Chapter 391 Iddy (11)
“Nyoooo!”
Kirikiri screamed loudly.
What do you mean no? You’re screaming without even thinking twice.
“This is miney.”
Kirikiri said as she wrapped her body around the cake plate.
Hey, that’s what I bought for you.
“Hing, this cake already belongs to me.”
“Umm, no.”
Kirikiri was hiding the cake plate on the ground like a chicken incubating an egg.
Her arms and head were blocking in front of her.
Unfortunately, she had a hole on the side.
I shoved my hand in and took the cake plate.
“Aaangg, it’s mine!”
Kirikiri grasped and tried to take back the plate in my hand.
“Would you like to eat together or alone?”
“I’ll eat alone!”
When it came to her cake, Kirikiri knew no compromise.
I tried to persuade her in a kind way, but at some point, the persuasion itself felt annoying.
I just returned the plate to Kirikiri and bought Iddy a separate plate of cake.
“Eat.”
“Thank you, Croak.”
Kirikiri talked to Iddy with a friendly att.i.tude, perhaps because she had preserved her own cake.
She was asking what happened on the 7th floor stage.
“Croak, I was dealing with the monsters there after the mother body in Room 8 escaped. Then suddenly a monster entered Room 8 and took the monsters from Room 8 to Room 7.”
Iddy mumbled with the cake.
Since she has a big mouth, she didn’t seem to have any trouble talking while eating.
The monsters in Room 8 moved to Room 7.
The monsters from room 7 and 8 gathered and flocked to room 4.
No wonder there were so many.
“Croak, after killing the remnants, I felt uneasy about the monsters moving freely around the room. If they gathered in one place and launched an offensive, it would be a big deal. So, I went into the 4th room where Captain was.”
“Good judgment!”
Kirikiri exclaimed vigorously as she said that Iddy’s decision was correct!
Well, it would be better if she wiped the cake cream on her face and spoke.
Kirikiri quickly ate up the cake and began to look at Iddy’s plate with bitter eyes, and I had to buy another plate of cake to give it to her.
* * *
“Then you’re saying that the same monsters on the 7th floor appear on the 8th floor stage?”
“Yep!”
It’s unique.
Kirikiri said, the enemies on the 8th floor are also the Dombas that appeared on the 7th floor.
Two stages in the same place and targeting the same enemies.
I think it’s the first time
“Any more questions?”
Kirikiri asked.
Of course there are.
“The 7th floor stage. How were you supposed to clear that usually?
“Hehe, it would be better not to be curious about the previous stages.”
Kirikiri always wants to save information and have me ask about future stages rather than ask about a stage that has pa.s.sed.
However, now I’ll get to fulfill my curiosity and collect information on this past stage so I can aid the challengers coming up from below.
Of course, it is unclear whether the challengers behind me will be able to climb to the 7th floor.
“First of all, the best way is to match up five party members and challenge it.”
But I can’t do that
Anyway, there must be a way to clear it solo without a party member.
On the 6th floor, there was a simple way.
It was to be strong enough to fight all those skeletons alone.
It’s simple, and it’s d.a.m.n hard.
But on the 7th floor, there was really no way.
If there were no party members, it was designed to be unbeatable in the first place.
“….hi-hing.”
Kirikiri laughed softly.
… It was a strangely disturbing laugh.
“Is it really designed to be unbeatable?”
“It, it’s not?”
It’s not.
The att.i.tude was a little bit unsettling, though.
She said no.
Is there going to be a stage with a level of difficulty that you can never clear by yourself?
Like a stage with 100 party members.
I’m anxious.
“Uuuuummmm?”
I tried to make Kirikiri confess with a cake.
Kirikiri insisted that she should not give information about that stage that will appear later.
“So there is no way to beat the 7th floor by yourself?”
“Of course, there is a way. If the mother body runs away from the 7-2 floor, the Dombas will be frustrated.”
Kirikiri explained.
I nodded.
“You can take those Dombas with you as subordinates.”
What is that?
That’s unexpected.
“Of course it won’t be easy. Anything else? Any other questions?”
There wasn’t much.
I’ve already heard the advice for the 8th floor stage.
“Did you know that the first day of the dialogue meeting will be held soon?”
I nodded at Kirikiri’s question.
The day of the next dialogue meeting was approaching in a few days.
Kim Min-hyuk delivered the news once a day.
The mood of the community was now becoming more chaotic.
In the end, no compromise was reached until the day of the dialogue agreement.
It was war again.
* * *
[You have entered the 8th floor stage.]
Kirikiri’s mood was unprecedented, so I wasted more time than I expected in Kirikiri’s field.
I didn’t even need to rest in the waiting room, so I went straight to the eighth floor.
The eighth floor was engulfed in darkness.
The floor was obviously similar to the 7th floor, but neither the ceiling nor the walls were visible.
It was a bewildering darkness.
There doesn’t even seem to be a single ray of light at all.
Although vague outlines could be seen through the use of skills, there was nothing clearly visible.
“Croak.”
“Iddy, what do you see?”
“I can’t see. My eyes at night are rather bright, but I can’t see anything. Croak.”
Iddy couldn’t look beyond the darkness either.
The lizard can’t see it.
It’s only natural that people don’t see it.
I removed the heating stone and cloth from my inventory.
Had I known this would happen, I would have bought a glowstone.
Kirikiri gives some really useful advice, but not advice that only guarantees convenience.
