Entering the apartment, I check up on hora who's still purring cutely.

Heading into the kitchen I decide to make supper. Since I'm craving for some Chimek ( Korean fried chicken and beer), I have to make a separate dish for hora since she can't stomach chicken.

She had a bad experience when she was younger and now, she disavowed it for life.

How could she deprive herself of the wonders of chicken! In a couple of years, she will be friends with Jenn and Soo from BP, I hope Soo is able to convince her to join the bright side.

Rolling up my sleeves, I proceed to make my batter for the chicken while simultaneously making a broth for rice cakes.

Not long thereafter, the delicious smell of fried chicken, and sweet and spicy rice cakes with pork belly fill the kitchen.

As I'm busy tasting the broth making sure it's not to spicy, someone's small arms wrap around my waist as her head rests in the curvature of my shoulder blades.

"You hungry?" I ask the little mouse whose holding me tightly

I can feel her nod. "What did you make?" her voice raises sweetly

"Chimek for me and for you I made your favourite."

"Tteokbokki?"

"Why aren't you the little smarty pants" I swing my body around as I'm still trapped in my embrace, I face my little one that still has signs of sleep present.

I lean down giving her a quick peck on the bridge of her nose which causes her to crinkle her nose in response.

"Want a taste?"

"Uh-hum"

"Well , wait, 5 more minutes!"

"What's with that! I hate you" Her eyes show her adamant dislike at my teasing but she never let me go, which shows that her words don't really match what she feels.

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Be careful, it's hot okay" I say as I grab a small spoonful blowing it before bringing it to her lips.

She takes a mouthful and almost instantly releases sounds of gratification.

"Is it good?"

"Absolutely delicious" She says while fanning her mouth from the heat

"Why don't you set the table. While I dish up"

With real difficulty she finally lets me go before setting the table for the two of us, she then makes her self comfortable on one of the chairs.

After I dish up, the family of two begin eating comfortably. As Irene makes noises of contentment with every bite.

Two empty dishes later, I feel somewhat uncomfortable as I keep taking glances at her.

Noticing my constant gaze, Irene finally gets fed-up "Are you going to tell me ? Or how much longer are you going to make me wait"

"Tell you?"

"I'm pretty sure, that (she points to my collar).... is not my lipstick"

I can feel the sweat run down spine as I have just been caught.

Not that I wasn't going to confess but.... I'm pretty sure she's going to kill me!

This is why dating a smart girl is a problem. They are way to smart!

"Uhm" Rattling in my seat I grab on to my shirt, pulling it into view. And on que, I find a shade of pink lipstick in plain sight. "This is.... "

The atmosphere which was just warm and familial a second ago seems to have become the territory of the Ice queen. I swear the wind has even changed direction, as the lights ominously begin to flicker.

"Who is this this time?" She asks exasperated as her 5'2 feet figure towers over me.

My eyes shake, darting back and forth at 3000 miles per hour. Where did all my confidence from earlier go?

"Spit it out" She commands. Something tells me, that if I take even a second longer. My life will be in jeopardy .

Struggling to gather enough saliva in my throat, I eventually manage to stutter out a name, "H-H-Hyo noona"

At first she seems surprised at the name before she brushes her teeth in her mouth with her tongue. A clear sign of annoyance. "Won. Yoo-ah And Hyo!! Are you collecting girls like trading cards?"

"What's your excuse this time?"

"Uhm… I rejected her though."

"Oh really?... Dylan Park" her majesty's voice seems to carry a hint of killer intent. "Maybe If I cut off that thing between your legs will that solve everything"

I wince internally, nearly dropping my hands to protect my symbol of manhood but I know that once I do that. It will be game over

"I .... don't think we have to go ... that far Choo. I mean, nothing happened"

"Shut up! If nothing happened. Why don't you tell me what happened " She's on the verge of break down, her voice is vibrating as her Daegu accent begins to show for the first time in a while

"Well…" I explain the entire situation right down to me explaining to Hyo, that I would never fall for anyone other that her.

She closes her eyes, while breathing and exhaling ever so slightly. Making her way to me.

"Close your eyes, clench your teeth and get on your knees" She commands

"What are you … going to do" I nervously ask

"Just do it"

"Fine" I oblige closing my eyes and clenching my jaw in antic.i.p.ation.

Slowly I can hear her steps grow closer and closer.

It's then that someone's arms wraps around me giving me warmth.

Stunned, I shift trying to see the figure but my vision is blurred, "I'm not getting hit?"

"This is your reward for doing good today." She says as she pats my head slowly like a good dog.

We stay in this position for a while before I finally start resembling a functional adult again.

"Baechu... I would never want to lose you. Trust me" my voice quivers as I'm almost prayerfully beg her

"I'm not going anywhere... I promise. "

I pull away from her and face her beautiful eyes, taking a deep breath at that heavy word before, speaking " All I care about is the present and having you in my present is good enough"

She smiles back this time. A genuine one. A blindingly sincere one.

" Baechu you know you are too good for me right. I'm never going to let you escape."

"You better remember that for the rest of your life" She jokes

"I will"

.....

The rest of the night is uneventful as we share the rest of the night wrapped around each other/

Holding onto her hand, I can't help but remember something, "Baechu. I think Got married is airing, want to watch it together?"

Turning it on, we enjoy the episode until I realise just where we are heading.

Faking a yawn, I try and reach for the remote

"Wow I'm so tired right now. Why don't we go to sleep"?

"Its just getting interesting. What scene did you practice with Tae-ah?"

"Uh. What?"

"What scene did you practice with her?"

"Oh…. Just something boring."

"Really?"

"Hmmm, yeah nothing worth mentioning. So why don't we just head to bed." I ask again, as she finally concedes.

With that, I know I just put off my death by 12 hours.

Well as they say, tomorrow's problems are for tomorrow.
