" He prodded, trying to stop the bleeding. There were several moments in his life when he raised his hand to a woman, but never vice versa. He experienced such public humiliation for the first time in his life.
"An ambulance car is located five meters away from us, where they will provide you with the necessary a.s.sistance. You can send a bill for medical expenses to Lenali Enterprise," Elena replied and turned away; this person did not deserve even a single second of her attention.
All that worried her at the moment was the safety of her friends.