If she had given me some advice to prepare a glowstone or at least a torch…
As usual, I lit the cloth with the heating stone.
It was then that I saw Iddy’s face right next to me.
“Croak.”
I looked around.
The wall was still invisible.
The ceiling was so high that it was difficult to reach even by using all my blinks.
[The 8th floor stage begins.]
Description: Occupying the Izaaku Dungeon, the Dombas hordes have succeeded in uniting their society through decades of development, cooperation, and warfare.
After that, it was decided that the biggest factor that made their development and life uncomfortable was none other than the structure of the Izaaku Dungeon.
The structure of the Izaaku Dungeon, linked by thousands of tiny rooms and mobile portals, once allowed the Dombas to defend themselves.
But after driving out all the enemies, they were nothing more than obstacles to each other’s traffic.
The Dombas broke down the walls through a major expansion project, and succeeded in making the Izaaku Dungeon into a huge joint.
So time pa.s.sed.
The Dombas were then starting to feel cramped in Izaaku Dungeon.
They were able to act without discomfort even in the sun, and they began to go out and gather information about their surroundings.
The area around the dungeon was afraid of the invasion of the Dombas, and once again asked the adventurers to clear them up.
The Dombas’ mother bodies became very few in number as their society consolidated.
However, the mother bodies are still the center of Dombas society and their spiritual pillar.
If the mother bodies were gone, the Dombas would not even think of uniting to invade the outside world.
Defeat the mother bodies of the Dombas and bring peace to the area around the dungeon.
[Success Objective]
Defeat the Dombas’ mother bodies (0/36)
Come on
This time, it was a very kind explanation.
It was different from the 7th floor, where the information given to me was very little and then explained later with a message whenever I realized the difference through my own body.
From the very beginning, from the setting of the background to the goal, it told me everything.
If you read the description of the message, the location of the 8th floor stage is the Izaaku Dungeon that is the background of the 7th floor stage.
But it seemed like a lot of time had pa.s.sed.
“Not bad?”
“What do you mean? Croak.”
The kindness of the message.
And the monsters running over there.
The Dombas were running, probably because they saw that we had made a fire.
It was in the dark, so the light was clearly visible.
By the way, why couldn’t these guys who have developed for hundreds of years not be able to make a single lamp?
I was able to understand the situation by seeing the Dombas running towards us.
Oh, those, they don’t have eyes.
Of course, there would be no need for a light.
It seemed that it was not because of the lights that they came to us, but the sound of our words.
One Dombas running in front shouted.
“Stop! You have trespa.s.sed into the Izaaku Kingdom!”
Oh boy.
It speaks well
“Since you broke in without going through the entry point, if you resist, you will be shot dead on the spot! Accept arrest silently and you will be escorted to the entrance office….”
The group of Dombas that came running was about five.
It’s not enough.
The guy in the front is a little flashy
The Dombas in the back are dressed in uniform.
The level of clothing is quite high.
The mother body was not included.
“What to do, Captain?”
“What to do?”
The mission of the 8th floor stage is to a.s.sa.s.sinate the leaders.
Ultimately, the goal is to kill their leader and disintegrate the group.
I wondered if it was necessary to follow them and get them through conversation.
All you have to do is grab it from the start and get into it.
“Croak, you’re the captain.”
“Isn’t that a good plan?”
“No, you’re the captain because you say crazy things. Croak.”
This brat?
“Croak, Croak.”
Iddy laughed loudly and grabbed her spear.
No matter what, Iddy does not refuse or shy away from battles.
What a good subordinate.
I also took out my sword and shield from my inventory.
“Stop! Stop…! Kaaaaa!”
A scream echoed across the quiet city outskirts.
* * *
I got a map.
The map was drawn quite accurately.
However, it had to be checked by touching the surface, not by color, but by touch like a braille code.
I think the Dombas checked it not by looking at it, but by touch.
I don’t know how to see things without eyes.
Will it look like an ultrasound?
I don’t know yet.
Next time I catch a Dombas, I’ll have to ask that too.
“Croak, unfortunately, the mother bodies are scattered all over the place.”
It was as Iddy said.
In the Dombas society of the Izaaku Dungeon that had become a kingdom, the mother bodies were literally n.o.blemen.
Rather than gathering in one place, they were wandering around for various purposes.
Rather than directly attacking the city head-on, Iddy and I infiltrated and hid inside the city.
Dombas as well as a small number of other races had entered the city.
It wasn’t for nothing that the Dombas I met on the 8th floor were talking about the entry office.
Thanks to this, it was easy to hide in the city.
We were looking for an empty house and using this as our hiding place.
We first decided to target individual roaming mother bodies.
If more than ten mother bodies were gathered in one place, it was clear that we would be defeated without doing anything.
Because the paralysis ability of the mother bodies is still there.
So the plan was to hide in the city and a.s.sa.s.sinate the mother bodies one by one and reduce their number.
“Croak, each one a day. It will be over in 15 days.”
What 15 days?
Ten days will be fine.
“Croak, do you have any plans?”
“Yes.”
There is one most important point in our a.s.sa.s.sination.
I asked Iddy if she knew what it was.
“I don’t know. Croak.”
“The enemy should not know that we’re only killing the mother bodies.”
When the mother bodies start to gather in one place, there is no solution.
“Croak, then what do we do?”
There was one very useful method.
“Terror.”
