Chris didn't expect his son to be like this, so he agreed, "Okay, but only after fully preparing. And no solo this time. We're traveling in groups. Follow the chain of command. Don't fight it head on. You agree to this, then we have a deal."

Max thought about it for a minute and said, "Okay, I agree but I need something first."

"What is it?" Chris asked.

Max smiled and said, "Can you get me ankle weights and wrist weights?"

Chris frowned hearing this. He knew his son wouldn't ask anything unnecessary. But suddenly asking for weights was a bit unexpected to him. "Why do you what that?"

"Nothing. Just planned something creative. Just get me each of them varying from 10 to 20 pounds. And a box of nails too," Max said this without any change of emotion.

Chris finally sighed and agreed, "Okay. you'll get it by the end of the week. And from today you'll be coming with us at night for patrolling. Max suddenly thought of something and said, "I think we should tell Allison about everything. I mean she already suspects that we're hiding something. And I don't want her to learn this from Grandpa or Aunt. They're both lunatics. If I wasn't smart enough, I would've been turned into one of them."

Chris hearing this thought seriously and replied, "I know you mean well, but now isn't the time. Let her get used to the people here. We'll tell her slowly. I don't want you rushing things."

Max frowned hearing this and said, "I won't say anything for now, but try keeping Aunt and Grandpa away from her. If I hear that they're coming here, I'll break the news even before you know it."

Chris didn't know whether to agree to this or not, so he only said, "When the time comes, we'll see. Now get yourself ready."

Max nodded hearing this and walked away. Watching him walk away, Chris sighed, "Gerard, what did you try to do to my son? He seems to hate you two more than those wolves."

Others in the room didn't speak till now, but they knew that there Argent family is complicated, so they decided to shut themselves.

Max told Allison that he couldn't join the party because he was tired from the workout in the field today. Allison just humped once and didn't say much and went to the party.

Max went back to his room to check out his new costume. He decided to use a outfit similar to Black Goku, but instead of Gi he decided to switch up with Black leather jacket. After donning it he went downstairs to meet his father and his team.

When Scott reached Lydia's home he saw Allison getting off her mother's car. He somehow managed to bring up the courage to go and talk to her.

She knew he was just hitting up a conversation and she was unknowingly happy about that, so she replied, "He said he was tired because of the workout today at lacrosse field."

As soon as Scott heard this, he was instantly happy. For some reason he was still vigilant towards Max. But but that he's not here he decided to stick around her. so he said, "Think we could go together, because I don't have much friends in there."

Allison smiled at him and said, "Of course. Even I don't know anyone there except Lydia."

They both walked together to the house.

Lydia was waiting for her two new friends on the living room. Soon sure saw Scott and Allison walking in and chatting happily. She went to them and said, "So are you two, like, together now or something?"

Both of them at the same time replied, "No!" And again laughed at themselves.

Lydia saw this and said, "Well whatever you say."
