"Yes, President w.a.n.g. The car's on the way sir, so please bear a little," the a.s.sistant who's on leave answered.
"Do I have a choice? Just hurry, or I'm gonna be late."
Zhiyong didn't wait for any reply from his a.s.sistant anymore as he presses the end b.u.t.ton.
He cursed inwardly, looking at the exit of the crowded airport. He was so p.i.s.sed because instead of taking the first-cla.s.s seats, his incapable temp secretary arranged an economy cla.s.s. Worse is the temp forgot to arrange a car for him.
He strode to the exit when he spotted a young boy with panicky eyes in the middle of the crowd. The poor guy is fiddling his fingers while looking left and right as if finding someone. A minute later, his face started to sour with his lips pouting and chubby cheeks puffing. Tears started to form in the corner of his eyes.
Initially, Zhiyong planned to ignore what he saw but his heart sunk when he saw the little one's tears forming as his cute little face started to change on the verge of crying.
'Today is not my day!' he said to himself while shaking his head.
He walked towards the boy whose tears started to stream. His shoulders went up and down as he sobbed. Albeit in such a state, it is apparent that the little boy tried to be brave. He didn't scream his mother's name or anything. He just shut his mouth and cried inwardly.
Zhiyong stopped in front of the boy.

'So, what am I supposed to do now?' he asked himself again.
He slowly lifted his hand and reached the little one's head. Instantly, the boy who had bowed his head lifted his gaze to meet his eyes, which awestruck the president.
"Hey..." he muttered in a low voice, almost inaudible to be heard by anybody.
The little one gave him a questioning look, confused as to who he is. He wiped any trace of cowardice with the handkerchief he has gotten from his pocket.
Zhiyong crouched narrowing the gap between him and the boy.
"Where is your mother?" he asked out of concern while staring deep into the boy's eyes.
The latter opened his mouth briefly and shut it again. Then he shook his head and pout at Zhiyong with a disapproving look.
"Mommy told me not to talk to strangers. You are one of them so I am not talking to you," the little one said.
The president nodded as if understanding, "I respect you buddy, but aren't you lost? Where's your mom so..."
Before Zhiyong could finish what he was about to say, the boy raised his hand into his face like he was saying 'Talk to my hand.'
'This lost brat!'
"Okay! If you don't want any help, then I think a big boy like you will do fine finding your mother on your own in this vast place. I'll get going then," he said placing his hands on his pockets.
The boy looked around to see that the people around are busy going to and fro. He looked up at Zhiyong with pitiful eyes like that of a little puppy. It seems telling him 'Please don't leave.'
"Oh c' mon! You don't want to talk to me but you are shamelessly giving me that look?"
The boy just stared at him as if contemplating what to do when he bit his lips and fiddled his fingers. Then his eyes shone. He straightened his back, facing Zhiyong with a calm face before stretching his little hand.
The big fellow raised a brow at the little one's fellow.
"Hi, Mister Stranger. My name is Cheng Shuyang, and you are?" he introduced himself with a smile flashed across his face.
This made Zhiyong's look change until he cannot suppress his soft side anymore especially when the boy continued to expectantly extend his arms for him to accept it.
He took the boy's hand and shook it. Surprisingly, the more he looked at the little man in front of him, the more drawn he is.
'Hmmm... Why do I feel like this boy is a little familiar?'
He snapped out of his thoughts when Shuyang asked, "Your name mister stranger?" emphasizing the word 'stranger.'
"Oh! This stranger here is named w.a.n.g Zhiyong."
With the cutest toothy grin, Shuyang said batting his eyes innocently, "You know my name. I know your name. We are not strangers anymore, right?"
With this, Zhiyong was whipped. Gazing down at Shuyang's amber eyes reminded him of his late wife's mannerisms before she asks him for something.
It was amazing how his mood from foul, has improved just because of the lost brat who acted cool. He nodded in response to Shuyang's inquiry with a smile.
It was also reciprocated with a beam by the latter, "So, uncle Z will you please help me?"
"Sure thing, buddy," he answered ruffling Shuyang's hair which earned him with a chuckle that sounded music to his ears.
